Gear 5... Probably?

"Are you... kidding me?" I sighed in exhaustion. There was concrete covering the entrance to the next floor. There was no way I was this deep underground. Did I get lost trying to find my way out of the flames?

I leaned my hands onto my knees and huffed. This is ridiculous! But I still want to live! I huffed twice as loud as before and held my fist above my head. "Concrete is nothing to you, (y/n)!" I pep talked myself and then squatted down. With that, I pushed off the floor with as much strength as I could. I punched through an insane number of foundation-type layers for the island before my fist punched through to a pocket of air. That's where my momentum ended. I grabbed onto the concrete with my outstretched hand, then pulled myself into said pocket of air. Seems to be an open area.

"Ah, the performance floor?" I thought aloud, taking in my surroundings. How lucky am I? Clearly not very lucky since I've been running away from the fire this whole time, but hey, let's not pay that any mind.

I flopped onto my back and groaned, releasing my devil fruit. That was the least graceful I've ever fought. I can't believe I took a nap afterwards. What if I never woke up again? No one would be able to find me in that room, that's for sure. Not to mention, I'd be dead next to a damn CP0 agent. No one would know I won. How embarrassing. What if I saw him at the gates of hell since we would have died around the same time.

It was around five minutes after I laid down that I noticed some heavy breathing nearby. Not from a deep sleep, but fatigue. Like someone just ran a marathon. "Anybody there?" I called out. Could it have been an enemy? Yea. I don't care. I'm delirious right now.

There was a second of heavy breathing before I heard, "Is that your voice, Princess?"

I laughed, though it did hurt to do so. "Yea! Is that you, Kid?" I asked.

"Damn right!" he yelled, which was punctuated by a fit of coughs. Seems like he's beat up.

"Weren't you fighting Big Mom with Law? Judging from the fact that you aren't being chased and blown up by the Yonko, I'd say you two won," I concluded.

A bit of shuffling came to the left of me, where I was hearing Kid's voice. I shifted my head to look at the guy. What I saw was actually Law instead of the redhead. "Yea, we threw her out of the island," he answered. He propped his upper body up against one of his raised knees.

I looked at the rock next to him instead of looking him in the eyes. I'm pretty sure that kiss was not something I made up. He kissed me almost fully on the lips last time I saw him. "Oh, that's great. Glad one monster is dead," I said.

His eyes stayed on me from what I could tell from the small amount of his face I could see. A little more shuffling happened in his direction, which turned out to be Kid sitting up. "You look like you been through worse than us somehow," the redhead laughed.

My eyebrow twitched. "Okay, you guys look like shit still. Don't give that to me," I said. Kid laughed at that too, then his eyes moved to gaze at the hole to the rooftop. He seemed somewhat concerned.

"If Kaido comes down, I don't think I'll have the ability to fight back," Law voiced.

"Have some faith," I hummed. "Plus, I could totally keep going."

Fighting could be heard all around us still. A few minutes of us just reclaiming our energy passed. They were soon interrupted by a rumbling from the rooftop. From what I could see from my position, a blast of fire came through the rooftop hole not too far from us. The sound of people scurrying around and fire spreading followed.

Kaido descended from the hole in his dragon form. He demanded for Momonosuke to be brought to him for a surrender to ensue. The old man Hyo and his gang asked where Luffy was. I opened my ears for that answer. "I'm sorry that it ended in such a boring way," the dragon man sighed. "Straw Hat Luffy died."

I could practically feel the devastation sweep over everyone around. Chopper's cries made their way to where I was. Law sat up again at that. "Straw Hat-ya's voice... is gone!" the captain observed.

"There's no way..." I struggled to say. I brought my hand up to hold my head. "There's seriously no way."

Law was saying something to me, but I could barely hear anything. The ringing in my head was so loud. It was the only thing keeping me from letting out any tears. I sat up and stared at my free hand. No way. No way. No. Way.

The ground was shaking now. I'm frozen, but shaking at the same time. Something was grabbing my shoulder. "ess-ya... Goddess-ya..! ...(Y/n)-ya! Get up! You've been there for far too long!" Law's voice finally cut through the ringing.

I looked up at him and a single tear involuntarily fell from my eye. He visibly flinched at that. "I... I don't want to be stuck like this but... How is Kaido down here...? Luffy isn't..." I took a few quick breaths to cover up the panic that was building up. Luffy is dead? He has to be lying.

"Even if he is dead, that doesn't mean you should follow on after him. We still have to fight our way out of here!" the tattooed man ordered.

I rubbed the tear away and slowly stood up. 'Even if he is dead?' There's no way he is. Luffy? The guy who defies nature? The guy who claimed he was going to save this place time and time again? No. I clenched my fists. He can't die.

As if the world heard my claims, immense conqueror's Haki exploded from the rooftop. It was almost overwhelming. It was everywhere. It was familiar. So familiar, yet so strange. I leaned on Law a bit and watched physical bolts of conqueror's Haki strike downwards from the rooftop.

