Pain
04:07, 5 August 2024Screams were what yelled into my mind, I fell to my knees as my legs became numb from the bloody murder screams Dolohov forced out of people like a sick game.
I squeezed my eyes shut. Gideon and Fabian Prewett, Molly Weasley's brothers. Muggles and opponents of Voldemort during the first war. The painful screams and pleads of his victims filled my mind, as if I was in a echoing cathedral.
The blood, their faces. I watched through Dolohovs eyes as he killed and tortured.
Azkaban, pain, pain....My mother....(Stop. Stop.)
I took a shaky breath and searched for the mission, the mission. Only the mission. (Only the mission.)
(Mione... Ron.) My mind calmed down slightly and I focused on that memory. •Mione, Ron, and Harry were sitting at a table in a subway cafe. Dolohov walked in and went straight to the counter. A fight broke out and stopped when Mione petrified Dolohov and he fell to the ground behind the counter.
"Lock the door. Get the lights." Shutters closed, lights went out except for the food display. "His name's Rowle. He was on the AstronomyTower the night Snape killed Dumbledore." Harry said.
Ron walked into Dolohovs view. "This is Dolohov." Harry walked into view. "I recognize him from the wanted posters."
"Dolohov?" Mione quickly walked around and looked. "Is that Livs father?"
"Yea." Ron scowled. "So, what are we going to do with you, ey?"•"Harry." I breathed and let go of his hand to hold myself up from falling to the floor. "You saw Harry there."
Dolohov bent down and grabbed my hand. "I need more than just Harry."
His memories came back. More pain and screams. All through his eyes as if I was the one doing it. Everything swarming in my mind as I searched his memories.
"You battled. Thorfinn Rowle was taken out first. You... You fought against Harry, Ron, and Hermione in a cafe... You were petrified, they left after taking your memories."
Dolohov squeezed my hand. "There has to be more!" He scowled and grabbed my throat to moves my eyes to his. "Look harder!"
"Get off her!" Draco pushed Dolohov off me then knelt in front of me. "Solace."
I looked up at him with dead eyes filled with silent tears. "I'm fine." Draco's eyes hardened as his eyes looked to my throat. "It's fine."
Draco looked at Dolohov as he stood up and blocked me from him. "Leave now." He growled.
Dolohov glared. "Lucius. Control your son."
Lucius stepped next to Draco, Draco looked at his father, Lucius looked at Dolohov. "You got your answer, you failed to capture the boy now leave."
Dolohov looked at all of us but I kept my gaze down. "Fine." He turned to black smoke and left.
Draco quickly came back to me. "Solace." He took my hand and happy memories filled my mind. "Let's go to the room."
I looked up at him, he looked at me sadly and blamed himself. "I'm fine, Draco. It's not your fault." I wiped my eyes and stood up.
"You're not fine." Draco scowled and turned to his parents. "I leave her side once and you both put her in danger."
Narcissa stepped closer. "Draco-."
"No." Draco scolded lightly, Narcissas mind saddened.
Lucius stepped forward. "Do not talk back to-."
"We are leaving." Draco said in a commanding voice.
Lucius scoffed. "You can't leave."
"If you need us we will be at the vacation home." Draco pulled me out of the room and up to our bedroom. "I'm sorry, Solace." He kissed my hand. "I should have stayed with you."
"It's fine."(I can't forget the memories. I can't. It's so much pain.)"I can't forget them Draco."
Draco stopped and turned to me. "Where's your blindfold?"
"Back there I think. I dont know. I...."(...)
"Come on."
Draco continued leading me to the bedroom. When we got there he sat me down on the couch while he took a suitcase and filled it with our necessities since our clothes from the short trip were still at the beach house since they are summer clothes.
When he was finished he took my hand and lead me to the room with the stone, but Narcissa was standing in front of hit.
"Mother."
"You can go." She said softly. "But escaping there won't stop them from coming if they need you."
"She needs to be out of this house. This is a prison and I will not keep her here." Narcissa nodded and stepped to Draco and gave him a kiss on the cheek before walking out of the room. "Come on."
Draco moved me to the rock and put our hands on it. "Draco." He looked at me. "Thank you." His eyes softened and his mind went from fury to calm. "I love you."
"I love you too." Our bodies flew up and through the portkey until we landed on the beach.
I smiled and looked at the sun. "I want to go to the water."
Draco kissed my forehead. "Go on. I'll go put the suitcase inside."
I nodded and started for the water, Draco watched me for a while then walked to the house.
(Everything is fine... Everything is fine...)I wrapped my arms around myself and just stared off into the ocean in front of me.
Something touched my hand and I flinched. "It's me." Draco said softly, his fingers intertwined with mine and my mind of horrid memories changed to Draco's memories. "I'm sorry, Angel. I should have been there with you."
"It's not your fault. As soon as I saw Dolohov I knew what was going to happen. I'm just a little shaken. It's alright.... Come on." I pulled him with me into the water until it reached our shins and closed my eyes. "Thank you for bringing me back here."
"I should have kept us here." Draco said sadly as his thumb rubbed circles in my hand. "How about you stay here while I go see what I can make for dinner."
"No." I opened my eyes and looked at him. "Stay with me. I don't want to think about what I saw and your memories are helping."
Draco nodded and kissed me lips. "How about we go get our swimwear on and go for a swim."
I smiled softly and nodded. "Alright. Can we stay in the water until it's dark?" Draco smiled slightly and nodded. "We'll have a late dinner."
"I'll cook tonight." Draco lead me inside. "I want you to relax."
I nodded. "Can we cook together? It helps me get my mind off of... Whatever is going on."
Draco nodded and kissed my hand. "Of course."
Draco and I went through the house and to our room where he changed to his swim trunks and I changed to a green bikini. Then we both went back out and into the water until only our shoulders were above the water.
Draco pulled my front to his front and wrapped his arms around me, I laid my head down on Draco's shoulder and looked at the sunset. My arms were wrapped around him and I felt so calm, so peaceful with Draco's warm embrace in the cool waters of the calm ocean.
"I love you, Draco."
Draco buried his face in my hair. "I love you too, Solace."
Tears pricked my eyes. "You don't understand how you make me feel... You have replaced my nightmares with dreams, my worries with happiness, and my fears with love.... Being with you makes every morning worth getting up for." The tears fell onto Draco's shoulder. "You don't understand, Draco. I've been so lost in my past. So lost. And I'm sure if you weren't here I wouldn't be part of this world anymore."
"Solace." Draco squeezed me tightly. "Don't even think about doing something like that."
My lips trembled. "Do you want to know why I don't like heights?... I'm afraid if I get high enough I'll jump. I'll chose death and that scares me."
"Solace." Draco leaned away and looked into my eyes with his sad ones. "How long have you been feeling like this?"
My tears fell faster. "I was stupid. I thought everything wasn't worth it anymore and I..."
Draco wiped away the tears. "Tell me." His eyes glazed.
"T-Tulips wasn't there anymore. I couldn't... I couldn't. So I went to a bridge... and I-."
Draco pulled me back into his shoulder. "Shhh. It's fine."
"I got scared so I didn't but I was so close. I was so close. And then-then I got the letter to Hogwarts... and I.."
"You're safe." I calmed down as he ran his fingers through my hair. "Promise me if you ever feel like that again you will tell me."
I sniffled. "I promise." Draco brought my legs to his waist and held me like a child. "I'm sorry. I'm not the strong girl you thought I was. Im broken, so broken."
"You are strong, Solace. Even through everything you still smile and act like everything is alright. You are stronger than you know."
I looked at the half sun in the horizon. "Thank you. Thank you, Draco."
"Thank you, Solace."
