Chapter XII~ Hurtful Words

This is what you're wearing (you made it out of cloth from survey corps clothing; you dyed it with berries):

Author's POV

It has now been 3 years since your death. Levi has been torn up about it, along with Erwin. Neither of them had been the same ever since they knew of your death. Sometimes when people walk by their rooms, you can hear faint cries or yelling and things being thrown. Yeah, it was pretty hard on them. You, on the other hand....

Your POV

"Yahoo!!!" You yelled as you used your 3DMG to swing from tree to tree while cutting the nape of a titan's neck. You were having so much fun, you didn't notice the people below watching you as you swung from tree to tree.

"W-wow. Who is that, Corporal?"

"Tch, no idea, but we're about to find out."

"Ya' know, you guys aren't really good at whispering!" You yelled to the people down below. That was when you had noticed what people you were talking to. "L-Levi. Erwin." You whispered to yourself as you lowered yourself on a tree branch.

"May we ask who you are? We can't see your face due to your hood that you're wearing!" Erwin shouted at me so I could hear him. I was about to hop down until I felt a slight vibration.

"Abberant." I said to myself. "Sorry! I would love to chat, but I have to go!" Right as I said that, I flew off, looking for the titan.

"Of course they're following me..." I complained.

As soon as I found the abberant, I noticed it was about to eat a member of the survey corps.

"Great." I sighed, "well, here I go!"

I did front flips into the air, landing on the titan.

"Nice to see ya' friend, ole buddy, ole pal!" I yelled at it while walking on its shoulder.

"What is she doing, Commander!? She's going to get herself killed!" I heard a very quite annoying voice yelled. I hopped off the Titan and walked towards the annoying girl.

"Listen, brat. I'm far more advanced than you, so just shut up and watch." She gulped as I said that. Erwin looked at me in surprise. I smirked at myself.

"Well, you can't be too advanced because that girl is about to be-" as soon as those words left Erwin's mouth, I was gone in a flash. I managed to kill the Titan, grab the soldier and make my way back in front of him before he even finished his sentence, "eaten. Holy cow, did you just-? But. How?"

I shrugged in response.

Suddenly I felt someone sniffing me.

'Oh, no. Mike. He knows what I smell like and will tell them who I am!' In panic mode, I grabbed Mike and was gone in a flash again. Mike, being startled held onto me for dear life. Poor Mike. I did feel bad for him, I just can't have them figuring out who I am.

Finally, after a long distance away from the survey corps, I set Mike down.

"So... You know?"

"Mhm."

"So..."

"WHAT THE FLIPPING HELL (Y/N)!? YOU KNOW HOW MUCH PEOPLE HAVE MISSED YOU!? WHY DIDN'T YOU GO BACK TO THE WALL!? DO YOU KNOW HOW WORRIED WE ALL WERE!? WE HAD TO HAVE A FUNERAL FOR YOU! BOTH ERWIN AND LEVI HAD A MELTDOWN! WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO YOU!?"

"Woah, woah. Calm down! You can't tell ANYONE that I'm alive."

"And why the hell not?"

"Because you love me and think of me as a little sister?"

"(Y/n), I do love you and think of you as a little sister, but why don't you want Levi or Erwin to know? They were so depressed when you left us. They wouldn't come out of their rooms for months. They really deserve to know you're alive."

"No, you don't understand. They thought of me as an object. An object to be won, a prize. I'm not. So I faked my death to escape it all."

"Well, they're gonna have to find out sometime so I suggest now be the best time."

"No. I can't! They'll treat me like an object again!"

"Not unless you don't tell them. I'm sure they'll listen if you confront them for treating you like that."

I sighed. "Fine. But don't leave my side until I say so."

"Um, okay. Sure. Now, which way is the survey corps? Hmm..." Mike sniffs the air. "Ah! This way!"

"Uh, Mike... We'll go faster if you hold onto me again."

"Oh, okay." He grabbed ahold on me and we flew back to the confused survey corps.

"Heh heh. Sorry everybody. I just had to speak with this young lady for a moment."

"Why? Do you know her?"

"Yeah, sorta. Are you going to remove your hood now?"

"Mmmmmm.... M-m" I said shaking my head, no.