It was then that all eyes turned to Kaido as a huge hand reached down from the hole and fully grabbed the dragon's body. This hand yanked Kaido out from the performance floor and disappeared with the dragon. Luffy is back. And now that I'm out of my 10 minutes of panic, I now see that Law and I are surrounded while Kid is fighting for his life.

~~~Timeskip...~~~(um almost every episode was Luffy's fight LOL)

I smashed a random pirate's head into the ground and stopped to gasp for air. I keep saying I'm out of gas and then I immediately start fighting again. What have I done wrong for karma to be coming back so hard?! Aren't my ribs still broken?! AND MY THROAT HURTS! IT HURTS TO BREATHE DAMNIT!

The island rumbled once again, and pieces of the roof started falling on us. I jumped out of the way and just so happened to land next to Kid. "Straw Hat's still alive..." he observed.

"So is Kaido," Law said in response. "The situation hasn't changed... Rather it's only gotten worse. The fire needs to be put out and-"

I lightly kicked Law's foot and stood up, "Stop being such a downer. Luffy's alive and now we don't have to deal with Kaido ourselves at the very least. We're not dead yet, so let's look on the bright side."

"Yea, didn't you say you were out of energy back there?" Kid said, directing his words to Law. "You're such a weakling."

"Oi! If anyone's being a wimp, it's you. You're the one who said your dream was impossible," Law bit back.

"Let's just agree that both of you suck," I shrugged. The two of them looked at me immediately. They didn't get a chance to respond because a couple of Kaido's men jumped out behind us and tried to attack. We dealt with them easily.

Another huge crash came from the rooftop, which was followed by something slamming another hole through the ceiling. That something was a huge head. It... looked like Luffy? He let out a ridiculous scream, followed by, "THAT HURT!" 

"EHHHH?!" on the performance floor shouted in union.

Luffy pulled his head out of the ceiling and once again disappeared from our sight. "What in the world..." I muttered in disbelief.

"What kind of form was that...?" Kid questioned.

"Was that really him?" Law added.

I hummed, "Only person it could be is him. Also, his voice is pretty recognizable."

The floor tilted to the side enough to throw a couple of people to the floor. "Boss Hyogoro! I heard that the island is going to fall!" one of the samurai yelled a while away from us. A couple of samurai crowded around the old man.

The group had a conversation about how if Luffy wins, the island will fall, killing everyone here. The samurai involved in said conversation were fine with dying as long as it meant Kaido was dead, judging from all the cheering for Luffy to fight with all he has. It's not surprising. Most of the people on our side came here with the expectation that they may die for this war. I wouldn't say we would die, though. Pretty sure Momo is on the job.

The holes in the ceiling began shining down a bright yellow light after they began their cheering. Now not just the samurai near us were cheering, but every one of them was. Not long after, a wave of water busted out of the castle beside us. It put out the fire and also washed everyone out of the building and onto the performance floor.

It seems like everything has to happen at once, because after everyone got washed up onto our floor, the island tilted sideways violently. Everyone struggled to stay on their feet before the floor was level again. I'm going to get motion sickness at this point.

The light coming from the rooftop got brighter. Everyone's attention turned towards the holes in the ceiling. "Straw Hat! If you lose you'll pay for it!" Kid shouted at the blinding light. Somehow, I'm still next to Law and Kid.

"Go! Straw Hat-ya!" Law yelled.

It almost sounded like thunder was cracking above us. We could get glimpses of what was going on through the holes now. Someone seemed to be moving the island. A huge fist and a red dragon were clashing above the island. The dragon was breaking apart to reveal that Kaido was inside it. The flashing light above us was gone. Kaido was flung down.

As if on cue, the island rumbled and, judging by the fact that we weren't falling, Momo set the island on a part of Wano.

"It's no mistake you-gara guys!" a familiar voice called through the speakers of the island. Sounds like Nekomamushi. "Kaido has been sunk into the ground by Luffy! Onigashima's plummet was stopped by Momonosuke-sama in his giant dragon form! ...It's been 20 years since that day... This vengeance filled battle that started when Oden-sama died... WE FINALLY WON!"

The entire battlefield was filled with cheers from our side. Honestly, I could barely believe it. This past hour has been an absolute roller coaster of emotions. First, I thought Luffy was dead, then he's not dead and he's got a crazy new look, then the island is gonna fall and kill us all, then we win not long after and we're all still alive.

"CAPTAINNNN!" I looked to the right of me. There's Bepo, running over to Law with tears in his eyes. He glomped his captain with Penguin and Shachi running up behind him. A couple others from his crew were following them. I don't know all their names.

I sat down just as a bunch of the Beast Pirates started attacking again. I really couldn't be bothered. I'm so tired. The adrenaline is gone. Yamato made it into the island in time to tell Kaido's crew to fuck off. While that was happening, I could hear Chopper panicking about all the people that have to be treated. Speaking of which, I'm one of those people.

