Chapter 20

I snapped my attention to Captain Marvel and she clenched her jaw as she read the message over and over. I put the device back into my pocket and turned to leave but she grabbed my arm and stopped me.

"We need more info." She sternly said. 

"01212." She said, activating her devices in her head.

"33573." 

"Ding."

"Fury? What the hell is going on?" She harshly asked as she looked into my eyes, making sure Fury saw her as she spoke.

"Alex is chained up in a bed somewhere. She can't see where but some weird shit is happening." Fury's voice rang over the devices in our ears.

"Any other info?" Captain asked her.

"The leader and three other men are with her. Her vitals were going crazy, her breathing was shallow, her heart rate was high. She was scared." His voice sounded as concerned as I felt.

"But, then it stopped. She calmed down in a second. They didn't even say anything to her. She just calmed down. Her breathing turned rapid but it was more...I can't even explain it." He sighed.

"Try." I demanded as I gripped my fists at my sides.

"Her breathing was like she was excited." Fury explained.

"Like she felt lust instead of fear?" I asked him. The comms went silent and Fury sighed as Captain Marvel raised a brow.

"I guess so, yeah." Fury finally said.

"What else can you tell me about these people? Because yesterday Alex and I both experienced a lustful feeling randomly in the hallway. Neither of us could explain it but it was strong." I said.

"I felt it too." Captain Marvel added, crossing her arms.

"Let me look in the database." Fury said. I could hear the clicking of a mouse button and typing of keys. After a few minutes Fury's voice came back on the comms.

"Looks like they're a very sexual race of people. They use colors to emit pheromones. Says here blue is sadness, pink is goofy, yellow is happiness, red is anger, white is calmness and orange is-"

"Lust." I interrupted as my eyes went wide. 

"Yeah." Fury confirmed.

"There was a vase with orange flowers in the hallway when we stopped. It wasn't there today." I scoffed.

"Halten brought in orange flowers and set them by the bed Alex is being held in." Fury scoffed in disgust with me.

"I'm done talking about this." I harshly said as I turned and walked out of the room. I grabbed the first alien I saw and placed my hand against his forehead, making him remember the events of the past 2 days. He knew nothing about Alex and Halten, so I tossed his aside and continued down the hallway. I walked outside and grabbed another man, putting my hand against his forehead. Images of Alex being taken from the garden rushed to me. 

"You took her." I harshly said as I removed my hand and grabbed the man by the throat. Captain Marvel joined me but didn't bother trying to stop me.

"Where is she." Captain demanded to know. The man's eyes went wide as he stared between the two of us. He was terrified. I began squeezing his throat and he starting gasping for air and grabbing at my hand, begging me to stop.

"The location!" I shouted as I squeezed harder. His pale white face began to puff up and turn red as he cried. He barely managed to nod. I let him go and he gasped as he touched his bruising neck.

"T-two himeltons to the North!" He cried out. 

"What the hell does that mean?!" I yelled as I grabbed his throat again and lifted him to his feet.

"Miles." Captain Marvel shouted out as she flew into the air. I tossed the man aside and teleported myself two miles to the North, landing in an empty field.

"He lied!!" I screamed.

"No! I just heard you on Alex's comms. It was faint." Fury suddenly said. I had forgotten he was listening in.

"She's underground." I harshly said as I looked down to my feet. I teleported underground and straight into a bunker type room. I stormed towards a slightly ajar door and threw it open, tensing up at the scene inside. Alex laid on the bed, chains around her to keep her in place a cloth sitting next to her. They must have used it to keep her quiet.. She was fully clothed but in a trance like state, her eyes almost closed and her body completely relaxed. I spotted the dried blood on her wrists and felt sick as I clenched my fists. I noticed movement out of the corner of my eye and looked to the left. Halten and 3 other men stood together, one of them completely naked with an erection.

I wanted to slaughter them right then and there. But before I could even react, the room began to violently shake. Small rocks from the concrete ceiling above us fell and smashed against the hard floor. A loud explosion echoed behind me and Captain Marvel walked into the room. She had blasted her way inside.

"Oh my god." She gasped when she saw the scene in the room.

