My alarm woke me up and I groaned. I turned it off and looked at the time, it was 5 am.
When I tried to shift, I realized that Janet was laying on top of me. I eased her off of me slowly, and succeeded in not waking her.
Making my way to my restroom, the throbbing between my legs let me know that more than likely I had a limp going.
Even though I held my own very well last night, Janet still got her rounds in with me and now Carmen was going to know it.
I brushed my teeth and went and turned on my shower. Getting in, when the hot water hit my body, I couldn't help but moan out in delight.
My thoughts began to circulate. What in the hell was going on? Janet and I never had a conversation about anything.
Grabbing my washcloth I lathered it with my body wash. I scrubbed my body, and when I went to washing the soap off of my body, I felt arms wrap around my waist.
Smiling softly, I spoke. "Morning."
"Morning baby." She greeted back in her morning voice and I prayed that she didn't see the goosebumps that rose on my skin at her saying that.
"Did you sleep well?"
"I slept amazing. I'm pretty sure if your second alarm didn't go off, I would still be sleeping."
Chuckling, I turned in her arms. "Sorry, I forget I set so many. I'm just not a morning person sometimes."
"I was made to be one. So it's no biggie."
"How are you feeling?"
Janet shook her head as she broke eye contact with me. "I don't wanna talk about that right now Ky."
I placed my hand under her chin and tilted it back up. "Don't hold that in alright? Whenever you want to talk about it. Whenever you need to talk about it. You can always count on me to listen. Alright?"
"I know baby." She mumbled as she traced my collar bone. "Can I have another kiss?"
Rolling my eyes playfully, I connected our lips. It was easy for us to get carried away, and that's exactly what we did. I cupped Janet's ass as she began sucking on my neck. "Mm."
She guided me to the wall and when my back hit the cold surface, I snapped back to reality.
Pulling away, I spoke reluctantly. "J... I gotta go to work. Don't start nothing we can't finish."
She smirked at me. "Who said I was trying to start something? Maybe I just wanted my kisses. Shit, I'm already limping."
"Same. Hey, now that you know about Spongebob, you gotta put my Eissa on." I told her. "He can't grow up and not know about Spongebob."
Her eyes widened. "Oh shit. Eissa!"
I looked on in confusion as Janet practically leaped out the shower doing her best with the limp she had attached. Turning the water off, I followed in amusement. I wrapped a towel around my body and stepped into my bedroom to find Janet scrambling around.
"Woman. Slow down. Whats wrong?" I asked as I giggled at her trying to put her tights back on.
"I told Eissa I would be back before he got up this morning. Shit, I totally forgot. What time is it?"
My eyes found my clock hanging on the wall and I replied. "6."
"Can you please bring me home? Joey's probably knocked out."
"Yeah of course. Let me get dressed real quick." I replied as I walked into my closet. Grabbing jeans and a dress shirt, I threw on my bra and panties before putting my clothes on.
When I put the last strap on my heels and stood up, I noticed Janet at the door biting her lip. "Well don't you look amazingly beautiful."
"Thanks gorgeous."
"Ready?" She asked.
I realized I hadn't done my hair and quickly replied as I walked back into my restroom. "Let me pull my hair up real quick."
Taking a out my scrunchy, I combed through my curls and threw them in a knot at the top of my head. Shrugging it off, I exited my restroom and saw that Janet was still waiting for me.
"Okay. I'm set to go now."
She chuckled. "Well, lets go." We left my home and entered my car and the first thing Janet did was touch my interior. "This has to be customized."
"Doesn't make me any difference. A car is a car. Just materialistic things. Knowing my father, he probably did have it customized."
"Do you not talk to your mother or something?" She questioned as I began driving.
The question had caught me off guard. "Huh?"
"Your mother." Janet replied. "Do you not speak to her or something? You've never brought her up, ever. Only your father."
"Oh." I didn't really want to answer nor did I truly know how.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to make you upset or anything. I was just asking."
Shaking my head, I glanced at her for a second. "I'm not upset. Just didn't expect the question. My families complicated. I'll just put it like that. Can we talk though?"
"Yeah. What about?"
"Us." I answered shortly.
"What about us?"
"What are we doing? Like, is this just sex? I mean, I guess it's cool if it is. I just don't want to get my hopes up just to be let down. Did too much of that when I was growing up."
Janet grabbed my hand and entangled ours together as she sat them on her thigh. "You aren't getting your hopes up to be let down Kyrin. I'm in this, right next to you."
I smiled softly. "So we're talking? Dating? What?"
"As many things as we did to each other last night, I think we've long and bypassed the talking stage. Let's make this official, let me take you out."
"When?" I asked as I changed lanes seeing the exit to Janet's neighborhood coming up.
"Whenever you're free."
"Ok. Where are you thinking of going?" She didn't answer me and when I looked over at her, I saw that she was staring at me. "Janet..."
"Hm?"
"Why are you staring at me like that? That look makes me anxious." I broke eye contact to focus back on the road as I awaited her answer.
She chuckled. "Sorry, I can't help it. Oh, but I'm not telling you where we're going. Do you like being outside?"
"Depends." I replied. "I don't do woods. Period. No questions asked. Other than that, I like the outdoors. Never did me anything. You?"