"Ah... (y/n)...?" I looked up to see Penguin standing in front of me. "You look pretty beat up and ummm we were wondering if you'd like to be treated... by us? We're a crew of medics so..."

"And it looks like your doctor is very busy! We can help you out!" Shachi added, popping out from behind Penguin.

"We're very reliable as well," Penguin nodded.

I sweatdropped, "Thanks for the sales pitch. I'll gladly get treated. I'm a wreck and I'd rather not travel over to Chopper anyway."

The two of them cheered and pulled out their medical kits. While they diligently bandaged me, I looked over my shoulder to see Law getting treated by Bepo. I gave him a thumbs up. He huffed in amusement and turned the other way. I chuckled and took a look around me. I could see that Yamato was introducing himself to the crew. They looked to be as surprised as they should be, considering Yamato is Kaido's son.

I could also spot Chopper tending to Luffy, who Yamato brought, and Zoro, who was definitely on death's door after fighting with Kaido AND King. Meanwhile, a "light scroll" was set up while all of this was happening since the samurai recognized we were getting a transmittion from the capital.

When the snail turned on so we could see the live footage, it looked like Akazaya Nine were lined up in front of the people who were celebrating the Fire Festival. The samurai all moved to the side to make a path for someone walking through the smoke behind them. They all kneeled. I could guess who it was, but the shadow was mighty big.

"It has been... 20 years since my father Kozuki Oden died... I am glad that you have lived through these long, tough years! The Fire Festival will not end! Starting tomorrow, you can start whatever business you want! You can drink all you want, too! Clean water will be free! The factories will not be allowed to release poison that ruins the land! The Land of Wano is no place for slavery! You will not need to suffer anymore..." the voice of a grown man announced. Maybe it's... not Momo? "Orochi's tyranny... and the days of being threatened by Kaido are over! The dependable friends I made while at sea... With the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance, we raided Onigashima! Kaido, Orochi, and the Animal Kingdom Pirates... All the evils that threatened this country... We have punished them!"

The crowd roared loudly in excitement. The light scroll caught glimpses of them crying tears of joy at the news. The man continued with his speech, "We will never forget those who helped us accomplish the raid... Ever! ...The name my father gave me... means 'peerless'! If I lead this country, even the ruined land will turn into Xanadu! I need you to work and help me yo make iyt happen. Transcending 20 years of time... I am here to save you all! From now on... I, Kozuki Momonosuke, will rule the Land of Wano!" The smoke cleared and a tall man with long hair and a pink kimono was revealed. He had a black coat over his shoulders that had the Kozuki clan's symbol on it.

At this point, all of the Akazaya Nine were sobbing. There is no way that isn't the Momonosuke I know. The Wano samurai began cheering all around me. Is no one confused about how big he's gotten? I could understand the guys from Wano, but not my crew! I don't even see my group freaking out about it. What happened to him?!

"(y/n)... how did you get these burns? They look like chemical burns," Shachi asked, pulling me from my confusion.

I looked at the arm he was grabbing. "I was fighting a guy that had a devil fruit that basically deteriorated my devil fruit," I answered. "It's in my lungs too, for sure. He kept throwing the gas in my face. My ribs were broken so I had a hard time dodging and stuff."

Shachi's face drained of color before he ran to get something else from whatever medical supplies this crew just has on them. Penguin was still looking at me in shock. "How are you still alive?! And you were fighting not even five minutes ago?!" he shrieked.

I shrugged, "I had to tough it out. I've been thinking I was on the verge of death this entire time, too. Stupid CP0 member would not give up."

"CP0?! THEY'RE HERE?!" Shachi and Penguin said in union. Looks like Shachi's back.

"At the very least, that guy I fought is dead," I said.

Shachi waved his hands frantically, "WAIT WAIT! Stop speaking! Your internal injury situation might get worse!" He turned to Penguin, "Wrap her up! EVERYWHERE! WITH THIS STUFF!" He threw down a couple jars of something. Penguin picked them up in a hurry.

I scratched my cheek, "Now, hold on here-"

Penguin covered my mouth with medical wrapping. "I'm sorry, but there should be no more speaking!" he shouted. I deadpanned at him but held my arms up in surrender. He proceeded to wrap the rest of my head.

My eyes flicked back over to Law. He shrugged at me. I sighed. "NO SIGHING!" Shachi shouted. My eyebrow twitched.

If they're reacting like this, I can't imagine how Chopper would have reacted.

---Ummmmmm the end. Everything was literally happening at once in these episodes so it was kind of like a face paced end that. But I literally could not write this differently lollll(i only tried it just now but i will not change it cuz i said so)

Also??? I am currently obsessed with a certain airheads candy thing. I can't stop. I'm an addict.
