Lucy's POV

Walking to the guild was peaceful. Natsu and Happy went ahead so I just walked along the river with plue.

The guild was so lively when we went in. I went to the request board to pick out a job. Hmmm.

"Watch ya lookin at Luce?" I turn around to see Natsu with a sleeping Happy on his head. "Aw he's so cute." I say pointing at Happy. Natsu smiles at my comment.

"Oh I forgot I was picking out a job, I've been bored so. I wanted to choose a job, wanna join me?" I say with a smile. "Yeah sure I'd love to." he said with a toothy smile. "So which one do you want to do?" he asked. I looked at the board. Hmmm. "Oh!" I point at a paper. It said to get some theaves out of town. It was 50,000 jewels. I turn to Natsu. "How about this one." he knods at my choice. "Awesome!" We head to the train station and Natsu already looks sick. "Come on already?" I say to him trying to pick him up. "I can't help it." Oh boy this is going to be a long trip. On the train ride Natsu lays his head on my lap with Happy on my head now. I rub Natsu's head trying to comfort him. He seemed to drift to sleep. Oh well at least there's no more complaining.

Natsu's POV

I feel like my stomach hates me. Lucy starts to rub my head and it makes me feels a little better. I soon drift to sleep.

~The dream~I was fighting a monster when I hear a scream. I look over and see erza getting hurt Gray goes over and helps her. I continue to fight off the beast. "This better be worth it." I say to myself. " Fire Dragon ROAR!" All of a sudden the monster disappears and Lucy replaces its spot. "Ahhhhhhh!!" no no Lucy, I run up to her. "Lucy!" she opens an eye and says "Natsu I-I l-." she cuts off and dies. "Lucy? Luuuuucccccyyyy!!!" I say tears making my vision blurry and the ground begins to shake.~end of the dream~

"Natsu wake up!" I start to wake up to Lucy shaking me. I feel a little sick but hug her. I thought she died. "Don't ever leave me,promise?" I say in a whisper into her ear. "Wha- what do you me-?" I interrupted her. "Promise me!" I say a little louder. "Yeah of course." I hug her tighter to make sure that it was just a dream. She hugs tighter to. It felt nice until my stomach interrupts with motion sickness. "S-sorry." I say to her letting go. "Its ok." she says with a smile.

Lucy's POV

While Natsu was dreaming he started talking in his sleep. "Fire--dragon.... Roar." I smile he must be dreaming about fighting something again. I was going to start looking out the window again until I hear him say Lucy. Huh? I look at his face, he was crying?! I got worried and started to shake him. "Natsu? Natsu!" I shaking him even more. Wake up. I say to myself he finally wakes up and hugs me. "What the?" We sit there hugging and talking until his stomach interrupts. I was a little disappointed I still didn't know what happened in the dream and why was he crying. We finally get there and we set up camp. "You sure you want to take first shift?" I say asking Natsu. He nodds. "Ok then." I lay down and start to drift to sleep.

Natsu's POV

I let Lucy sleep so I could think of the dream, I also kept watch. But I couldn't sleep that night. I didn't want to have the dream again. *crunch crunch* "huh? Who's there?" I ask looking into the forest. Lisanna comes out. What is she doing here? "Lisanna what are you doing here?" I ask her. She smiles and looks at Lucy's tent. "Did you like your dream?" she asked me. I was confused did she mean the one of Lucy dyeing. "The one with Lucy? No, and how'd you know about it?" I ask her getting a bit annoyed. She starts to giggle. "Ah yes that one, I gave it to so you can look into the future. Once she's gone me and you can be together." she says facing me slowly walking closer. "What! Why would you want that to happen to Lucy and what makes you think I'd date you?" I say backing up. "Hehehe you can't protect her for ever. I will make her pay for taking you away from me." she starts walking back into the forest. "Lucy." I say in a whisper. I go over to her tent and sit at the entrance. I look at her and happy snuggling. "I'll protect you." I say with a smile. I look into the woods.
