Eletrical Storm

04:07, 5 August 2024

Its been two months, in the middle of three. The first try to become an Animagus failed and I'm on my second try.

Carrying a single Mandrake leaf in my mouth for an entire month is easy peasy...Until I woke up and it was on my pillow....

So on my second try I didn't really sleep a lot and when I did I prayed to some God and it worked... plus some muggle tape.

Now it is in the potion which is in a quiet dark place, waiting for an electrical storm to come for me to drink it.

And I've been waiting for quite a while...

Every sunrise and sundown I speak the incantation, 'Amato Animo Animato Animagus', with my wand tip to my heart. That's the only thing I can do until there is an electrical storm.

So hopefully nothing goes wrong with this attempt, I really want to finish this and fly to my friends to see how they are doing.

•I was sitting in the library, my back leaning on one of the arms of the leather chair and my legs hanging off the other.

A book, fictional, that was about the romantic adventures of a damsel in distress and her 'true love' who is a a narcissistic playboy who turned good for her.

A story that makes me roll my eyes but I'm tired of reading educational books.

I slammed the book shut and sat up straight in my seat. "I can't do this anymore." I stood up and put the book on the side table then walked out to where no one was.

Lupin and Tonks went on another mission, Sirius is upstairs I believe and that leaves me and...

I walked to the back room and saw Buckbeak sleeping. "Great. Just me." I mumbled and walked away quietly.

I walked to the living room and over to the fireplace that was warming the house. I sat down in front of it and grabbed the poking stick and moved the wood into the flames more.

"Blood-traitor." Kreacher walked into the room, I rolled my eyes. "If my mistress knew-."

"Kreacher." I looked to him. "If you don't wish to be around me you don't have to clean where I am."

Kreacher grumbled and continued without words that I could hear, I smiled and shook my head. (Poor Kreacher has to deal with all these blood-traitors and Werewolf's, half-bloods too.)

The fire heated up my front but along my neck and chest the cool piece of metal was more defined.

I sighed and reached in my shirt to pull out the necklace. "Why do I keep this on?"

I put this on because I was afraid Pansy would take it out of jealousy. Then I was scared that I would simply lose it but now I've been in this house for months and I still wear it.(Because it's rare. If it wasn't rare I wouldn't wear it.)

I put the necklace back under my shirt and laid down in front of the fire. (I can't wait till this Animagus process is complete.)

I sighed. (I need an electrical storm soon or else I'll make one.)

Kreacher looked at me as he came closer. "Blood-traitor." I smiled, Kreacher kept mumbling.

I rolled my eyes and sat up. "I leave you to your cleaning." I stood up and walked to the door. "Thank you Kreacher." I left the room and went to the kitchen instead. "What to do." I opened the fridge.

"Hungry?" Sirius walked in.

I looked out of the fridge. "No. Are you? I can make you something."

Sirius lifted a hand to stop me. "I'm fine." I nodded. "And you are bored again."

I huffed. "What? No, never." I smiled and closed the fridge. "I'm just tired of reading sappy love stories that I am surprised this place even has in its library."

Sirius smiled and took a seat at the table. "I do wish you could go out. I hate seeing you trying to release your boredom in a fridge."

I smiled and sat down. "You could teach me to apparate."

Sirius rolled his eyes. "I already let you become an Animagus. We can save apparition for when you turn 17."

"But that's only a couple of months away." Sirius smiled, I rolled my eyes. "Fine, be that way." I rested my head on my crossed arm which were on the table. "Have you spoken to Harry?"

Sirius shook his head. "Not since Umbridge came to power."

I huffed. "She probably has the school on lockdown and is personally checking the mail like it's a prison."

"Most likely." Sirius stood up. "How about a game of chess?"

I smiled. "You're on." I stood up and followed Sirius to the living room. "Muggle or Wizard?"

"You're choice." He opened the door to the room.

. . . We played for an hour then took a hot coco break, read a little then went back to it but this time we switched to Muggle chess since I chose Wizard chess first.

"Do you memorize my moves?" Sirius complained.

I smirked. "My Patronus is a parrot." Sirius rolled his eyes. "Or maybe your just to old to beat me."

Sirius gasped. "I'm not old."

