Chapter 16 ~ Annabeth

SO WE HAVE A NEW CHARACTER! LACEY'S BEST FRIEND BRIANNA! WE'RE GONNA SEE ALLOT MORE OF HER AS NOW SHE'S IN ON IT AND SHE HAS A KEY ROLE! ;D

Chapter 16

Annabeth

I felt a coldness sweep over me. Everyone just stared at the puddle of blood. Whos blood is it? I got thinking. I don't know Reece that well so i don't know if he's a good fight or not. I looked up and saw my half sister Brianna comforting Lacey. I've only just met her but she's already been amazing. I had an idea but i didn't want to say it infront of Lacey. So i pulled Percy aside.

"I'm not liking his Perce!" I shouted in a hush tone. "What if they've striked again!" he looked at me his face sincere. Then he just shook his head.

"I dunno Annabeth, we just have to hope for he best." he turned to the others. "Guys lets go, its dangerous to be out here." I looked over at Lacey and Saw Brianna waving at me to come closer. I did. I got close and she pulled me aside.

"Look...." She pointed to a set of foot prints. There was two one struggling the other one fine. Reece and the mystory man.

"What do you wanna do Annabeth?" I was thinking. "We can't leave him sis, what if he's in danger?" She had a point then i came up with a plan.

"take Lacey back and meet my by the edge of camp." Bri nodded and done exactly that.

Half hour later we were ready to go. We wen back to the pool of blood. It was definately human thats for sure. But the culpret could be human as well. Lets just hope i'm right. I turned to Brianna.

"Right heres the plan," I paused quickly re thinking it through. "We're gonna follow the steps of course until they end."

"What are we gonna do then?" I can her anger, curiosity and determination in her voice.

" Look for clues i guess." I shrugged and we started following the steps. Every now and then we saw pools of blood. We're getting close.... I unsheathed my dagger and nodded for Bri to do the same. I gazed at her sword in awe. It looks like fire, all i wanna do is stare at it. Bri snapped her fingers.

"Focus!" She hissed. I nodded. We went ten more yards and i pulled her to the ground. Quickly i slapped a hand over her mouth to stop her yelling. "Shhhh!" I hissed violently. She nodded and relax. I pointed to behind me and we peeped through.

There was a fire dead in the centre of the opening. We didn' see the smoke as the trees blocked it! Its not impossible and Briana thought the same.

"Stupid trees! I bet if they weren't here we would've seen it much quicker!" She hissed, i can tell she's annoyed at this. I nodded in agreement. I carried on scanning until i saw him.

A little off the the right Reece was out cold. His hands and feet were bound and his sword was protruding from the ground. Man i need a sword like these guys! he didn't seem like he was hurt but i was proved wrong when i heard my sister gasp.

"Look! He's bleeding!" i looked where she was pointing. By his leg was a swimming pool of blood. I could feel the colour go from my face. He needs out help! And Now! slowly i made my way to the trees behind Reece. I made sure my sister was following me, thank the gods she was. I got there and i tensed up. I heard some one coming from a short distance away. We need to get a move on! I Pulled Brianna with me and we went to Reece. She looked a me like i was weird, but got the jist of it when i started lifting him.

She gently grabbed his legs and we scurried to were we wher hiding. We dropped him as we rested. a bit. this is gonna be a long night. We were agout to pick him up again when we froze. We knew some one was behind us. I was just afraid to turn around.

I looked behind me and almost screamed. Unfortunaely Brianna did. standing behind us was a man wearing a spider mask! Spiders are a child of athena's worst nightmare!

We unsheathed our weapons and backed up. He just walked towards us slowly almost menacing like.

"Annabeth?" Bri's voice was just above a whisper

"Yeah?" I didn't take my eyes of the man.

"If i die tell Jason i took a twenty from his wallet?" I laughed softly. Jason was Bri's bofriend. He had blonde hair and green eyes. Only me and Bri knew who was his godly parent, he felt i wasn't the right time yet.

"Sure thing sis." With that we jumped in to battle. I took his right and Brianna took his left. We were about to advance when he grew two swords. Dam this is gonna be a challenge! I didn't waste time, i nodded at my sister and we advance. He swiped at Brianna first and she went flying back. I heard a thud and i winced.

I glared at him. He hurt my sister! Now he's gonna pay! I ran and jumped. My dagger deeply cut his arm and he howled in pain. I smiled as a waterfall of blood covered his arm. He glared at me and i froze. No!

I ran again this time at the last minute i dropped my dagger. I Jumped with all my might  and managed to flip over him. In the process i took off his mask. He screamed and tried to cover his face but it was too late i already saw it.

I heard Brianna scream. "LE ME AT HIM!" I pushed her back and she was suprised. "HE HURT REECE!"

"BRIANNA!" I glared at her and she begrudgingly shut her mouth. She looked over and her eyes widened as she saw who it was.