"L-Loki..." Alex moaned from the bed. I tore my attention from the aliens and over to the human. She had a soft, small smile on her beautiful face. The lust trance she was in made her completely oblivious to what was happening around her, which was for the best.

"P-Please don't kill us." Halten suddenly begged out. I snapped my eyes on him and threw a dagger at him, hitting him in the throat. He gagged as he grabbed the wound, trying to stop the bleeding.

"Loki!" Fury harshly yelled. He hated when we had to kill the enemy. He thinks it makes us look like savages. But how can I be the savage for killing him when they did this to Alex? I teleported over to Alex's side and lust quickly took over. I shook it off and blasted the flowers next to us, killing off the orange color that was causing these feelings. Alex's eyes closed and then shot open as she tried to sit up.

"It's alright." I quietly replied as I gently pushed her back down. The look of relief washed over her sacred eyes and she relaxed as she looked up at me. I sent her a small smile and snapped my fingers, making the chains and cuffs disappear. She slowly sat up and looked over to the corner, where the alien men stayed put. Her eyes fell to Halten on the ground and she watched as Captain Marvel attempted to save his life.

"Are you okay?" I asked her, pulling her attention back to me. She lightly nodded and touched her injured wrists. I placed my hands around her wrist and began healing the small cuts she had received.

"The Guardians are landing now. Get them tied up and take them outside to the castle. Quill will handle it from there." Fury said over the comms. I looked over at Captain Marvel and she nodded, telling me she could handle them. I gently picked Alex up bridal style and teleported to the castle stairs. The Guardians' ship landed just as we did.

"Hey Loki!" Star Lord called out as he jumped out of the ship and jogged over to us. He was closely followed by his merry band of misfits.

"She okay?" He asked as he examined Alex.

"I'm fine." Alex replied as she pushed her legs down, telling me she wanted to walk. I set her down but placed my arm around her upper back, holding her close to me. 

"Where are the, uh, what are they called again?" Star Lord asked as he looked to Gamora. The woman rolled her eyes and looked down at a device in her hands, reading from it.

"Obreanuians." She replied.

"Yeah, them. Where are they?" He asked as he looked back at me and pressed the side of his helmet, causing his mask to disappear.

"Here." Captain Marvel yelled out as she landed behind us. She dropped the 4 men, one of which was still naked, and crossed her arms.

"Gross." Star Lord cringed at the naked alien and shook his head as he looked over at Alex and I.

"We have all the evidence on record, I don't need anything else from you guys. If you wanna leave go ahead." He nodded. I inhaled to call on Heimdall to take us away from this disgusting planet, but Alex stopped me.

"What's going to happen to them?" She asked.

"I'm gonna take them into custody and deliver them to the Norva Corps." Star Lord replied as he put his hands on his hips.

"Wow! This place is amazing!" Drax suddenly shouted out as he walked around, staring up at the sky.

"Very beautiful." Mantis giggled as she followed him.

"Hey, guys! We're here for an arrest, not to look around. Back on the ship." Star Lord shouted to his crew members. Drax stopped walking and froze in place, thinking he was invisible. Mantis did the same but closed her eyes too.

"I am Groot!" Young Groot yelled out as he ran off the ship and towards the pond. He leaped into it and threw his arms up as he laughed. 

"No." Star Lord called out as he shook his head at the young boy. Rocket Raccoon followed in his friends footsteps and dove into the sparkling water, splashing us a little. Star Lord sighed and ignored them as he looked back at Alex.

"Anyway. Yeah, they'll be arrested." He said.

"Arrested?" Alex asked, her eyes going wide.

"Alex, they kidnapped and tried to rape you." I harshly replied. I could feel her feelings on this matter. She didn't want them to be arrested.

"Y-yeah but it was a misunderstanding." She replied, furrowing her brows.

"Really?" Star Lord asked her. She looked over at the human and sighed as she crossed her arms.

"Well, no, but they were desperate." She deflected.

"That is no excuse for what they did to you. They lied to us about having information on this new threat and lured women here to kidnap. If they needed help with introducing new DNA into their population they could have asked and we would have sent willing beings to help." Captain Marvel sternly replied.

