Chapter 19

16:54, 8 October 2021

"I'm sorry, what?" I laughed a little as I looked back at the alien.

"We only had 2 rooms available. I figured your leader wouldn't want to share a room with her...men, so we opted to give you two the one room." Halten smiled at the both of us.

"Bu-"

"I must be going. The baby is waiting." Halten smiled as he quickly walked away from us, leaving Loki and I. I walked into the room and Loki joined me, closing the door behind us.

"Is this some romcom bullshit?" I laughed as I looked over at Loki.

"It's weird." Loki furrowed his brows as he crossed his arms.

"The bed thing?" I asked, raising a brow.

"What? No?" He replied as he looked over at me and shook his head.

"What's weird then?" I asked, relaxing my face and crossing my arms too.

"I couldn't get a clear read on his mind. His thoughts...didn't feel right." He explained as he walked over to the window and looked outside. I looked around the room and noticed that it didn't seem as vibrant and bright as the outside world. The colors seemed dull and worn out.

"Well, he is an alien. Maybe his mind works differently than ours." I shrugged as I plopped down on the bed and stared up at the ceiling. It was also worn looking.

"Alien or not, all sentient beings have similar outputs. I can pick up their feelings, what they are thinking. But not with Halten. It's almost like he's trying his hardest to hide his feelings and thoughts. When he and the doctor were talking I caught a small....mistake in his feelings." Loki said as he looked over at me. I sat up and he began to slowly pace back and forth.

"Mistake?" I asked, raising my brow.

"He was giving off...vigorous amounts of happiness. It was sickening, honestly. Too much." Loki shuddered and I rolled my eyes at how dramatic he was but urged him to continue.

"But when that doctor began to ask about us, that happiness glitched. For a split second I thought I could feel....deception, evil." Loki said as he stopped in front of me.

"Do these guys have any abilities? Like mind abilities?" I asked as I looked up at Loki.

"I'm not sure, why?" He asked as he raised a brow.

"Well, I was listening in on the conversation between the doctor and Halten but....I was suddenly overcome with a tense...um...lust feeling." I awkwardly admitted as I looked down, away from Loki's beautiful eyes.

"I was too. It felt so strong I didn't think I could stop myself fro-" Loki cleared his throat as he sat down next to me.

"And then it just went away. Just like that." I snapped my fingers.

"For me too. Strange." Loki nodded.

"Maybe it's just the air, Loki." I laughed a little as I laid back on the bed and put my hands on my stomach.

"How?" Loki asked as he joined me.

"Well, these guys are very sexual. Maybe all that... I dunno, sexual experience vibes just filled the air around us." I shrugged as I looked over at Loki.

"I don't know." Loki sighed as he looked over at me. I smiled at him and exhaustion suddenly hit me like a truck. I yawned and rubbed my eyes as I faced the ceiling.

"But, we'll look more into it tomorrow." Loki chuckled. I suddenly remembered something he had said on Asgard and figured I should just bring it up now.

"Hey, so, on Asgard...I overheard you and Odin arguing. I don't know what it was about.-" I lied a little but he didn't need to know I really knew.

"But I heard you say that you weren't his kind. You meant Asgardian, right?" I asked, raising a brow. Loki sighed and nodded as he looked down to the floor.

"I am not from Asgard. My father found me as a baby. Left to die on the battlefield because I was small compared to other...beings on my world. I was the son of the King." He explained as he looked over at me. I could see the pain in his eyes. Pain from not being wanted by his own father.

"His name is Laufey. King of the Frost Giants. I didn't know about this until a few months before I...was tricked into attacking the city." He sighed again and shook his head as he furrowed his brows.

"Damn.." I softly said.

"Odin claimed me as his own, raised me as Loki Odinson. That is the name I accept. I am Asgardian but..." His words trailed off and I took his hand in mine.

"But sometimes you fell different. Like you don't belong." I finished for him. He looked over at me and raised a curious brow.

"I told you, I was adopted too. And then when my adoptive parents died in a car crash...I was given to my aunt. Custody and all that. I always felt out of place." I explained. My birth parents gave me up the day I was born, I never knew them. My adoptive parents adopted me when I was 10 and died when I was 12. My adoptive mom's aunt was granted custody of me when I was 13 and took me in. I always felt like the odd one out among her 4 kids.

"I've never met someone who truly understands me like you. Not just with this, but with everything." He softly said, a small smile appearing on his face.

