"Everyone gather round." Slughorn called out and we walked to the front of the room, I turned off my burner and followed with Draco. "I've seen many attempts at this potion and all of them either failed or weren't to there potential except one. Now we have a new champion, Harry Potter." Everyone groaned. "So here we are, then, as promised." Harry walked up. "One vial of Felix Felicis. Congratulations." Slughorn handed Harry the potion. "Use it well." Slughorn started the clap and a few others joined in.

I nudged a zoned out Draco, he looked at me. "You're Draco Malfoy, you don't need to cheat and use a potion." I smiled softly. Draco smiled slightly for a second and straightened up when Slughorn dismissed class. "Draco." He looked at me. "I'll meet you in the Great Hall. I want to speak to Slughorn."

Draco nodded. "Alright."

Draco walked to the table to get his books then out the door with the rest of the students until Slughorn and I was the only one left in the room.

Slughorn turned to me. "Oh, Miss Solace. Did you need something?"

"Well... I was wondering if I could possibly take a second to smell the Amortentia? I smelt a little but... I just want to check if I was imagining or..."

"Sure, sure." Slughorn moved to the cauldron. "Come."

I walked closer and he opened it, immediately Draco's cologne and apples filled my senses. "Alright." He closed it. "Thank you."

Slughorn nodded. "I hope that satisfied your questions."

I nodded. "I think it gave me more." I chuckled slightly, Slughorn nodded. "I'll leave you to it then. Thank you."

"No worries. Have a wonderful day, Miss Solace." He walked back to his desk.

I went to my table, grabbed my books and headed out...(I like Draco Malfoy?)

I walked to the Great Hall in thought. (I know I don't hate him, never really have. He's close to me, really close. I feel comfortable around him but that might be because he comforted me when I needed someone...)(Maybe I do like him... but... I've never dated before... Did he smell me or did he smell someone else? Why do I care? We can't date now... Can we? Why do I care? I'm not lonely... But...)

(Ahhh! I don't know what to do!)I turned around and walked to the dungeons and to a person I always go to during internal mania.

I walked into his classroom without knocking and closed the door. "Must we start this again?" He sighed.

I sat down in a seat and leaned back in it. "You've had love problems before."

Snape raised a brow. "Excuse me?"

I sighed. "You know my past, and my present... I'm not one to have someone like me let alone me like someone."

Snape put his hands in his pockets. "And you think I am the person to come to for this?"

I stared at him. "I always come to you with this kind of thing."

Snape raised both brows. "When have you ever come to me with this topic?" I shrugged, he sighed. "I think this would be better suited with Miss Granger then your Professor, Miss Solace."

"She doesn't know me like you do. You've seen my memories and you know what secrets lie in my life right now."

Snape looked at me boredly. "I do but I am your Professor."

"Snape." I huffed. "I smelled Draco in the Amortentia." Snapes face didn't change, my brows furrowed. "And you aren't shocked because?"

"It's quite obvious."

"How?"

"Other than you two always being together and interrupting my class like some couple." He deadpanned.

I huffed. "We don't interrupt your class like a couple." Snape raised a brow, I frowned. "We are just close."

"Yes, close."

I huffed. "Can you just tell me what to do?" I leaned forward on my elbows. "I already know he likes me from his memories and we kind of had a conversation about it and I..." I put my head on the desk. "I don't know what to do."

"It all comes down to if you wish to date him." I looked back up. "If he likes you and you like him I see why not if that is what you wish."

"But what about our tasks. Our lives are falling apart right now."

"Wouldn't that be a reason to date?" Snape raised a brow. "To support each other and be there for one another?"

I looked to the desk and rested my chin on it. "Yea... But what if I mess it up and the our whole relationship is destroyed?" I looked back at him.

"That kind of thinking will not help."

I sat up. "So I should date him?"

Snape sighed. "It is not up to me Miss Solace. It is your choice, if you wish then you can."

I groaned and put my head back on the table. "Love never works for me."

"How would you know if you never tried?" I looked back up to him. "I can not chose for you, Miss Solace."

"Alright. Got it." I sighed and stood up. "Thank you for your help."

"Miss Solace?" I gave him my attention. "Never, ever, come to me for this type of advice, ever, again."

I smiled. "Who else would I go to?"

"I didn't give you that mirror back for nothing." I frowned, Snape eyed me. "You need to realize what thoughts came to you when you were with Bellatrix were manipulated."

"Yea, got it." I turned to the door. "Bye, Snape." I walked to it and out.

(... Do I want to date Draco?... He calms me, cares for me, treats me kindly... I like him, he likes me... I care for him... If I was an outside person I would think we were dating...)

I walked into the Great Hall but didn't see Draco, I sighed. "Great... He better not be with that cabinet."

I turned and walked towards the stairs to the seventh floor. (This can't happen all year. If this does he will lose his mind.)

I looked around as I neared the wall to the room and wished until the door appeared then walked in.

"Draco?" I called into the mess as I walked the path down to the cabinet.

"Solace?" Draco appeared. "What are you doing here?"

I sighed and walked to him. "You weren't in the Great Hall. I thought you'd be here so I decided to make sure you didn't overwhelm yourself."

"I'm fine. I need to work on the cabinet."

I nodded. "I know..."

(We are like Hermione and Ron... Friends who like each other...We practically act like we are dating like Snape said... We would be even closer and help each other the way others couldn't.)

"Solace?" I looked back to Draco. "You looked zoned out there." He chuckled slightly, I gave a quick smile. "Is everything alright?"

I nodded slowly. "I'm just thinking."

"About what?"

(Bloody hell...)I let out a breath. "I recognized a smell in the Amortentia in Slughorns class."

Draco's face fell. "Do you know who?" I nodded, he nodded and looked away. "Why are you telling me this?" He huffed.

"Because I don't know what to do..." I fiddled with my fingers. "I've known him for a long time. I've liked him but until now I didn't realize I liked him in that kind of way."

"Who?" Draco scowled. "Is it Diggory?" I shook my head. "Why would you talk to me about this when you know my feelings?"

I looked at him. "Draco... The Amortentia smelled like apples... and your cologne."

Draco's eyes widened. "What?"

I looked down at my fingers. "It's you." I mumbled.

"Solace...." Draco lifted my chin with his finger. "Are you telling the truth?"

"Yes... I mean you were there for me and still are. You care about me and I care for you. You are important to me-."

Draco leaned forward and pressed his lips to mine, his hand gently coming to caress my cheek.

His forehead stayed on mine as he broke the kiss. "Sorry, I should have asked."

"I've never had a boyfriend before."

Draco smiled. "Obviously." I rolled my eyes. "Will you? Be my girlfriend?"

"Only if you allow me to help you."

Draco leaned off me and scoffed. "You are as stubborn and annoying as ever." I smiled, he smiled softly. "I wouldn't be able to stop you from helping even if I tried."

I smiled. "Then I will gladly date you."

Draco brushed a strand of hair behind my ear. "Have I ever told you how gorgeous you are."

I blushed. "Shut up." Draco smiled, I huffed. "I've heard your thoughts of me for a while."

Draco rolled his eyes. "Of course you have." He looked at me softly. "You are amazing, Solace."

I smiled. "I know."

Draco huffed a laugh and took my hand. "Thank you."

I smiled softly. "Thank you for always being there for me. Even if I was just a mudblood." I linked our fingers together.

Draco looked down at our hands then back at me. "Thank you for liking me for me."
