Warning Friends
04:07, 5 August 2024When you put your trust in someone you never take into effect of the dangerous person they are going against. And you especially never expect that dangerous person to kill their own blood, let alone their own father, but he did.
Bartimus Crouch senior was found in the woods, dead, by none other than Harry while the trio was on a walk with Hagrid.
I gave Barty a month and now he is dead, his parental feelings got in the way, now I need to tell Dumbledore. I am not trying to be rude and look passed the fact someone died but at this moment I am more focused on the threat against Harry who is still alive.
I walked up to the Griffin statue that leads to Dumbledores office. "Sherbet Lemon."
The statue moved to reveal stairs, I stepped on and it took me up. As soon as the statue lifted up enough to see the doorway I wanted to back away, Moody stood on the other side.
He looked at me. "Miss Kimberly."
"Alabaster." I greeted.
Moody turned fully to me and leaned on his staff. "What are you doing up here at this time when you should be in your common room?"
"Obviously to talk with Dumbledore. Must you always interfere with my personal life crisis?" I chuckled. "I need to talk to him about my financial instability for next semester."
Moody eyed me. "Professor Dumbledore is speaking with Harry at the moment." I nodded. (Hopefully he is telling him.)"Would you like me to deliver a message?"
I shrugged. "Well. I guess I can talk to him later. All you can do is not fail me in class and I will be eternally grateful." I smiled.
"Well that all depends on your class work now doesn't it."
"Well I know I am doing well so as long as you grade fairly I guess I will pass." I smiled and waved. "Bye. See you tomorrow, Alabaster."
Moody nodded once. "Night, Miss Kimberly." He looked me up and down as if he was trying to find hidden features in me.
I raised a brow. "Right, bye." His tongue flicked and he went to grab his flask, I turned and headed back down the stairs.
(Why was he eyeing me like that. It wasn't skeptical like he was trying to see if I knew the truth. It was more of a... comparing, as if he was... I dont know. I know he doesn't suspect me but something is making him eye me strangely.)
"Liv!" I raised my head and saw Cedric walking to me. "You are supposed to be in your common room."
I smiled. "Sir, yes, sir." I saluted, he rolled his eyes. "What's it like being a Prefect and catching your bestie out wandering at night?"
"Horrible. I'm going to have to take you in to Snape for your misconduct."
I gasped playfully. "No, I will most certainly die by his rod."
Cedric smiled. "What are you doing out at this time?" He walked me down the hall.
"I went to speak with Dumbledore but Harry beat me to it." I stopped and grabbed his arm to spin him to me. "Cedric. What would you do if I told you not to win the Triwizard Tournament?"
Cedric chuckled. "I would think you were switching to Harry's side." I frowned, Cedric frowned. "Why?" I looked around and pulled him into an empty class room. "Liv?"
"You need to listen." Cedric nodded. "Alabaster is Barty Crouch Jr. He is the one who put Harry's name in the Goblet and for some reason he is trying to get Harry to win."
Cedric's brows furrowed. "Barty Jr is in Azkaban."
I shook my head. "Apparently he escaped, that flask he uses all the time has Polyjuice Potion in it." Cedric looked away in thought. "Mr. Crouch knew and now he is dead. Harry is telling Dumbledore now but I need you to be careful. Barty Jr is trying to get Harry to win, the end might be a trap. I don't want you getting caught up in this or hurt, please believe me."
Cedric looked at me and nodded. "I believe you. But this Tournament..."
I sighed. "I know. Eternal Glory, I know but if you get hurt..."
Cedric smiled softly. "I'll be careful." I nodded. "How about we get you to your common room before a less kind Prefect sees you."
I rolled my eyes. "As if they would mess with a Slytherin. Plus Snape is on my side."
Cedric chuckled under his breath. "Yes, I could tell by how you two dances at the Yule Ball."
I pushed him lightly. "You all need to realize that he isn't as bad as you think." I opened the door and walked out.
Cedric walked out after. "He's only nice to you then." We walked down the hall.
I shrugged. "Maybe because I am the only one nice to him, and I am the smartest in class"
"Are you sure you weren't put into Ravenclaw."
I huffed. "Definitely not. I am smart but not a nerd." Cedric smiled. "So... How's Cho?"
Cedric sucked his teeth. "Why do you always have to ask that when we talk?" He grumbled shyly, I smirked. "We are officially dating now."
I beamed. "No way. Finally. How many years have you swooned over her? Since your third or fourth year?"
Cedric pushed me. "Stop."
"Cedric and Cho, sitting in a tree. K-I-S-S-I-."
Cedric placed his hand on my mouth. "Stop. Or I'll send you to Filch instead."
I pulled is hand away. "No you wouldn't."
Cedric raised a challenging brow. "Wouldn't I?" My mouth gaped, he smirked. "I wouldn't."
"Whatever." I huffed. "I could handle Filch."
"Sure." Cedric scoffed and stopped at the top step that leads to the dungeon. "Would you like me to walk you down?"
I shook my head. "I like some independence." I smiled. "Goodnight Cedo."
Cedric raised a brow. "A new nickname?"
I smirked. "Cedric and Cho, Cedo." Cedric rolled his eyes. "Or would you rather Changory. Actually that has a better ring to it."
"Lord, Liv. Stop." I smirked, Cedric sighed. "Goodnight, Liv."
"Night Cedo." He rolled his eyes, I walked down the steps and over to the doorway. "Pureblood." The door revealed itself and I walked in.
"Where have you been?" Draco was relaxed on one of the leather couches.
I sighed. "Depends. Am I speaking to Draco or Malfoy?" I stopped at the couch.
Draco sat up. "Draco."
I smiled. "I was going to speak with Dumbledore but he was busy so I came back here." I shrugged. "Now I am going to bed and you should do the same. If you want, I'm not bossing you."
Draco stood up. "You better watch it before you get caught by Filch."
I smiled. "If I can handle the Malfoys then I can handle Filch."
Draco rolled his eyes. "Just go to bed, Mudblood." He walked towards the boys side.
I smiled. "Were you waiting for me?"
Draco scoffed. "You think to much, Mudblood." He walked up his side.
I smiled. "Goodnight, Pureblood!" I exclaimed up the corridor to him and walked up mine. I walked into the room, Pansy glared at me, I rolled my eyes and got ready for bed. I hopped in bed after. "Night Pansy."
"Filthy mudblood." She huffed, I rolled my eyes.
