CP0 is Here?

14:53, 2 April 2023

Okay I put my writers block(of motivation) on hold I'm back for one chapter. I also STILL DONT HAVE ENOUGH EPISODES so let's chill on me ok babes?---

King was right, I probably should have paid more attention to the fight. The very sword I was analyzing was now being swung down on me at a rate at which I couldn't respond to fast enough. In my panic, I barely got my arms out in front of me in time to block. It pushed me back dramatically when the sword made contact. I could feel my forearms throb as I skidded backwards.

King took this time to push off the floor and fly in the direction of Zoro. Although there was a group that attempted to run away with his casted body, they didn't get far. King was in front of them in no time. I shook off the pain I was in and dashed over to the scene, but just as King was about to strike Zoro, someone else stopped it with a wall of blue flames.

"Marco!" A bunch of bystanders shouted in joy.

I stopped in my tracks and flopped back on the floor in relief. Due to my closeness to both Marco and King, I could hear what Marco began saying. "I've heard of them..." he started. "A long, long time ago on top of the red wall... dwelled a race of people who could ignite themselves. King the "Wildfire", huh? I didn't expect to meet a survivor of that race here."

My brows raised. "An extinct race..?" I muttered to myself. I've never heard of a race that could ignite themselves.

Queen stopped attacking Sanji to join King upon realizing that Marco joined the party. Just as he was about to attack the former Whitebeard Pirate, Marco surrendered. Queen made a noise of confusion as he continued to charge up his tail-beam thing. "I'm satisfied now! This is it for me!" Marco said with his hands up. "Here comes the star-yoi."

A beam shot out of Queen's tail. Marco didn't move an inch because Zoro jumped out from behind him and deflected the laser. The two "All-Stars" geared up to fight as soon as they registered that Zoro was back in the game. That was when both Zoro and Sanji went in for a hit on their respective opponents. I rolled out of the way since I was pretty much in the line of fire just sitting on the floor over here.

King and Queen fell to the ground on impact of the attacks while Sanji and Zoro landed on the floor calmly. Sanji looked at Zoro and grunted, "You didn't have to do that. Why don't you sleep forever?!"

"Huuuhhh? Isn't it too much for you to fight those two at once?" Zoro shot back.

"Huh?! No way! Whether there are two enemies or three, it doesn't matter to me!" Sanji shouted.

"Ehh? You can handle them, but you had that woman help you out?" the swordsman replied, one of his swords motioning to me. I'd moved to the side, where I was laying on some rubble. I have a two finger salute as a greeting and continued to watch their bickering.

Sanji took a glance at where his sword was pointing and grew more irritated. "Don't refer to (y/n)-swan like that, you damn marimo!" the blond yelled.

"Yea, yea. You go take a nap, I'll take care of these two," Zoro shrugged it off and looked back at the two All Stars. They were getting up now.

"HUUH?! You idiot! I guess while you were sleeping your naturally slow mind stopped working!" the cook insulted.

Zoro gave an ear to that, "What?!"

They made a few more witty remarks at each other, but they soon turned their attention to the men they'd previously knocked down. King and Queen recovered from the flashy attacks that'd been thrown at them, and they were now staring down our two top rankers in the crew.

"Hey, Twirly Brows... If we win this battle..." Zoro began.

Sanji grinned, "Yea, it'll give us a glimpse... of Luffy becoming the King of Pirates!"

I got my ass up after realizing that the fight was about to start. I don't really need to get hit by a stray bullet or something. That would be a pretty anticlimactic death. Before I fully left, I turned and looked at Zoro. "HEY!" I yelled for him. He'd just jumped back from blocking one of King's attacks. He looked at me. "His sword is meant for grabbing other blades! Watch out!"

He nodded, "Thanks! Now get out of the way!"

