Blue, Red, and Crackers
10:53, 24 August 2021Making up shit about characters I know damn near nothing about is... DIFFICULT to say the least. I barely even know how to make LUFFY seem like he has a crush. Let alone mfs I saw for 30 minutes max. Of course, I'm still gonna do it.... Tf I look like... a quitter? Never that.---
I rolled over onto my back, moving my arms up to act as pillows for my head. Luffy must have had an impact on me because there's something about random high places that make me comfortable now. Granted, I'm not going as far as to go onto the eye of the snail that's leading this ship like he probably would, but a change has definitely been made.
I was on the verge of dosing off as I watched the clouds move above me. I wonder what Nami would say about those clouds. Maybe she knows when they'll rain. "Jeez... when is Sanji gonna show up?" I mumbled to myself.
"Soon enough."
My soul almost left my body at the voice. I literally jumped to my feet to see who it was. Of course, it was just Reiju. I guess I'm not used to her voice yet because that really caught me by surprise. "Uh, yea thanks. Why're you up here though?" I asked, sitting down at the center of the tower.
"I came to talk with the woman who has caught the interest of both Big Mom and my father, of course," she replied.
"Hold on, when was your father interested in me? I was only told about big mom," I questioned.
She sat down on the square railing of the castle tower's roof before explaining, "Well, you are the daughter of two rightfully famous people. Your father sailed the seas with Roger and your mother escaped her Celestial family. It's only natural for his attention to be caught. My own attention is caught as well."
I shrugged and rested my chin in my hand, "That's nice of you to say but I'm probably going to be a disappointment to you, considering that I've led a relatively normal life until meeting Luffy."
Reiju smiled and crossed her legs over each other, "I'm sure being with that strange man is enough to make you plenty interesting."
"You know what? You're right. I'm weird enough now that I've met him," I sighed. Being around him has actually changed my life in either the worst of the best ways. It depends on the situation.
"How was my brother before he departed from your crew?" she hummed in curiosity, but not to invested in it. She's aloof, but to a point, almost. I don't know how to explain it.
Her question got another shrug out of me, "Honestly, I wasn't there when he was brought into the crew or even when he supposedly left it. But between those times, I'd say he's been treated pretty well, other than the abuse he has to face from Nami occasionally. I miss him, to be frank."
"I see," she responded, seeming like she was looking past me.
With the lack of enthusiasm in that response, I grew a bit irked. Then I raised a brow, "Judging from the circumstances and his lack of a last name when I first met him, it's pretty easy to tell that he doesn't really like you guys. So why're you even asking me of his well being?"
She stood up at that, not rushed or aggressively, just normally. I'm surprised she wasn't irritated by what I just assumed. "He's not fond of us, and for good reason. I'm sure you'll eventually find out that reason. I'd also suggest staying away from Yonji, he's taken a particular interest in you for whatever reason," she said before doing a backflip off of the tower. I almost stood up to see if she was alright, and then I remembered that she's literally poison pink and she isn't going to land on her head or something. I'll ignore that bit about Yonji for now, he's the least of my problems.
I'll admit that Sanji's siblings are mildly attractive, but I will not be drawn in by their comic book appeal, nor their physical appeal because... they're evil, I think. And besides, I am here for my- our blond cook, and that's it. Speaking of missing people, I wonder how Law and Zoro are doing. I hope Wano is cool, even if Kaido is ruling over it.
My eyes directed to where the snail ship was heading, seeing that we were passing through some of Big Mom's strange islands to get to what looked like a half built castle. There were people waiting at the sides of what looked like a missing piece of the building, waving around sticks like they were guiding something in. I was about to get really confused until this ship started heading toward that missing piece. I looked at the snail castle I was on and then the half built castle on the sea, then I looked around to see more snails coming towards the half castle ship. I connected the dots pretty quickly. I guess this is what they meant by a landless empire. They were really making a puzzle out of their royal castle with multiple ships. I wonder how thrilled Franky would be to see this. Germa 66 would probably drive that man crazy.
By the time my inner monologue was done, I had to stable myself when the snail ship I was on made impact with the almost complete floating castle. I jumped off my tower and onto the k complete courtyard of the palace and looked around, earning confused looks from the men that were directing this ship.
"She is no intruder, she is a guest," Reiju's voice met my ears again just as her high tech boots made their strange sound behind me. I turned around and she began speaking to me, "You're free to roam until either my brother shows up or one of Big Mom's offspring comes to pick you up."
"Thanks," I shortly replied
"(y/n)! Let me speak with you!" a certain green haired cyborg yelled for me before I started running. Once I was out of sight from Yonji, I took a minute to gaze out into the sea. The snails I saw earlier got closer, and I had to plant my feet again when they connected as well. Each of them had weird castle parts on them. I wonder if you can mix and match all the pieces.
I ran over to the edge of the huge palace and saw the giant snails tucked into their shells, which were all connected. Climbing down the edge of the ship, while fully ignoring the nearby Germa 66 workers, I successfully got onto the shells. Thus began my under-the-castle exploration.
~~~
After I almost got trapped under the castle with all of the sleeping snails, I decided to just go inside of the now complete building. Outer pieces still looked like they had yet to connect, but other than that, the puzzle was done.
"So you're the Celestial bastard child? I'm surprised. I suppose I should have looked at a wanted poster of you sooner before coming so I'd be more prepared for such a sexy woman. Maybe after Big Mom's done with you she can release you into our custody," an unfamiliar voice loudly said from behind me.
