-Thor Odinson: God of Thunder-

I fly up to the tallest building in my vision, landing on a small ledge. The sharp tip will help in conducting electricity. I take a quick glance at my other comrades. Clint being an extraordinary marksmen, the man of iron zipping through the air, and...Eve. May I call her Runa now? Her dream is a compelling argument to what Loki had suggested. But I can feel another emotion coursing through her veins about the whole matter. Is she in...no. There is no point in contemplating this at the moment. I have urgent business to attend to.

I lift my hammer and face it towards the sky, light blue hues being replaced with a heavy dark grey overcast. Small sparks of lightning comes off from my weapon, it resonating with the clouds above. Suddenly, a bolt takes down and connects with my outstretched hammer, charging it to the fullest. As soon as the shock is over, I aim it to the portal. I yell in the process, willing all of the energy to transfer itself. There is destruction of many Chitauri forces and the other colossal creatures sent from space. The bolt zig zags back up, going right where I wanted. I electrify as many drones and other creatures as possible. Keeping them at bay and grabbing onto a ledge to stay steady. Out of the corner of my eye, I can see a black blur coming around.

Before I know it, Eve zooms through the air, getting rid of any rivals that cross her path. Its as if time stops just for us to look at each other, giving a salute of sorts before she zips off back down to cover her perimeter.

The way she carries herself is so intriguing. Soon, I realize I am caught up in my thoughts, refocusing back to the portal.

My conscience was and still is attracted to Eve since I first laid eyes eyes on her. In my mind, I know that it is morally wrong. I am in a happy relationship with Jane.

But my heart says that it is right.

-Evelyn Watson...Runa...-

I'm pretty sure I've said this before, but I can't help myself.

I will never get tired of being able to fly.

My knives do my bidding, and every time I see an enemy they launch into its vitals.

"Stark, you got a fleet to the north of you. And Watson theres some strays coming up on your tail." Barton reports to me.

"Please, call me Eve."

"Wait a minute, the deaf woman is no longer deaf?" A smirk comes upon my lips.

"You didn't notice when I was talking to you? I'm not able to see your lips in that suit a yours."

"I probably noticed, there was just a huge monster that could have eaten me on my mind at the time...you know, general stress." I see the strays Barton was talking about in my peripheral vision. I turn around to face them, flying backwards in the process. My dagger comes to my dominant hand, a gun in the other. I aim with my left, shooting a few of them in the chest. I throw my other weapon, and it goes right into the last ones neck. Not completely what I was going for but it gets the job done. I flick my hand, it returning back to me. The small squad drops out of the air like flies. As I was about to turn around, a skyscraper meets my back, as I break a window pain, rolling onto the floor.

"You alright there Eve?" Clint sounds like hes trying to hold in laughter.

"Yup...I really should schedule some flying lessons."

"Why not with me kid? I, obviously, do a lot of that kind of stuff."

"Maybe later Tony. You could help Thor take down a squadron on 6th." Barton chimes in. He groans.

"Well, he could have at least invited me." Both Barton and I snicker. I sit up and rub the back of my head, scanning the seemingly empty room for civilians. Gradually, I stand and walk to the edge of the building, watching whats truly happening unfold.

The screams of ordinary people as they attempt to escape from the heat of the situation. I need to do something, but right now its like I'm frozen in place. Everything has slowed down around me...my gaze changes up to the sky, where the gate to a different dimension overflows with a never ending supply of aliens. If we can't find a way to close that...then whats the point to what we're doing here?

"No Eve, you can't think like this." I look left and right for any flying drones, in the distance there's a small group of them. Leading them up front is not the usual face I've witnessed.

"Just who I wanted to see." I jump off the edge, now in hot pursuit of their leader.

"Hey guys, I have eyes on Loki. Hes near the ground, west from 14th street."

"Capture him if you can agent. It'll take care of one thing."

"Roger that." I boost myself to go faster, not too much later realizing that I'm gaining on him.

"Give it up Loki. Tell me how to shut off the machine." He scoffs.

"And hello to you too. Quite friendly today, Are you delighted to see me?"

"Cut the crap." I clench my hand tightly around my blade.

"My, you really want to talk business." God, I can't take this anymore. I swing my dagger at him, my other hand firing warning shots. He deflects it with his scepter and shoots two of his own rays at point blank. One bounces off my knife when I block it, but the other grazes my upper arm and rips my suit. It burns immensely and makes me lose focus and drop, but I catch myself and shoot at him in anger. He escapes out of my range, that hit slowing me down.

"God...damn it." Sorely I descend to the ground, my arm now having a dull, throbbing ache. He got me good. I squint my eyes, Thor and the Captain fighting as a team. Their tactics make a good match. I smile, and mutter to myself.

"There is no rest for the weary."

----------------------------------------------------AN: Again, these scenes are all super mixed up, especially with the extra stuff I put in. Meh, whatever. This chapter was actually fun to write a lot. Also, to answer questions that some people might be thinking.

I don't know of theres a 14th street in Manhattan or not, its totally made up.

Eve is able to communicate with everyone on the comms even though she doesn't have one is because of her mind reading thing. Also Thor can do the exact same thing, except he doesn't mind read. Its kinda just...Asgardian powers. Ok? Ok. Happy reading!!