"I know, I just...I get why they did it." Alex softly replied as she looked over to Halten and the others. The alien men looked away from the human, disgust covering their faces. It was clear the regretted what they did, but I couldn't help but wonder if they regretted it because of the act, or because they got caught?

"They were desperate. Just, remember that. How would you react if you thought your people's lives were coming to an end?" She asked as she looked at Captain Marvel, who crossed her arms as she furrowed her brows.

"I would take other precautions. No orgies, less sex, planning out the next step for pregnancies and ask for help from friendly races. Not kidnap someone and try to force myself on them." The older woman firmly replied. Alex sighed but nodded in agreement. She was torn between feeling sorry for the aliens and anger with them. 

"Alright. I'm gonna take them and get outta here." Star Lord said as he shuffled over to the aliens. 

"I'm heading to another planet in this galaxy so I won't be going back yet." Captain Marvel said as she uncrossed her arms and flew into the air. We watched as Star Lord and Gamora pushed the men into their ship and then called for their team. The others slowly shuffled on and then Star Lord closed the door. They waved a goodbye to us and just like that Alex and I were alone on the planet.

"So, since their leader has been arrested....what now?" She asked me as she looked out over the garden of the castle.

"After Quill turns them over, Nova Corps will send someone out here to deal with that." I shrugged. Alex nodded as her eyes fell to the pond.

"Are you sure you're okay?" I asked her, making my voice soft and easy towards her.

"Yeah." She smiled as she looked at me.

"Yeah." 

I wrapped my arms around her and called on Heimdall to take us back to Earth. We arrived an hour later but Alex asked me to take her to the pond we first visited when we met, rather than Tony's living room. We landed and I turned us invisible so no one spotted us out here. Alex walked over to the pond and held her hand out, palm upwards, and lightly moved her fingers, summoning small balls of water up.

"Feels good to have control again. I had already gotten so used to it I felt...empty on that planet. No control over the elements, no feelings from them." She explained as her dark brown eyes sparkled under the sunlight. She looked over at me and smiled as she dropped the water back into the pond.

"So, we haven't really had any private time to talk about what happened on Asgard and at Tony's place." She giggled a little as she walked over to me. I put my arm over her shoulder and pulled her into me, throwing my other arm around her in a hug.

"Do we have to?" I asked her as I rested my chin on the top of her head. I had strong feelings for the human, one might even call it love. I know I almost did. But I didn't want to ruin it by talking about it. I've seen my brother's relationship with his human and it always turns into a fight when she wants to talk about things. I'd rather just enjoy my moment with Alex instead of ruining it.

"I guess not." Her voice was muffled because she was pressed into my chest. Loud thunder suddenly echoed through the air and then a harsh downpour rained over us. I looked up to the sky and laughed, knowing it was my brothers doing. Alex squealed under the rain and took off towards a large group of trees, pulling me with her. She laughed as she ducked under the branches, avoiding the rain. It was raining so hard and fast already we were soaking wet.

"Thor's doing, I assume?" She laughed as she sat down in the grass and looked over over the pond. I sat next to her and she leaned into me, putting her head on my shoulder. She closed her eyes as the cool breeze brushed over us and through the trees. She inhaled and smiled, opening her eyes and admiring the land before us. I felt my heart flutter in my chest as I watched her. She was the single most amazing thing I had ever seen and I never wanted to lose her.

"Sorry to interrupt." Fury's voice sounded through my ears. Alex sat up and looked around before looking over at me and into my eyes.

"Fury??" She asked.

"Were you spying on us??" 

"No. You forgot to turn off your devices after the mission." He argued.

"You could have reminded us!" She scoffed but a small smile played on her lips. She found this amusing.

"Well excuse me!" Fury harshly replied to her.

"Anyways. I need you two to come up to my office. I have some news. Fury out." And with that his voice was gone and all we could hear was the rain hitting the Earth around us. Alex got up and walked out from under the tree, closing her eyes and looking up to the sky. I followed her and she took my hand as she smiled and looked over at me.

"Ready when you are."