My eyebrow twitched, "THAT'S WHAT I'M DOING!" I turned and walked away. With a glance down to the group of people nearby, I could see that the old man and Kawamatsu were talking and looking at Zoro pretty intensely. I would join them to see what that's about if I wasn't one of the main fighters of the crew today.

I didn't get much further in my walk due to a loud crash. Multiple loud crashes, actually. Whatever was causing these crashes was shaking the entire building. Maybe the entire island. I held onto some rubble just as a dragon came flying through the middle of the room. Crashed through it and was actively crying as it kept going upwards.

"What?" I blurted out, my eyes wide as I stared at the scene.

My attention on the pink dragon shifted when I recognized that a person was clinging onto the hair around the dragon's head. Even if I could only see them for a few seconds before they disappeared through the hole in the ceiling, I knew who that was. Luffy was hanging onto its head for dear life as it flew. My captain didn't seem to be trying to fight it while it went on so I guess.... it's on our side?

"Maybe... it's Momo?" I muttered to myself. Momo is a pink dragon, but he was never that big. I have no clue who else it would be, though.

Another loud crash sounded off. Must have reached the roof. This was followed by Luffy's yelling and a bunch more shaking of the island. His loud voice somehow was still heard down in these lower levels. His explosive return seems to have riled up our side again. From his shouts, Momo's name was mentioned clearly. This got everyone to come to the same conclusion as me: Momo was the dragon we just saw.

Now that I pretty much had that worked out in my head, I took a look around me. Sanji and Zoro are both fighting their respective battles. I told Zoro about King's sword. Chopper's doing his own thing. I'm pretty much the only one sitting around.

Obviously, that isn't my style. I have to be almost dead by the end of an arc. These broken ribs are not enough to qualify. I've got to evolve like a super saiyan with near death experiences or else I'm not me.

"(y-y/n)! Where are you going?!" old baby Chopper asked right as I was about to leave his line of sight.

"I'm leaving, of course," I responded.

He shook his head as fast as he could in his little form. "N-no! I c-can't allow it! Not as a doctor!" he exclaimed.

I turned and began walking. "It's a good thing I'm not leaving then," I shrugged.

"BUT Y-YOU ARE!" he squeaked.

"It's your imagination," I hummed.

He panicked, "NO! YOU REALLY ARE! C-COME BACK!"

The nurse that had Chopper in her hands spoke up, "Chopper-sama, please don't exert yourself too much!"

"Yea, what she said. That old baby state that you're in is really messing with your eyes," I said right before I rounded a corner. I gave him eye contact just before I did. "I'll see you guys later. Love you, Chopper!"

