3. Felix

12:57, 2 October 2024

Felix zips up his bag, smiling at the elder as he exits the room. As soon as the four boys had been introduced to the class, his eyes had never left him. The boy had never seen someone so beautiful, someone who looked sculpted from stone.

He was tall with shoulder length black hair. His skin was pale with a small mole under his left eye. His posture held confidence, and he moved with grace. He didn't seem to be real, almost a figment of Felix's imagination.

A soon as Hyunjin stood in front of the class, his eyes locked onto the boy. He was entranced by his sweet smile and the freckles that littered his face. He had been hoping, praying he would get to sit next to him.

The only thing he listened for was the boy's name. Hyunjin. It sounded beautiful, a direct representation of him. The younger's eyes followed his every movement and the only words he heard were "Hyunjin, you can got sit over there, next to Felix."

Felix's heart had fluttered when Hyunjin sat next to him, immediately striking a conversation with him. Throughout the whole lesson they had been whispering with each other, the elder cracking jokes that made the boy laugh.

He could barely take his eyes off him the entire lesson. His long blonde hair and sweet smile. The galaxy across his face complemented the stars in his eyes. All the teacher's words went through one ear and out the other.

Hyunjin talked to him, getting to know the younger as much as he could. He understood he wasn't supposed to have feelings or get involved with anyone, but just the boy's presence made him forget what he was supposed to do.

The younger stared at his bag absentmindedly, a small smile on his face. Could it be a crush? No way, they'd barely known each other for an hour. Did he even like him back? How could someone so perfect like him back?

A hand on his shoulder spooked the boy, causing him to jump back a little.

"You okay?" Jisung asked, bag slung over one shoulder. Seungmin and Jeongin soon appeared behind him.

"Yeah, just zoning out." The other replied, picking up his bag and heading out the door. The youngest quickly caught up, bumping his side.

"You sure?" He said teasingly. "I saw you getting along well with tall boy over there." He nodded to the new students ahead of them, Hyunjin easily visible being the tallest. Felix felt his cheeks heat up and looked at the ground.

"Hyunjin." He replied quietly. Jisung appeared on his other side, ducking his head down to face the blushing boy.

"Hmm?" The elder hummed questioningly. Felix lifted his head up.

"His name is Hyunjin." Seungmin suddenly appeared in front of him, walking backwards through the crowd.

"So, you're on a first name basis. Must be pretty serious." He smirked.

"Wha-what! No!" The boy denied, holding his hands in front of him and shaking them. "That's-no-never-"

"Come on, don't lie. We all saw how you were behaving in class!" The blonde looked between their smirking faces.

"What about you and that other guy, huh? You both seemed to have already met." He changed the subject quickly. Jisung rolled his eyes, and the smile left his face.

"He was the asshole I bumped into this morning." He grumbled. Seungmin and Jeongin laughed at his complaint. He pointed at the other two.

"You lucky pineapples get to sit with each other, so don't go laughing at me." His words just made them laugh more, Felix joining in too.

"PINEAPPLES!"

"Why pineapples!"

Jisung crossed his arms and huffed, embarrassed.

"Well, it was the only thing I could think of in the moment!" He declared, looking between his laughing friends, doubled over in the hallway. All the judging stares they got didn't matter as they laughed at each other.

The four soon arrived at their art class and they entered.

"Morning!" The teacher said cheerily. They bowed and walked to their table, dropping their bags and sitting down to wait for the rest of the class.

"Do you think the new kids will be in this class?" Jeongin questioned quietly. The others shrugged.

"I hope not." Jisung mumbled, slouched in his chair with his arms crossed. Just then, the door opened, and all their heads turned to the students coming in. The eldest groaned and buried his face in his hands, slinking down even more in his chair.

Felix turned, eyes widening when he saw the four new students walking through the door. They all looked scary and threatening, except for Hyunjin, who just looked sexy to the boy. He watched as they walked to the only empty seats and sat down.

As he was staring, the boy he was staring at looked up, locking eyes with Felix. He winked, a small action that made the younger blush profusely and whip around in his chair, hurriedly focusing his attention on the teacher.

The others at his table didn't notice, Jisung too busy complaining about the new four students being in their class, and the other two teasing him about it.

"Listen up students!" The teacher called across the room. She started writing on the white board, something about colour theory. Felix laid his head on the table, bored already. Art wasn't his strong suit, though he enjoyed drawing a little from time to time.

He looked over, seeing Seungmin staring at the teacher and listening to her every word, always the best in their friend group.

Jeongin sat there, twirling his pen between his fingers and staring up, entranced in counting how many tiles or patches of mold was on the ceiling, his usual activities.

His gaze moved to Jisung, who was leaning back in his chair, tipping his head to try and balance a pencil on his nose. Felix laughed at his antics, the sudden sound causing the boy to drop the item to the floor with a clatter, only making the younger laugh more.