"Don't be a scaredy cat! Show your face! They'll all be happy to see it! And surprised by how much you've improved!"

"Mike, who is it? Just tell us. We are tired of waiting." Levi said.

"Fine, fine. I'll remove my hood." I looked at the ground as I flipped my hood off my head. All they could see was my hair.

"Well? What's your face look like?" Erwin asked. I slowly made my face visible by sitting up slowly.

Levi and Erwin's POV

That's when time stopped. I found my lost love, (y/n).

Author's POV

All of the survey corps gasped. Levi and Erwin stood frozen. Mike smiled at you.

"See, I told you they would be surprised."

"(Y-y/n)? Is that-" Erwin started.

"Really you?" Levi finished.

You giggled that they finished each other's sandwiches, I-I mean... Sentences. (Sorry, had to!)

"Yeah, it's really me." They both ran to you and engulfed you into a hug.

"I've missed you so much (y/n)!"

"I've missed you more than him (y/n)!"

You stepped away from their hug a little pissed off. Mike looked at you with concern.

"Hey, um, guys? Don't act that way towards her. That's kinda the reason why she left in the first place."

They both looked at Mike in surprise then to you.

"Is it true, (y/n)? You left because of us?"

I tried to look away from them to not make eye contact and they both got the message that Mike was right. They almost immediately climbed back on their horses, angry, and trailed off without you.

"Are they mad at me?! Are you for real!? They're mad AT ME! Ha! Great! Ya know what?! Have a great freaking life, because I'm not coming back! I'm never coming back to that wretched place ever again! I hate you!" You yelled at Mike, then directed towards Levi and Erwin. They both stopped in their tracks when you said those hurtful words. You already regretted saying them. You didn't really mean it, but how could they be mad at you when THEY were the ones who drove you away in the first place!?

You started to cry, but left right before a single drop hit the earth. Erwin and Levi both knew that you were crying, because they too, were crying.

"(Y/n)! Wait!" Mike yelled after you.

Your POV

I flew through the trees, not caring where I was going just as long as I was away from them. I didn't see where I was going from the tears making my eyesight blurry causing me to crash into something. As I started to lift myself up off the ground, I looked up to what I had run in to.

Erwin's POV

She flew away and just as we were about to turn around and leave, we heard a screaming sound.

'Oh no. It couldn't be.' I got so angry at myself, that I had cause (y/n) to think it was her fault and now she could be majorly injured!'

Levi and Mike must've heard what I heard, because they started running towards the sound of a screaming girl as well.

As soon as we reached there, the sight was horrifying. (Y/n) was in the grasp of a 10 meter titan, most likely abbarent. Soon, the titan had put (y/n) in its mouth, about to chew, until Levi and I had had enough. We both launched into the air using our 3DMGs and headed straight for the titan.

"Levi, you help (y/n), I'll take care of this thing!"

Levi nodded in response. As soon as I dug my swords into its eyes, it opened its mouth, revealing a wounded (y/n). Suddenly memories came flooding back: I had promised that I would protect her from harm. I failed, again. Not only did this Titan harm her, but I did as well. I caused her to run away from us. I became more frustrated and decided to take out my anger on the titan by torturing it.

Levi's POV

I grabbed (y/n) from the titan's mouth and landed her on the ground beside me.

"It's okay, (y/n). You'll be okay." Actually, I didn't know if she'd be okay. Her wounds looked pretty severe. Only a miracle could help her. Once out of my thoughts, I noticed her eyes beginning to close. I gently grasped her cheeks and tried to keep her awake.

"(Y/n), stay awake. Just a little while longer, okay?" She hummed in response, telling me that she was trying.

"Erwin! Hurry it up! She's losing a lot of blood! We need to take her to the infirmary, NOW!" And right as I yelled 'NOW!', Erwin had ended torturing the pathetic titan and finally killed it. "Let's go!"

Authors note!!!

Ooooo~ another chapter!!! So, I think the next chapter will be one of the alternate endings, but I'm not positive. I really like this story, but I do wish, however, there was more romance between you and Erwin. I'll make the ending extra romance-y, okay? OKAY! Well, comment, vote, and follow!!!