"C-COME BAAACK!"

~~~
I propped myself against a wall. I made it into some downstairs room. There's still so many people walking around, trying to fight. It's so annoying and I'm getting tired. Where's my big turnaround fight? Where's my crazy strong person? How come Sanji and Zoro always get the cool guys?
"So many people on the ground..." I heard someone mutter in irritation. It sounded like it was from around a corner. There was only one pair of footsteps, so it was only one person. The feeling I got as they got closer to me was rather unsettling. I guess if you speak of the devil, he'll come. That's my strong opponent.
I simply waited for him to walk into view. My eyes widened as a man completely in white appeared. "Cipher Pol...?" I questioned.
"Correct," he replied from behind his white mask. "... or was no one supposed to know about that?"
"If you were trying to be less conspicuous, I'd suggest wearing something different," I replied, motioning to his white tux and overcoat.
"That's true," he nodded. "Or maybe not."
I ignored his weird way of speaking and hummed, "Is there a reason you are here?"
"There is. Probably. But I won't tell you, of course," he responded. "You are one of the targets, though. I guess telling you that won't matter since you'll be dead in a second."
"Oh? I'll be dead?" I questioned. "I don't see anyone here that could kill me."
He made a noise of discontent and followed it with, "You're annoying. I'm going to kill you now. Definitely."
I shrugged, "I think I'll actually be killing you, but let's agree to disagree." I stood up straight and pushed my hair out of my face. "What Cypher Pol are you a part of?"
The man reached up and grabbed the mask off his face, setting it to the side. "I am an elite member of CP0, even among the group. I'll be fighting you now. I think."
My arm shifted into a chain of blades, and I crouched down a bit to enter my fighting stance. "Nice to meet you, indecisive CP0 man. You know who I am. Let's get down to it," I replied.
He lunged at me first. His fist coated in haki and it aimed directly at my face. I slid to the side to avoid it and fell forward onto my hand to lift my legs up and kick him in the face. My foot went right through him. It didn't hit. "SHIT!" I blurted right as he grabbed my ankle and lifted me up quickly, slamming me onto the ground.
I grunted from the pain that caused my ribs, but I coated my other leg in haki and planted a kick onto his stomach to get him away from me. "You're a logia type, huh?" I muttered, wiping away any blood that seeped from my lips. When my foot went through his head, I didn't have time to process what his devil fruit looked like.
"I did eat a logia fruit. Maybe. But it was only recently, I can't say I know it well," he grumbled, almost to himself.
"What is with these CP members and eating devil fruits before fighting someone?" I questioned with a shake of my head.
He pointed to my foot, the one that previously was through his head. "Even if I'm not very familiar with the fruit, they were right about the effects it would have on you," he said.
I looked at where he was pointing. My foot had signs of rusting. It wasn't bad since he didn't have me for too long. "Well shit," I muttered. He lunged at me again while I was looking away. I jumped backwards to avoid him, but his arm shifted into some kind of mist and extended forward to grab my neck. He brought me to him and held me above the floor. The gas that made up his arm was burning my nose and the hand he had around my neck was hurting much more than the pressure he had on me should have allowed.
"This gas that I'm made of is some kind of rusting agent, which doubles as a toxic gas. While it is a downgrade of Caesar Clown's fruit, Vegapunk did well to create it. I think," he said.
I covered a hand and neck in haki before tearing his hand way from me. I used my grip on him to throw him into a wall before running around a corner. I need time to think. The gas was created to protect against metals, so swords and my devil fruit are out of the question. Does that mean I have to fight this guy with just my haki? I don't have enough fighting experience with just fist fights, though. I did study martial arts, but only in a way that I could use them with my devil fruit. And I have to fight him with just my body while he has some kind of power that makes him into a fucking mist?! Damnit, what if I just take the chance for a swift fight? I think that's the only-
"FUCK!" I shouted in pain when a kick struck my side, the very side that has broken ribs. I think they just got worse.
I flew into the wall I was running next to, creating a hole in it. "Our informants said you fight more head on. Maybe. I didn't expect you to run away. Do you perhaps know your situation now?" Gas man asked, walking over to me.
I covered my leg in haki and kicked his legs out from under him when he got close enough. He was about to catch himself from falling all the way down, but I pushed myself off the floor and delivered a haki covered fist to his face. He took it, but he also grabbed my wrist so he wouldn't move back on impact.
His fist shifted into the weird gas again. The haki was barely helping me out with the rust that was developing, but it was doing something. Okay, plan confirmed. Swift and at full power. I grabbed his face with my free hand and added heavy metals into my forearm. He didn't react in time to move away because I slammed his head to the floor. It went through the floorboards. I jumped away from him and tried to scrape off the rust on my ankles and wrist while he recovered. It wasn't working very well. This will not be good for me when I deactivate my fruit.
