Chapter 39

01:40, 30 November 2021

We landed in Tony's living room and Steve and Bucky greeted us with smiles. I thought it was going to be weird around Bucky since we broke up, but it hasn't been. I guess in this universe we're just better off as friends.

"What's up guys?" I asked as I walked over to the kitchen and leaned against the counter.

"Tony called us here." Steve replied before taking a drink from his bottle of water.

"Oh, and congrats on the pregnancy." Bucky smiled as he nodded to my stomach.

"Thanks!" I smiled back. Honestly, I was really excited to be a mom.

"I still can't believe Loki's gonna be a dad." Steve chuckled.

"Yeah, but he's gonna be a great dad." Bucky nodded.

"Especially if he loves that kid as much as Alex." He added as he laughed. Loki rolled his eyes but I could see a hint of a smile on his beautiful lips.

"Good, you're back too." Tony suddenly said as he rushed up the stairs from his lab.

"What's up?" I asked, raising a brow.

"Uhh." He said as he stopped and eyed myself and Loki.

"Is that blood?" He asked as he cringed as the puddle of bloody water below Loki and I.

"The blood of a fallen Beast Man Primal." Loki nodded.

"Primal means God." I added with a smile.

"I...I knew that." Tony said with a quick nod. He definitely didn't know that.

"How'd you manage to get covered it blood??" Bucky chuckled.

"Blood!" Pepper suddenly yelled out. She stormed down the steps and her eyes went wide when she saw us.

"All over my kitchen floor???"

"Oops." I said as I looked down at the mess.

"Do you know how hard it is to get blood off of white flooring??" She asked as she crossed her arms in an angry mom fashion. All five of us opened our mouths to reply to her but she closed her eyes and waved us off.

"Don't answer that." She sighed.

"I gotta go get supplies to clean this up." She added as she walked towards the elevator door. I felt for her purse upstairs and brought it down through the floor and handed it to her with a wide smile. She sighed but couldn't hide her beautiful smile as she thanked me. She left the apartment and we all looked back to Tony.

"Anyway, what's up?" I asked Tony again.

"Bruce was up on the Hellicarrier doing some routine scanning of the planet for anything weird." Tony started off as he walked over to us.

"Right right." I nodded.

"And he said there was a spike of energy over the Atlantic ocean." Tony explained as he reached over and took Steve's water. Steve frowned as Tony chugged most of it down and then handed him back the bottle.

"What kind of energy?" Loki asked, appearing next to me.

"In English, please." Steve added. Tony looked over at Steve and Bucky and thought about his words before nodding.

"The same energy that we caught any time the other Loki had men come over here." Tony said.

"Wait." I asked as I stood up straight and crossed my arms.

"Are you suggesting more of his men showed up?" I asked.

"Not sure. We need to go investigate it. I want us on the chopper in 10." He nodded before turning on his heels and walking back down the steps to his lab. Tony liked to use the small chopper when it wasn't a really big missing or we only needed a few people to transport.

"Well, I'm already ready." Steve shrugged as he looked down to his uniform. Bucky was already in his as well and Loki and I just got back from a mission, meaning we were ready too.

Tony walked back up the stairs and his Iron Man suit formed on him as he walked past us and to the balcony. We joined him, walking out just as Happy was landing the small helicopter. He smiled at us and I returned it before climbing in the chipper after the others. Once we were all in, Tony closed the door and Happy took us in the air.

-----

It didn't take us long to get to the spot Bruce pinged the energy. Loki, Tony and I flew away from the chopper and around the surrounding area looking for any signs of why that energy spiked here. Steve and Bucky stayed back on the chopper reading the computers that were checking the current energy.

"Hey Al?" Steve asked over comms.

"Yeah?" I replied as I stopped flying and looked around the empty sky. I had put a nice amount of distance between myself and the others.

"Got a spike of energy heading straight for you. About a mile South." He informed me. I locked my eyes straight ahead of me, to the South, and narrowed them as I felt for other life forms. I wasn't able to feel the men from other universe's, meaning if I could feel something, it wasn't them.

"I'm getting nothing. I'll go meet our little visitor half way." I said before flying off.

"Be careful T.J." Tony warned.

"Always." I smiled to myself as I continued onward. The air around me suddenly became thick and electric as dark storm clouds flooded the sky. I furrowed my brows and stopped flying as I examined them. They stretched left and right farther than I could see and were incredibly thick.

