Diggory

04:07, 5 August 2024

Puberty is when a child's body begins to develop and change as they become an adult. Girls develop breasts and start their periods. Boys develop a deeper voice and facial hair will start to appear. The average age for girls to begin puberty is 11, while for boys the average age is 12.

I'm a girl, and I am 13, almost 14, so my puberty had better be about done because I swear if I grow any more I'm going to lose my mind.

I use to be a scrawny, flat chest like a male, short girl. But now I'm tall, have a chest that is very noticeable, and the delicious meals I've been getting has filled me out in a healthy way.

In other words I am no longer a toothpick but instead an hourglass that is running out of time because for some reason Mr. Weasley decided to get tickets to the World Quidditch cup for Mione and I, Harry too and his family.

Quidditch is an amazing thing to watch, but I was never the one to pick teams or watch the score but instead watch how they fly on those brooms. I enjoy the sights not the scores in other words.

Mione and I arrived at the Weasleys last night, now it's morning and we needed to get going so we weren't late. Mione went up to get Harry and Ron while I got dressed into black pants and a white knitted sweater I got as a Christmas gift, it isn't exactly cold out but this sweater is not the best warmer either so it's fine.

I walked down to the kitchen, Mrs. Weasley turned to me. "Ah, Olivia. Come, come. Breakfast is almost ready."

Ginny refused to look at me directly as she set the table, still feeling guilty for what happened two years ago.

I smiled and walked over. "Can I help?"

"No, no, dear. It is practically done." Mrs. Weasley turned with a pan and a spatula. "Come, sit." She platted the eggs on each plate.

""Olivia."" The twins came down the stairs and jumped into a seat. ""Thanks mom.""

Mrs. Weasley put a plate of bacon and pancakes on the table.

I chuckled. "Must you too always speak at the same time?" I took a seat next to Fred. "Maybe try alternating to be creative."

"Together." "Is." "More." "Fun." They alternated. ""It also sounds batter this way."" I rolled my eyes.

Mione came down the steps. "They're coming I believe." She sat next to me. "Nice sweater." She smiled.

"Thanks." I smirked. "Are they still in bed?"

"Ron probably is." Fred scoffed.

"You can't wake Ron up." George said with a mouth of pancake.

Mrs. Weasley turned to George. "Don't speak with your mouth full." She lectured, then turned to the stairs. "Ronald Weasley!"

"Coming mom!" We all heard loud scurrying and chuckled.

"That boy." Mrs. Weasley turned back to the counter and picked up a plate of what looked to be cut up melon.

Mr. Weasley walked in and over to Mrs. Weasley. "Good morning." He kissed her on the cheek as she placed the melon on the table. "I expect you are all excited." He says down. "Tell me Hermione and Olivia, have you ever been to a football game? I hear it is like Quidditch but without brooms."

I smiled. "Not official ones, just the ones the kids at school played. But in football there is no keeper, unless you are talking about soccer which is football in English. If you are then yes, soccer is like Quidditch."

Arthur nodded. "So they play games as a casual game as well?"

I nodded. "Our games are altered so anyone can play at any age. Even people in wheelchairs play a game called basketball which is almost the same as well. No keeper though."

"Fascinating. You must take me to one of these casual games."

I smiled at his deep interest in muggles. "Actually the school from age 15 to 18 and then the higher aged schools hold there own basketball games and complete with each other's age group at different schools. The football is played as well. Maybe I will take you some day." I smiled.

Arthur pointed his fork at me. "I like you, Olivia." I smiled.

Ron and Harry came running down the steps. "We're here." They sat down. "Thanks mom."

Arthur looked at his watch. "We have to leave soon."

"Where are we going?" Harry asked confused.

"Surprise my boy." Arthur smiled. "All in good time." I smiled knowing Harry will freak out.

Harry and I... We had an end of the year conversation where I told him everything that happened behind everyone's back. Harry said sorry, I told him it was fine since I wasn't expecting him to like me for what I did without knowing the truth himself. So we are still the same distant, but close, friends, nothing changed.