Judging from the "Celestial bastard child" bit, I'd say they're talking to me. I turned around to be met with two guys. One had red hair and the other had blue hair. Sparking Red and Dengeki Blue. "Yep," I shortly stated before continuing my walk down the long brick hallway. I'm not gonna entertain them with my fascination in Sora. Warrior of the Sea if they're gonna call me a bastard child and act like I'm an object of Big Mom right now. (We're gonna pretend they got there shortly and then had to leave before Sanji got back or that they got there before Sanji in this version idfk)
"Oi! I was talking to you!" one of them shouted. I turned around to stare at them plainly. The blue one started talking, and judging by his voice, he was the one to say both of the previous lines. "I called for you! Don't act like you're better than us! We're royalty! Act like it!"
I flung my body against the wall and threw and arm over my eyes as I gasped, "Oh nooo, I'm so sorry! Allow me to grovel~!" I did a mocking curtsy, which caused Dengeki to fly forward and try to kick me. In response, I just activated my devil fruit with a layer of haki and let him hit me. You bet your ass that his attack didn't indent my body. "Did my groveling not meet your needs?" I put a hand over my mouth in disbelief, as if I didn't disrespect him.
"You little wh-"
"That's enough, Niji. She's still wanted by the Big Mom family. I believe they're sending a man here now to escort her to Whole Cake Island," Sparking Red said, causing Blue to back up from me. Red looked at me through his weirdly shaped sunglasses and grunted, "Don't be so cocky with us, Silver. Know your place. It's a shame such an attractive woman is acting so distastefully."
I raised a brow, "You're acting like calling me a fucking bastard child isn't distasteful enough? This is why you guys sucked in Sora. Sanji is so much better than you guys."
He stared at me a bit and then replied with, "Well you are a bastard grandchild at least, aren't you? Nonetheless, if you really are released into our custody, I'd gladly fix your attitude."
I rolled my eyes, "At this rate I think I'd rather have Yonji than either of you."
Something about that ticked him off because his mouth opened really quick for more shit to spew out. Thankfully, Reiju showed up before any of it could be said. "A man from Big Mom's family is here to pick you up, (y/n). Let me guide you to the front lawn," she called to me from a few feet away.
"Oh I'll GLADLY let you guide me there," I chirped, smiling smugly at the two cyborg men and continuing on by. Franky is always my number one cyborg. When I got to her, I smiled, "So, who's here to pick me up?"
She led me down a hall as she answered, "He says his name is Cracker. He has purple hair and is fairly tall."
"Cracker...? What kinda name is that...?" I muttered to myself. Reiju expressed her amusement in my reaction by letting out a giggle. Her calm demeanor almost reminds me of Robin.
"It's a shame my father isn't here to see you before you go. I believe he had much to say to you," she thought aloud.
"Well I think its a great thing that I didn't have to meet him," I huffed. Her smile didn't fade at my comment. She's the most mellow of the siblings, for sure. "The only thing that's a shame is the fact that I wasn't able to meet Sanji before I left. That's literally the only reason I didn't make a fuss when coming." She didn't bother to respond, and instead continued to lead me.
I was eventually brought out into the front lawn where a really tall shirtless guy was. He didn't have a shirt on, but he for some reason had a cape over one of his shoulders? His hair style was pretty questionable too. A thick scar crossed over his right eye as well.
"I was told to come here in my actual body in order to greet you, (y/n)," the man said, looking at me not-so-fondly.
Whatever, not my problem. "Sounds good. Let's just get going," I motioned behind him where a path was laid out to get back to a ship, which I'm assuming is his.
He proceeded to walk off, not looking back at me. I went after him, looking up at how tall he was. "Why's the bottom two pieces of your hair have sparks at the ends of it? Do you have little sparkler sticks in there?" I asked as we continued into the island.
"Why do you reject your own blood?" he shot back.
I scratched my cheek, "What do you mean? I like my dad. He's just a little questionable right now. That really came out of nowhere, by the way. Absolutely foul topic to bring up after I mention your hairstyle."
He looked down towards me and sneered, "Your Celestial blood is what I'm speaking of."
My face twisted in distaste, "That? My grandparents didn't even give me a chance, they just threw me in Impel Down, so really, they're at fault here. Nonetheless, I guess I'm still considered part of the 'Celestial race' huh?"
We stopped once we got onto the ship and he stared down at me, "That's partially why Mama wants to meet you in the first place. Don't get out of line though, I'm not afraid of the punishment Mama may give me if I damage you, brat."
I waved a hand dismissively as I sat at the railing of the relatively large ship, "Alright, I'm not looking to fight in the first place. I was just asking why your hair was sparking. If you don't understand your character design, just say that."
"I do understand it. Firecrackers has crackers in it, and my devil fruit happens to have to do with crackers," he explained with a tone that sounded like he thought he was so smart.
I let out a laugh and waved my hand, "Good job. How old are you, by the way? I'd guess late 20s or early 30s."
"45," was his answer.
I nearly fell off the boat. "45?! What the fuck... do people just get really tall with age and not get wrinkles nowadays...?" I huffed in surprise.
He rubbed his chin with a kind of creepy grin on his face, completely satisfied with my reaction, "My physique is one of my most prized possessions. Nothing touches me."
"Wow... so are you a virgin?" I asked.
His grin dropped and he completely faced me, "Why would that be a question? Is something wrong with your head?"
"Why would something be wrong with my head? I'm asking the questions that need to be asked. Questions that everyone wants to know," I defended. I then leaned back and sighed, "I don't know any women that're as tall as you, though. If you aren't a virgin, that'd truly be a mystery."
"This must be what they meant by the worst generation," he grunted before walking off into the ship's cabin.
