Breakfast
04:07, 5 August 2024I think my Legilimency has started to show me peoples dreams, because I saw a few more memories or something that I couldn't find when I took a second look into his mind.
One memory was inside the Malfoy manor, Draco was looking at a boy with a messed up face who looked like Harry(?). Then there was one with Draco looking at a crowd of Death Eaters, Voldemort was standing with a grin in front of them. That memory was inside of Hogwarts.
That all happened when we were... *cough*So maybe having skin contact strengthens my abilities(?).
I'm not sure, I've only got through one of the old Legilimency books Snape got me for Christmas.
But if they are dreams and nightmares then I think it's because the Death Eater plan is making him nervous, letting them through the cabinet into Hogwarts, he told me. I guess he's creating nightmares from them, it would explain the second memory I saw but not the first.
Draco also told me that fixing the cabinet is taking longer than planned, it's more difficult than he thought. And with the Death Eater fear he chose to try and poison Dumbledore... He doesn't know how but he has a few thoughts. .
After our *cough* long shower, Draco and I got dressed in our robes and walked hand in hand to the Great Hall where hopefully breakfast or some food was still being served.
Which thankfully it was but not many students were still there.
When we sat down Draco immediately put pancakes on my plate while I put his breakfast foods on his plate, thanks to his thought I knew exactly what he wanted.
"You know it's hard to be a gentleman when you help as well." Draco scoffed.
I smiled. "Well I want to be a gentlewoman and plate your food." Draco gave a small smiled and brought all of the different toppings for pancakes to my plate. "Thank you."
Draco nodded and started on his food, I cut into mine and held a fork of it up to his mouth the same time he held a fork of sausage to my mouth.
I shook my head and lowered my fork. "I will not be the couple that feeds each other at the same time." I ate his fork,
"Thank Merlin." Draco smiled softly, I raised my fork and he ate it. "What's up with you and making breakfast into dessert?" He ate the chocolate drizzle pancake.
I shrugged. "I like sweets. That why I'm dating you." Draco huffed and rolled his eyes, I smiled. "I mean your a horrible person, Malfoy. Such a mean bully."
"That's right, Mudblood." Draco did his signature eyebrow raised.
I ate another bite of my dessert breakfast. "Did you want me to come with you today?"
Draco stared off into space. "I don't know." He poked his food.
I frowned and leaned my head on his shoulder, then brought another fork of dessert to his mouth.
Draco smiled softly at me and ate the delicious pancake, I smiled. "See, doesn't it make you happier?"
"Not as much as you do."
"Well you had enough of me this morning." Draco raised a brow at me, I blinked at what I just said. "Forget I said that, please."
Draco rolled his eyes with a smile. "I'll try my best." I leaned off his shoulder and continued to eat my breakfast. "Did you want to do anything this morning before class?"
I shrugged. "I think we should both study." I eyed him, Draco nodded and looked back to his food. "I don't mean to be bossy but you really need to focus on your grades. I don't want this to destroy your future even if you have but loads of money waiting for you."
"Where did you want to study?" Draco put down his fork with a bunch of food still on his plate.
I sighed and pulled his plate to me. "Either the library or your room." I cut his egg and brought it to his mouth. "Eat." Draco looked at the fork then at me, I raised a brow and he opened his mouth. "If we go to the library there will be no distractions." I cut another piece.
Draco smirked. "And if we go to the room?"
I eyed him. "I can't read your thoughts right now but if you are thinking what I think your thinking then no." Draco ate the next piece of food I fed him. "But if you do good studying then maybe."
Draco nodded. "You do know we don't have to right? I'm not using you, you can say no."
"I'm an independent woman, I can say no if I want." Draco smiled slightly, I ate a piece of pancake. "I can also hold off until you bring up your grades."
Draco rolled his eyes. "You can't blackmail me with that. I don't live off it."
I shrugged. "Fine. I'll ignore you then." Draco's eyes widened, I smirked. "How's that for blackmail?"
Draco huffed. "Fine. We will study in the library."
"Good." I poured more chocolate sauce on my pancakes. "I can feel your judge eyes." I looked at Draco.
He smiled softly. "Personally I would never do that." I rolled my eyes and ate more, someone the chocolate dripped on my chin. "Merlin." Draco took a napkin and wiped it off. "You're such a child." I shrugged and fed him some egg with a little sausage. ------
Draco and I were in the little nook of the library, my little nook. I was going over everything Draco is having trouble on in class. He's smart and can learn easy when he puts his mind to it, but right now his mind is being invaded by other stresses and thoughts.
It was almost lunch, we've been at this for hours and I was starting to need a break, I leaned back in my chair. "How about we stop for the day?"
Draco nodded. "Alright." He closed up the books and put them in a pile.
(I wish I could help in some way.) Draco stood up with the books, I stood up and gave him a smile, he gave a slight smile back.
My smile softened. "I hate seeing you like this."
Draco grabbed my hand. "Don't worry about it." He led me out of the nook.
I squeezed his hand. "I'm here for you, for anything... Alright?" Draco nodded, I brought his hand up and twisted his ring. "We are in this together."
Draco brought my hand up and kissed the ring. "I know. But some things I have to do myself." I frowned and nodded, Draco squeezed my hand. "I'm fine."
I scoffed. "Like we ever believe each other when we say that." I saw Hermione walking down the hall with Harry.
Draco squeezed my hand, I squeezed it back to signal I'm fine. I watched as Hermione saw Ron and Lavender being a obnoxious couple, obviously Ron hates it.
Then I saw Hermione turn and leave. (She probably feels horrible.)
"Why don't you go talk to her."
I sighed. "You know why."
"That wasn't a question."
"She probably doesn't want to talk to me." We walked passed, Harry eyeing me and glaring at Draco. "I wish Harry wasn't so... self-centered... Is that the word?"
Draco scoffed. "Finally opening your eyes, Solace?" I nudged him. "He's always been like that. The chosen one." He huffed.
I sighed. "I just meant he... He's treats his friends badly... He only cares about him and his options and if you don't believe him he shuts you out. When he didn't believe me I didn't shut him out, I just stayed quiet."
Draco rubbed his thumb on the back of my hand. "That's just who he is." I sighed. "Did you want to go talk to Granger?"
(She looks sad... I miss her.)"I guess, yea. She's untouchable since I made a deal with... You know."
Draco stopped me and gave me a kiss on the hand. "I'll be in the Great Hall waiting for you." I nodded, Draco walked towards the hall.
I turned the opposite way and tried to find Hermione. (Where did she go?)
I walked down a full corridor before I saw her about to turn a corner. "Hermione!" She stopped and looked around until she spotted me and walked to me hesitantly. I
(She doesn't want to talk to me... I ruined our friendship.) A frown took over my smile as I walked to her.