.Arthur looked at his watch again. "Oh, dear. We must leave." He put his napkin on the table and stood up. "Go on, get your bags." Arthur walked to Mrs. Weasley to give her another kiss as all of us went to grab our over night bags.

We all walked outside and headed into the forest with Mr. Weasley leading, Mrs. Weasley decided to stay home. The sun was just lightning up the forest as it rose up from its slumber, the birds of dawn chirping away.

"Hey, dad! Where are we going?!" Ron at the caboose yelled to the conductor of the group.

"Haven't the foggiest." He yelled back. "Keep up."

We walked further and further into the forest and I was starting to think we were just going to walk all the way until I saw a man standing under a tree.

"Arthur!" The man greeted as we approached. "It's about time, son."

"Sorry, Amos. Some of us had a bit of a sleepy start." Mr. Weasley looked back to Ron and Harry, they smiled innocently. "This is Amos Diggory, everyone."

My eyes widened. "Diggory?" Cedric then jumped down from the tree and smiled at me. "Ric!"

"Hey, Liv."

"And this strapping young man must be Cedric, am I right."

Cedric shook hands with Mr. Weasley. "Yes, sir." He looked at me and nudged his head further into the forest. "This way."

I shook my head and walks up to him. "Looks like the little bean sprouted, Ric. You're tall." I chuckled.

Ric smiled. "I'm not the only one who's changed." I rolled my eyes. "You look good, Liv." I eyed him, he held up his hand in surrender. "I am just saying. Don't search to hard, I'm not making any moves."

I smiled. "Good, because you would be rejected and your reputation crushed."

"And what reputation would that be?"

"The sweet handsome boy every girl wants and every boy wants to be."

Cedric chuckled under his breath. "That is not true."

I smiled. "How's the girl?"

Cedric looked to the ground and then his eyes looked at me. "The same."

"You're a nice boy, Ric." I nudged his side with my elbow. "But you'll have to tell her before someone scoops her up."

"I will." I raised a brow. "I will, soon."

I rolled my eyes. "Sure, lover boy." Cedric smiled, we left the tree-line and ahead was fields as far as I could see. "Exactly how far are we walking?"

Cedric pointed as if I knew where he was motioning to. "There's a port key up ahead to take us."

"Port key?"

"An object enchanted to instantly bring anyone touching it to a specific location."

We walked and walked until up ahead on top of a small incline was a boot, I chuckled. "The Great Ol'Boot of Teleportation."

Cedric chuckled. "Come on." He knelt down, I knelt next to him. "Touch the boot."

I touched it's leather material. "This is by far the strangest thing I have done."

"Ready?" Mr. Diggory asked as everyone touched the boot. "After three. One, two..."

"Harry." Mr. Weasley exclaimed, Harry quickly touched the boot.

"Three!"

I felt my legs fly out from under me as the boot moved us through whatever way of transport it used. But whatever it was spun us like a carnival ride.

"Let go kids." Mr. Diggory said.

"What?!" Hermione gasped.

Cedric wrapped his arm around my waist. "Let go together." I nodded. "Now." We both let go and started to fall. "Move your legs as if you are running."

I did and we slowed down. "This is really strange, Ric."

We slowly lowered to the ground as we ran in the sky. Harry, Ron, and Mione were laying on the ground from the fall.

"Hey that cleared your sinuses, eh?" Mr. Weasley chuckled.

Cedric walked over and helped Harry up. "Thanks."

Cedric nodded and we continued walking. "How did you become so kind and caring Sir Diggory?"

Cedric smiled. "I'm a Hufflepuff. I should be asking you how you're so kind Slytherin Kimberly."

I chuckled. "Who said I was kind. Maybe I have an ulterior motive."

"Sure you do." We walked up the incline and I saw miles and miles of tents and people having a wonderful time.

"Well kids, welcome to the Quidditch World Cup!" Mr. Weasley announced. "Let's all stay together shall we, kids?" Arthur moved forward.

"Still not a fan of crowds?" Cedric asked.

I shrugged. "I've gotten more use to it."

Cedric smiled softly. "Come on."