"You don't fight very elegantly. I think," the man said as he stood up straight and wiped the blood from his nose. "More barbaric than I expected."
"I don't know, I think I'm pretty lady-like," I replied. He scoffed. I smacked my fists together to pump myself up and then pointed at him. "Alright! Enough talking, dumbass. It's time for you to die."
He attempted to reply to that, but I wasn't kidding. Enough talking. I let out a long exhale and activated full body haki. He took this as a sign to get serious. He took out a knife with a black blade. Must be a specialty of his since he said he only just recently got that devil fruit of his. His knife got coated in haki just as he spung an attack on me.
The blade grazed my forehead. I barely dodged. He kicked off the wall beside me, going in for another attack. I ducked in time. My arm shifted into an axe and I brought it down on the leg that was passing by me. What? I'm fighting for my life here.
Sadly, the axe didn't cut all the way through, but it got pretty far in there. He rolled to a stop and hissed in pain. My turn.
I shifted the axe into a bladed chain again. His eyes widened as I whipped my arm back and used my arm's full range of motion to cut through the ceiling and hit him. He rolled to the side to avoid being split in two and reached his hand toward me. I thought he was going to extend it again using the gas, but instead, he turned his entire arm into a gas and shot a compressed stream of it in my direction. I thought I dodged it by jumping to the side, but it switched directions and fanned out in an unavoidable manner.
The substance hit the side of my face. It didn't smack me back from the force since it fanned out, but the gas blew in my nose, and therefore in my lungs. Isn't this... poisonous? Yea. It burns. It hurts. Both in my body and out. I pulled myself in the direction of the chain, which was still lodged in the ground. The man was still beside the chain, so I strong armed his neck on my flight over to it. Guess this doubled as an attack and an escape from his poisoning tactic.
He choked but recovered quickly by grabbing my arm with his other hand and rusting it as well. I gritted my teeth and headbutted him with all I had. His grip loosened and the arm that was previously filling the room with this toxic chemical had finally returned to normal. I shifted my arm into a chain again and started destroying walls and the ceiling to get some ventilation in here. There's no way this fight is ending by me being poisoned.
Right as I was about to stop my attempt at breathing, I got a knife right in the gut. It looks like my haki is about as strong as his with how far it could go in. He took the knife out and went for a slash at my neck next.
I retracted my chain arm and grabbed the blade before it could reach my neck. It cut my fingers a bit. His free hand punched me in the side. My broken rib having side. Again. I cursed as the force of it made me slide to the side a bit.
"Okay, maybe you're better than I expected," I grunted, spitting some blood on the floor.
"I thought there would be no more talking," he said.
My fists and legs filled with heavy metals and I sunk into a fighting pose. "Don't be a smart ass," I responded. He smirked and readied his stance as well. I placed some spikes onto my knuckles and my knees, along with the heel of my feet.
"I see you're ready," he stated simply. Then he attacked.
I dodged a few swipes of his knife, consequently taking a few sessions of rusting and a few good punches. Eventually, I was able to kick the knife out of his hand. I kneed him across the side when he was distracted from losing it, giving him a good stab with the spike in my knee. I followed this with a gut punch, sending him up to the ceiling. It knocked the air out of him.
He knew I'd go after his moment in the air because he immediately blew a shit ton of the gas onto me when I went after him. In the midist of my coughing spree, he grabbed his knife and sliced across my bicep.
Luckily, when he slashed me, I remembered a good ole trick I have. I just took it. I absorbed that annoying knife into my body. Now how's he going to get it? "I should have known you could do that," he muttered. "Maybe."
"Definitely," I confirmed. He gave me an annoyed look.
"I've had enough. It's time for me to get going," he said. I raised a brow. His arm extended forward absurdly fast, grabbing me by the neck. I tried to pry it away as it burned my skin away, but he picked me up and spun his entire body around to drag me across the floor AND the ceiling before slamming me into the floorboards.
I couldn't even curse. It hurt that bad. I'm hyperventilating right now. His hand was still on my neck. I used everything in me to crush the bones of his fingers and his wrist. His arm retracted as soon as I let go of it. As I was getting up from the crushed floorboards, he came running over and attempted to kick my head in.
Except he didn't do that. When I blinked, he wasn't above me. I moved to the side, and right as I did, he did exactly what I thought he did a second ago. What? He looked as confused as me when he foot landed on the ground beside me.
"Am I... psychic?" I grumbled to myself.