"Same." I nodded.

"So, what all did you hear?" He asked as he crossed his arms. I didn't want to admit I knew Odin wanted me to stay there, it felt slimy letting him know I was eavesdropping.

"Not a lot. I walked up to the door just as you yelled that and then a guard called for me. He was asking me questions before he finally let me in to see you." I shrugged. That seemed to relax Loki and he nodded as he looked down to the floor. I covered my mouth as I yawned and he chuckled as he got up, pulling me with him.

"Which side do you want?" He asked, his bright green eyes staring down into mine.

"Th-, um, the right side." I whispered. Loki smiled and snapped his fingers. The world around me flashed and I went from standing in front of him to under the soft covers and on the right side of the bed. I sunk into the pillow and closed my eyes as he climbed into the bed next to me.

"Goodnight, Alex." Loki whispered as he pulled the cord on the lamp light. The room went dark and I quickly drifted asleep.

*The Next Day*

I opened my eyes and blinked a few times before realizing where I was. I yawned but felt something heavy on my chest. I quickly looked down and realized it was Loki's arm. I looked to my left and smiled as I watched the God peacefully sleeping. He was on his stomach, his hair in his face and his arm draped over me.

"Loookkiii." I softly sang as I nudged him off of me.

"Shut up, human." His sleepy, raspy voice growled as he pulled me closer to him and dug his head into the side of my arm. I felt the butterflies take flight once again and smiled widely as I looked down at him.

"Alex?" Halten called out as he lightly knocked on the door.

"Are you awake? I would like to take you on a tour of the garden." He added, knocking again.

"I am. Give me a second please." I loudly replied. Loki growled again and I pushed his arm off of me. I sat up and he immediately took my pillow and held it against him as he rolled over on his side, away from the door. I laughed to myself and got up from the bed. I adjusted my bun and clothes as I walked over to the door. I opened it and Halten smiled widely as he looked behind me to a sleeping Loki.

"Good night?" Halten asked as I walked out of the room, closing the door behind me.

"Very. Comfortable beds." I chuckled.

"Wonderful. Come." He motioned for me to follow him. We silently walked down the hall and out towards the entrance. Loki's suspicions sat in my mine, I was curious if he was right or not. If Halten was really hiding something from us.

"The garden is my favorite place in the world. I've imported flowers from every corner of the world here." Halten explained as we walked down the steps to towards the pond.

"They're beautiful. I've never seen anything like them before." I replied as I admired the beautiful flowers as we walked by them.

"A beauty that could be soon lost." Halten softly said as he stopped by a small blue flower. I gently touched a bright orange flower and let it's soft petals run over my skin.

"What do you mean?" I asked as that familiar lust feeling began to return. I inhaled and removed my fingers from the flower as I looked over at Halten.

"Nothing." He chuckled as he continued forward, away from the flowers. I curiously followed him to the pond and watched the small waves ripple over my reflection.

"Alex, Captain Marvel informed me of your abilities yesterday. Is it true you can control elements and things made from those elements?" He asked as he raised a brow.

"Yeah." I nodded as I looked over at him.

"Can you control the elements here? The water, air, land?" He asked as he put his hands behind his back. I was so focused on the excitement of this planet and the mission I didn't even take the time to see if I could still use my powers here. I looked over at the pond again and focused on the elements but I couldn't feel them. I couldn't feel the water, the air around me, the leaves, grass, trees.

"No. Your world seems to have different elements, elements I wasn't exposed to when I got my powers. I can't do anything." I answered honestly as I looked back at him. His curious brow lowered and a wide, almost evil looking smile appeared on his face.

"Good." He whispered. I was startled by the sudden attitude change but didn't have time to question him. I felt a harsh pain against the back of my head and then everything went black.

*Sometime Later*

I gasped as I opened my eyes and tried to jerk forward. I was pulled back by restraints around my wrists, waist, and ankles. I frantically looked around the small room, trying to figure out what happened.

"You're awake, wonderful." Halten chuckled as he walked over to the bed I was tied down to. The tight metal cuffs dug into my skin as I tried to pull away from the bed again.

"Don't hurt yourself, Alex. You can't get out." He sighed as he sat on the bed next to me.

"What the fuck is going on?!" I harshly asked. Halten placed the back of his hand on my stomach and slowly ran it down. I squirmed under his touch, trying to push him off of me. He chuckled and placed his other hand on my cheek.

"Get the fuck away from me." I snapped.