"I'd rather be in my house, but I'd hang outside with you."
"Oh smooth. Real smooth." I mused as I rolled my eyes playfully. "So you don't do amusement parks?"
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw her shake her head. "Never been."
My eyes widened in shock. "Seriously? Oh I have to take you to a amusement park. So you've never rode a rollercoaster?"
"I've rode a Ferris Wheel at my brothers house. That's about it."
I looked over at her as I pulled into her driveway. "Well, I see where we are going for my picking of a date."
She chuckled. "Cool with me. What about you? What's your dream date?"
"I don't know, I've never been on a picnic. I've always wanted to do that, maybe when the suns setting, on a beach. Something cute and romantic with the little corny white people finger sandwiches."
Janet looked at me funnily before laughing. "Babe, 'white people sandwiches'? Seriously?"
I shrugged. "They are! What about you?"
"Everyone I've dated has always gone over the top, but I'd really like simple dates. Like to the movies or out to eat. Something intimate and small. Not all fancy all the time, ya know?"
Before I could say anything else, her front door opened and Eissa came running out.
"How early does he wake up?" I asked shocked that he was up at 6:30 in the morning.
"Early." Janet answered quickly as she tried to get out the car.
Eissa didn't stop by Janet though, he ran to my back door and opened it. I watched as he crawled inside and shut the door behind him. "I want to go to school with you, Butterfly."
I shook my head. "I don't know Bubba. Your mother isn't comfortable with that yet."
Janet looked over at me and sighed. "I don't see why not, I mean, you have him right?"
My eyes studied her face to see if she was serious are not. I found no sense of sarcasm or humor anywhere.
"Seriously mommy?" Eissa asked excitedly as he put his seatbelt on. "You let me go?"
She nodded. "Yeah, I'll let you go. If that's okay with Kyrin."
"You know it's not a problem, J."
"Well then, I don't see why not."
My face wore one of surprise as I asked. "Uh okay. What has gotten into you? Other than—."
"Kyrin!" Janet cut me off before I said it with a warning look.
"My bad." I chuckled as I looked back at Eissa who was paying attention to everything we said. "I forgot he was back there."
"Didn't you tell me to calm down and loosen up? Well, I trust you with him. So he can go." She replied as she smiled at me.
Smiling back, I replied. "Well then, Eissa looks like you're coming to school today."
He giggled. "I come to school everyday Butterfly. Momma just say I could."
Janet and I met eye contact and she sighed. "I'll come at lunch to get him. We can talk then, yeah?"
Nodding, I agreed. "Of course."
She got out the car and before I could drive off, a woman came practically leaping outside. "Uh uh Janet! Let me meet her! Please?"
Before Janet could make any moves the woman was already at my car door. Janet yelled. "Tiffany Varnecia Atkins!"
Chuckling, I got out the car and greeted the woman. "Hi."
The Tiffany woman smiled back. "Look Janet, she's nice! Hi, I'm Eissa's nanny and one of Janet's lifelong friend Tiffany. Nice to finally meet the woman whose had my girl smiling and glowing."
I looked over at Janet and smirked before I hid it. "Nice to note. Also, nice to meet you as well. I'm Kyrin."
"So you're Eissa's teacher?"
Janet needed to tell these people that Eissa wasn't enrolled in school anymore so I can stop lying to them.
Nodding, I covered for J again. "Yeah. I am."
"Wow. Okay. You're really pretty."
"Thanks. You're really pretty as well. Sorry I have to cut this a little short, I have to get to work. I'll be by Friday if you want to catch up some more."
Janet cut in. "No she won't."
Tiffany shot Janet a look and then asked me. "Kyrin are you going to be here?"
"Didn't I just say she isn't?" Janet's tone lifted as she raised a eyebrow.
"Okay, I'll be here Friday then." Tiff smiled phonily at Janet before looking at me. "Nice meeting you."
Tiffany walked back towards the house and I faced Janet again. "We are talking about getting Bubba back in school when you come today."
She nodded. "I'm open to that discussion, if you come with some good points. Don't bomb it."
Shaking my head, I laughed. "Oh. Never that. See you in a few." Getting in my car, I put my seatbelt on and looked back at Bubba who was looking at me. "What Bubba?"
He squinted. "Why you bring mommy here instead of Uncle Joey?"
"Joey was busy this morning." I quickly answered hoping to dead the conversation before it started.
"So she called you?"
My eyes widened as I nodded. "Yeah. Bubba, you ask a lot of questions. Let's get to school okay?"
He nodded and finally let it go as I turned around and put my car in gear. The drive to school was a short one considering Eissa and I singing most of the way there.
When we pulled into the parking lot and I parked I spoke to him as I turned the radio down. "Eissa, if you go with those kids, you need to let me know if they say or do anything. Am I understood?"
Eissa replied. "I will Butterfly."
He went to pull the door and I locked them. "Eissa, I'm not playing. I'm serious. Your mom is trusting me with you, so I need you to take me serious when I say this. Don't let anybody hit you, push you, or say anything mean. Okay?"
When I turned to look at him, he nodded as he wore a face of annoyance. "Yes Butterfly. I get it. I promise I'll tell you."
"Good. Now we can go."