I smiled. "And you didn't just lose again." I checked his King.

Sirius leaned back in his seat. "You know this game isn't fun if you win all of the time."

"Almost all.. You got some wins." I set the board back up. "You know if I knew how to play poker I would be a world champion or something. Make a living off of it."

"That would be cheating." Sirius leaned forward again to start a new game.

"They won't have proof, muggles don't know about my parrot sense." Sirius shook his head and moved first.

I took my bishop and saw the curtains over the window flash with light, Sirius and my eyes widened. "Is it?"

I stood up and ran to a window and saw lightning coming out of a lit cloud. "Shit."

I ran to the door, around to the stairs, up to my room where I shut the door and moved over to my trunk where I kept the potion.

I took out my wand and pointed it to my chest. "Amato Animo Animato Animagus."

I took out the potion and drank it, a fiery pain and an intense double heartbeat, just like the books said there would be.

The animal appeared in my mind and I focused on that image, a parrot full of color; orange, green, yellow...

I stumbled backwards onto my bed and took deep breaths until everything faded out.

----------------. . . ----------------I woke up with a major back ache, like someone was crushing my back bones if that was even possible since the only pack bone is my spine.

(It didn't work did it?) I sighed and lifted my hands, my eyes widened.

My fingertips were black along with my talon-like, thick black nails. A couple more black smears were permanently on my skin as they trailed up my arm.

"Shit." I sat up but something pulled me back down, my eyes widened and I looked to the side to see a bed full of feathers.

I looked back to the ceiling and blinked as if what I just saw was my imagination. (Ok, not bad. It's fine, it's not bad. Just a slight mutation.)

I touched my face and thankfully didn't feel anything wrong, I wiggled my toes and felt the wave of five, short, toes on each feet that were still inside my slippers.

"Let's try this again." I cleared my throat and pulled myself off the bed with the weight of the feathers behind me. "I'm fine. Just a slight mutation. Not even a bad one, I'm fine with it."

I stood up and but the weight made me stumble. (It's fine. All good.)

I walked over to the mirror and a mix of a huge smile of happiness and worry set in. "Oh, my god." I looked in the mirror then at my hands. "Ok, so my hands are... fine, long fingernail... or talons I can work with. Adaptable."

I looked back to the mirror and lifted my shirt and saw nothing, I took off my slippers and saw nothing, my pants I saw nothing except the black smears that are also on my arm.

I lifted my hair to look around my neck and saw nothing except a glimmer of rainbow, like glitter. "This is so not my color." I dropped my hair and looked back at the feathers that are shown in the mirror. "Damn."

I smiled and turned to look at my back in the mirror. (This would be badass if I wasn't a macaw parrot.)

"Olivia?" My eyes widened. "Did it work?"

"Sort of." I walked to the door and made sure it didn't open.

"What do you mean sort of?" Sirius asked worriedly.

"Something amazing happened."

"Olivia open this door." He ordered nervously.

"Only if you promise not to freak out." My wings spread out and knocked over a lamp. "Shit."

"Olivia open the door. Now." Sirius ordered sternly.

"Alright. Alright. It isn't bad so don't have a heart attack." I opened the door slightly. "The worst thing are my hands." I let the door open, Sirius looked at me and his eyes widened, I smiled. "Surprise!"

"Oh, Olivia." Sirius sighed.

"Are you kidding?" I scoffed. "Do you realize how amazing this is?" I opened my arms as like a puppet my wings opened up to, I chuckled, Sirius smiled. "If anything you should be jealous."

"It's wonderful Olivia but we need to know how far this mutation goes."

"Other then my hands and wings I see no huge changes." I shrugged and my wings opened again, I chuckled. "I might have to learn to use them though."

Sirius eyed them and then all over me. "I'm glad you are happy but what if this mutation effected something inside?"

I raised a brow. "If I ever chose to have a child and they come out as eggs then I'll love them just the same. I'll make a nest and everything."

Sirius shook his head with a smiled. "Of course you see nothing negative about this."

I shrugged, wings flares, Sirius and I smiled. "I guess I can't go see my friends."

"Definitely not." Sirius sighed and looked over me. "Let's just hope Lupin doesn't take this the wrong way." I rolled my eyes.