"I'm sorry it has to be like this, Alex. I truly am. But we need you and we knew you wouldn't have done it willing." He sighed again as he removed his hands and stood up from the bed.

"Done what?" I asked, pulling at my restraints again.

"Save our people." Halten smiled before leaving the room. I heard at least 3 different locks on the outside of the door and sighed as I relaxed my head back on the bed. I realized I was staring up into a giant ceiling mirror and used that to look around the bed, seeing spots I couldn't see before.

"Useless." I whispered as I sighed again. There was no way I could get out of these restraints without someone's help.

"Help..." I whispered again as I looked up at the mirror.

"97315." I whispred.

"Ding"

"Hey Fury." I awkwardly laughed as I moved my hands a little.

"I hope you got my alert." I sighed. The locks on the door began to undo and I tore my eyes from the mirror to see what was going on. The door opened and Halten and 3 other aliens, including the doctor from earlier, walked in. Halten had a vase of orange flowers in his hands and set it on the desk as he smiled at me.

"Why are you doing this?" I asked, making sure to get a good look at each man.

"Alex, my people are very sexual. We love the feel, the rush of having many men in-"

"Okay, I don't need to hear that." I cringed.

"My people are going to go extinct. We thought we could deal with it, we thought we had more time." Halten sighed as he sat on the edge of the bed and touched my leg. I tried to move it away but the restraints stopped me.

"Deal with what?" I asked him. The other men crowded around the bed and I clenched my jaw as they stared down at me.

"Over the years, our DNA has...become close to mixing. Years and years and years of orgies will do that. Accidental pregnancies, purpose pregnancies, things started to get a bit...mucky a few years back. We were running out of nonrelatives to have orgies with." Halten explained as he ran his fingers up my leg and to my waist. I pulled my body back and into the bed as much as I could but it was no use, I had no where to go.

"Last night...a baby boy was born. He closed the circle of our DNA. Everyone on our planet is related to one another in some way or another." He sighed as he moved his hand from my waist and put it in his lap with his other one.

"W-What?? How is that possible?" I asked as I furrowed my brows in confusion.

"I assume you didn't get to see our planet during your travels here?" He asked me.

"No." I replied as I looked over at the other men, making sure they hadn't moved.

"We are a small planet. I'm told we are smaller than your own moon. We have only two thousand people living here. Two thousand relatives." He said as he stood up from the bed and walked over to the flowers.

"Loki said you've been here for thousands of years. How is your DNA only just now mixing?" I asked as I remembered the short mission briefing Loki gave me on the way here.

"It mixed before. Long ago." Halten nodded as he brought the vase closer to the bed and set it on the floor near my head.

"And to fix it, we mated with aliens. Bringing fresh DNA into the mix." He added as he smiled down at me. My eyes went wide when it finally hit me. I began to pull at my restraints and felt the rusty cuffs cutting into my skin.

"You can't do this!!" I yelled out. Halten nodded to one of the men and they quickly tied a cloth over my mouth, silencing me. I screamed the best I could and threw my body around, desperately trying to break free. The sudden feeling of lust hit me again and I slowly calmed down as my breathing became rapid. I wanted nothing more than to have Loki take me. I couldn't understand why I felt like that. But every other thought was taken from me, every other feeling, gone.

*Loki's POV*

I walked out of the room and down the hall to find Captain Marvel speaking to one of the alien males. He shrugged and shook his head before walking away from her. She spotted me and motioned for me to follow her to her room, closing the door behind me.

"Have you seen Alex?" She asked me as she crossed her arms. I raised a brow and thought for a moment.

"Last thing I remember is Halten summoning her this morning. I was still in a light sleep." I nodded.

"I can't find either of them. I was supposed to meet Halten in his throne room this afternoon but he never showed." She sounded annoyed and slightly worried. I was never close with her so I wasn't sure if this was normal behavior or not.

"Have you picked up anything weird about Halten?" I asked her as I crossed my arms and leaned more on my left foot.

"A bit, but he's an alien. There's gonna be moments when we find him weird and he finds us weird." She shrugged.

"Something about him...I don't trust." I shook my head as I looked down to the floor. Alex and Halten both missing began to make me worry for her. I didn't think her life was in danger but something was seriously wrong. My pocket began to vibrate and both Captain Marvel and I retrieved the devices we had on us. My heart dropped into my stomach as I read the flashing message.

"Alex is in DANGER. FIND HER."