"Alex, you okay??" Bucky asked.

"Yeah? Why?" I asked back as I inched closer to the clouds. They didn't look like normal storm clouds and I didn't see them roll in, it was like they just appeared here.

"You're right on top of the energy spike. What's there?" Steve asked me.

"Nothing. It's just a giant storm." I replied, shaking my head.

"I think...." I whispered. The clouds weren't moving like normal clouds, well, they weren't moving at all. They were just sitting there like a thick, spooky fog. I could feel the electricity inside of them, zapping other clouds and the water below us.

"A storm? Forecast says clear skies until later. I'm reading it now. Weather monitor clocks a storm but it'll take at least an hour to reach even you." Happy seemed confused by this.

"I dunno, Hap, I'm staring right at a storm." I shrugged. I noticed a dark shape within the clouds and narrowed my eyes as I leaned forward to get a better look.

"Don't go in there." Tony suddenly said over the comms. I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms as I smiled a little.

"I wasn't going to." I argued.

"T.J, honey, this is Papa Tony you're talking to. I know you were going to."

"Well, now I think I will just to spite you." I laughed a little as I uncrossed my arms and inches closer. I spotted the figure once again and furrowed my brows as an uneasy feeling washed over me.

"I thought we were past your rebellious teenage years." Tony sighed into the comms. I licked my lips and slowly flew into the thick clouds, the tense electrical air knocking the wind out of me.

"T.J?"

"A-lex?" My comms began to break up as Loki and Tony both tried to reach me. I spotted the figure to my right and pushed my hand out in an attempt to knock the clouds away from me to give me a better view. But the clouds didn't move.

"Okay..." I slowly said as I dropped my hand and flew further into the storm. A bolt of purplish blue lightening flashed next to me and hit the water below, causing it to explode and splash me. I realized I couldn't feel the electricity and when it was coming, meaning it wasn't from here and I couldn't control it.

"Alex!" A loud voice yelled out. I swiftly spun around and was greeted by Thor. He looked angrier than usual and maybe a little taller.

"Thor?" I asked as I furrowed my brows. I also noticed he didn't call me "Lady Alex" like he normally does.

"You're alive." He seemed surprised by this. I caught that he didn't say "you are" and instead combined the words as "you're" which isn't something he does. He was being very strange and I put myself on high alert.

"Why wouldn't I be?" I asked.

"Ale-x." Loki's static voice called through the comms again.

"I wasn't expecting you to be is all." Thor shrugged. This was starting to make me uncomfortable. Something was wrong with him. I clenched my jaw and nodded at his words as I crossed my arms.

"Right. Well we should head back. Tony and the others are waiting for us." I casually said as I nodded up back the way I came.

"Tony's alive too?" Thor asked, his brows raising in surprise.

"The whole gang is." I replied, nodding again. I thought maybe he hit his head or something happened on Asgard to wipe some of his memory.

"I see." Thor replied as he also crossed his arms.

"A-lex!" Loki's voice yelled over the comms. The yelling caused a harsh feedback sound and I winced from the loud noise in my ear.

"Are you okay?" Thor asked me, genuine concern in his eyes.

"Yeah, comms connection in here is pretty bad and Loki's been trying to reach me. It cau-"

"Loki?!" He harshly yelled as he tensed up and looked around us.

"Yeeaahh?" I replied.

"We need to go, now." Thor harshly said as he grabbed my arm. He gripped it pretty tightly and flew further South, away from the others and deeper into the storm.

"Thor, you're hurting me." I loudly said as I pulled away from him. He tightened his grip even tighter and it began to feel like my wrist was going to break. I exhaled hard as he flew faster through the never-ending clouds.

"Alex? Are you okay?" Loki's voice called out in my head.

"I'm fine. But Thor is here and he's being really weird." I replied as I furrowed my brows at the God. I began to phase myself through his hand to get away but nothing happened. My wrist stayed put in his tight grip. My eyes went wide when it finally hit me.

"Loki." I said as I stared at Thor.

"What?" Loki asked me.

"This isn't our Thor."

We broke through the thick clouds and I felt the tense feeling lift away as the fresh cool air hit us. I pulled my whole body back and Thor stopped flying as he looked back at me.

"We have to go, Alex." He harshly said.

"Who are you?" I harshly asked.

"Alex?" Tony asked me on the comms. I knew that since we were out of the storm he could pin my location and he and Loki would be here in minutes.

