Chapter 4: The First Step

Today is the day that Nanami and Asuma take the first step in becoming ninjas.

"Asuma,Nanami are you two ready yet ?!" questioned Hiruzen from downstairs

"I'm ready I don't know about Mimi"

"I'm nervous,but ready too let's do this"

"Before we leave,you two picture right here,now, I will not take no for an answer".

Ordered Hiruzen as he positioned the camera towards his children and said

"Smile big".

Which the two obediently did. With that done they all made their way to the academy,of course, they were the first ones there forcing them to wait for what seemed like hours until kids approached from different directions with their parents. The kids immediately started talking and making friends all ,but Nanami she had preferred to keep to herself and stand beside Hiruzen. Hiruzen kneeled infront of her and asked

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing,I just prefer to stay by your side".

"Well then, you are more than welcome to do so until it's time for you to enter the academy,ok?"

"Ok, thanks"

"No need to, besides I always enjoy your company"

Asuma approached them and said

"Hey Mimi, I just made a new friend come over so I can introduce you two, so you two can be the best of friends". "Kurenai, this is my sister Nanami, Nanami this is my new friend Kurenai".

"Nice meeting you Nanami"

"It's nice to meet you too Kurenai"

"Tell you what, let's become friends how does that sound?"

"Sounds great Kurenai, I'd love to be your friend"

The two girls started giggling and complementing one another until a boy wearing green spandex approached Nanami.

"Hello there beautiful flower, I am Might Guy" he said pointing at himself with a smile showing his seemingly sparkling teeth.

"Would you do this handsome devil a favor and become my girlfriend? Together we will be the perfect youthful couple. I promise to protect you, my youthful flower".

He finished with hearts in his eyes and drool slipping from his mouth.

"Sorry Guy,but I like someone already" she whispered so only he'd hear

"Sorry to break it to you ,Guy, but she is my sister and therefore it's my duty to make sure she doesn't date anyone until she's 20 and I will make sure to protect her from a broken heart and anyone who tries to harm her in any way ............ oh and I don't think she likes you so don't wait for her to turn 20".

Interrupted Asuma as he protectively put Nanami behind him leaving Guy to cry a river at the loss of his youthful flower.

"My hero.Thanks Asu" Nanami said as she embraced Asuma in a tight hug causing Kurenai to giggle.

"Aww you two are the cutest siblings I've ever met".

"Thanks Kurenai,come here group hug"

Nanami then pulled Kurenai into the group hug that broke apart after a few seconds. Asuma soon started a conversation with Kurenai as Nanami searched for the boy she ran into yesterday wondering if he was here too. The boy was also searching for the mysterious girl who ran into him only to then help him to his feet. Both kids oblivious to the fact that they stood right next to each other continued their search for one another.