"I'm Thor." The God laughed.

"I can't phase through you. That means you aren't my Thor." I said as I tried to phase through him again.

"I'll explain once we're away from Loki." He said as he gripped me and pulled me close. I bent my arm so that it was close against my chest but he still wouldn't let go of me. I threw my feet up and quickly put them on his chest as I pulled backwards, but he still wouldn't let go. Damn these Gods and their strength.

"We're wasting time." Thor seemed more annoyed than anything right now.

"I know." I replied. Loki suddenly appeared next to us and he had Tony with him. The Billionaire let go of Loki's shoulder and his mask lifted up as he crossed his arms at Thor.

"Whatcha doing with T.J?" He asked him.

"Loki!" Thor yelled out. The dark clouds suddenly overtook the surrounding area and I lost sight of Loki and Tony.

"Alex!" Loki yelled out.

"How did he find you?" Thor whispered as he flew us away from the pair.

"This way!" I yelled out to the others. Thor suddenly put his hand over my mouth and held me against him, my back against his chest. He flew upwards and then stopped as he looked around. I spotted two figures flying past us and tried to yell out where we were, but Thor's giant hand muffled me.

"I didn't know Tony was working for that monster." Thor harshly whispered. I was starting to get tired of this game he was playing so I opened my free hand that sat at my side and felt the air around us. I could feel the actual storm Happy mentioned earlier. Thor managed to fly us close enough to it for me to control it. I quickly squeezed my hand and brought down a strike of lightening to us. It jolted Thor and he yelled out in pain as he released me. I was able to withstand the feeling.

"Here!" I yelled out as I threw my other hand out and sent another jolt through Thor. I knew for sure now that it wasn't our Thor because if it was, the lightening wouldn't have hurt him. Loki and Tony appeared at my side as the dark clouds caused by this Thor slowly faded away. Thor groaned as his limp body fell to the water. It hit with a splash and floated there as his eyes closed.

"He's passed out." Tony said as he flew down to the God. He grabbed one arm while Loki grabbed another and lifted the God up out of the water. I put my hand on Loki's shoulder and he took us straight to the helicopter. We dropped Thor inside and explained what happened as Happy booked it out of there.

We decided to bring Thor to the Hellicarrier and put him in the cage Loki was held in. He was still unconscious when we got there. We tossed him in and locked the door as Fury walked into the room. He already knew what was happening thanks to our implants.

"Report." Fury said as he put his hands behind his back.

"Not our Thor but not a Loki illusion." I explained.

"Proof?" Fury asked me.

"If he was our Thor I could have phased through him. The jolt that knocked him unconscious would have dropped the Loki illusion." I replied.

"Thor from another universe?" Tony asked as he crossed his arms. We all looked over at Loki and before we could even ask Loki nodded as he tore his eyes from Thor.

"He is. He's from the first universe to be taken over by the other Loki. This is the other Loki's true brother." Loki explained. He must have already been reading Thor's mind.

"That's why he was so scared of Loki." I pointed out as I nodded.

"How did he get here?" Fury asked us.

"I cannot see how. His memories are all over the place. He has been through a lot." Loki said as he looked back at Thor.

"We won't know until he wakes up then." I shrugged.

"Dibs on first shift!" I quickly said as I threw my hand up into the air. Tony furrowed his brows as he gripped his fist and looked down.

"Damnit." He sighed.

"Alright, let's go." Tony said as he patted Loki's shoulder. Loki tore his eyes from Thor and crossed his arms as he stared at Tony.

"I will stay." He replied.

"I don't think that's a good idea." Tony said as he shrugged his shoulders up to his ears.

"Yeah, Thor nearly broke my arm trying to get me away from you." I nodded in agreement.

"What if this does not hold him?" Loki asked as he looked between Tony and I. I could see the look of genuine fear in his eyes, he really believed this Thor would hurt someone.

"It held you." Fury half laughed.

"I am not as strong as Thor." Loki argued.

"I hate gonna give in to that ego feeding you like, but you are. Maybe even stronger. Thor uses brute power you use mind. He ain't gonna break his way outta here." Fury said as he knocked his knuckle against the thick glass. Loki sighed but ultimately agreed to leave me alone with Thor. The men left the room and I crossed my legs in the air as I floated up a little. I crossed my arms too and sat midair just watching the unconscious God.

"How did you get here." I whispered.

"And why?"
