Crazy Train

04:07, 5 August 2024

Summer, full of; pictures, studying, stories, baking, studying, movie nights, shopping, studying.

It was something I never experienced before, well, I have, but I don't remember.

The Grangers are fun people, not humorous or funny but a calm kind of fun. A 'We are oldish adults but have a child so we have to be fun' kind of people, or the 'We wasted all of our energy when you were a baby so you get what you get' kind of fun.

"No boyfriends." Mr. Granger ordered, then looked directly at me. "No self spelling either."

I smiled innocently. "I would never." He smiled. "It was fun getting to know you again."

Mione grabbed my arm. "We will be fine."

Mrs. Granger smiled. "We know. Just make sure you have fun."

"But not to much fun." Mr. Granger finished.

Mione let go of me and hugged her parents. "We will write." She let go and grabbed her trolley. "Bye."

I grabbed my trolley. "Thank you again for housing me."

"It's no problem, Olivia." I smiled. "Have a good time."

"We will." I pushed the trolley and walked beside Mione. "Let's hope I don't lose my memories again."

Mione smiled. "Let's hope we don't get petrified again." I chuckled under my breath.

By some coincidence we found Harry and Ron together at the trolley drop off, Mione gave Harry a hug and Ron a half hug. I smiled because I am still not a touchy person except for with Mione since we are very, very close.

The four of us walked onto the train, but stopped when Ron heard his mother calling and running to the doors window with scrapers in her hand as the train started moving.

(That rat is...)(Maybe I'm losing it but something up with it.)

Harry lead the way down the train, the conversation of his aunt was being talked about between the three of them while I internally laughed at Harry blowing up his aunt like a ballon.

Mione stopped at a cabin Harry passed. "Come on. Everywhere else is full." She opened the door and walked in, Harry walked in, then me, then Ron.

"Who do you think that is?" Ron asked and sat opposite of the man.

"Professor R.J. Lupin." Hermione said. I sat between Mione and Ron, Harry sat on the same side as Lupin.

"How is it you know everything?" Ron scoffed.

Mione pointed to his suitcase. "It's on his suitcase, Ronald."

Harry eyed the man. "Do you think he's really asleep?"

"Seems to be. Why?"

Harry stood up. "I gotta tell you something." He shut the door and sat back down. "It's about Sirius Black."

"What about him?" Ron asked.

"Who's Sirius Black?" I asked at the same time.

Mione looked at me. "Remember all those posters when we were in Diagon alley and then at the leaky cauldron?"

"Ohhh. The man who was screaming to the photo video camera whatever."

I still haven't figured out how they get the photos to move. I know it is magic but... this is why I like potions, I can actually explain it.

"Yea." Harry said. "Anyways when we were in the leaky cauldron Mr. Weasley pulled me aside and told me he escaped Azkaban to kill me."

"Jesus Christ, Harry." I sighed. "Are you sure? I mean why would he want to kill you?"

"Sirius thinks I'm the only thing in the way for Voldemort to come back. He's a loyal follower of Voldemort." Harry looked down to his hands.(I have a feeling I should have stayed home.)

Ron shuffled in his seat. "Let me get this straight. Sirius Black escaped from Azkaban to come after you?"

Harry nodded. "Yea."

"But they will catch Black, won't they?" Mione looked at all of us. "I mean, everyone's looking for him."

"Sure." Ron replied. "Except no one's ever broken out of Azkaban before and he's a murderous, raving lunatic."

My brows furrowed. "He killed someone?" They all looked at me, I shrugged. "He doesn't... never mind."(His picture didn't look like a killer but a person in utter despair and anger.)

The train shook and slowed down. "Why are we stopping?"

Mione looked out the window. "We can't be there yet."

I leaned back on the wall. "I think this man is smart to take a nap."

Harry stood up and looked out the door, a sudden jolt and he fell back to his seat. "I dont know. Maybe we've broken down."

The lights went out, I closed my eyes. "Can a magic train even break down?"

"There's something moving out there." Ron said a little scared.

I smirked. "Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary." Mione nudged me, I chuckled. "While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping. As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door."

"Stop it." Mione said nervously.

"Fine. You all are boring." The train jerked again, I opened my eye as the room got cold, the window froze over. "Well the weather outside is frightful."

""Olivia."" They all said together.

I chuckled slightly. "Fine. Fine." I looked at my frozen breath, the frosted windows. "Do we know what's going on?" The train jerked again.

Ron jumped back. "Bloody hell! What's happening?"

A dark cloak peaked around the corridor window, a dark hooded figure with a skeleton hand slowly opened the door. My face fell, as it looked into our cabin and straight to Harry.

"Harry." I warned, Harry stared at the creature as if it was sucking the life out of him. "Harry!"

Lupin stood up, pointed his wand creating a bright light, sending the creature back. Harry's eyes closed and he fell onto the bench, passed out, Mione jumped off her seat and moved to Harry.

Lupin put down his wand and looked at Harry. "He's just passed out." He took Miones seat next to me.

I eyed him, Lupin took out a small piece of chocolate. "Experience?" Lupin looked at me.

(He hates himself. Such strong self loathing. Almost disgusted. But this man is different, wrong, wild, a beast is hidden. I'm not sure if that is a good beast or bad.)

"More like prepared." He turned back to Harry.

I eyed him. "Defense Against the Dark Arts?"

Lupin looked at me and nodded. "Yes."

I looked into his eyes, his cut along his cheek. "You.." I shook my head and held out a hand. (Do not fuck up with this Defense teacher.)"I'm Olivia Kimberly but you can call me whatever you wish."

He shook my hand, his course and strong. "Lupin, it's nice to meet you, Olivia."

I smiled. "What was the spell you used? I couldn't hear it."

Lupin smiled. "I never said it. Its Expecto Patronum, its very hard to master though."

I smiled and nodded. "I like you already. You shouldn't hate yourself so much." Lupin frowned, I pressed my lips together. "Sorry. I tend to.. Sorry." I mentally kicked myself as I looked back at Harry.

"Harry?" Mione tried to wake him up, Hary stirred. "Harry. Are you alright?"

Harry opened his eyes and looked around, Lupin held a piece of chocolate to Harry. "Here, eat this. It'll help." Harry took it. "It's alright. Just chocolate."

Harry sat up and eyed the door. "What was that thing?"

"It was a dementor. One of the guards of Azkaban. It's gone now." Lupin said then turned from the door to Harry. "It was searching the train for Sirius Black." He put the chocolate down next to Harry. "If you'll excuse me, I need to have a little word with the driver." Lupin stood up and moved to the door, turning to us one more time. "Eat. You'll feel better." He closed the door and left.

Harry bit into the chocolate. "What happened to me?"

"Well you sort of went rigid." Ron said as Mione picked up her cat and sat back down. "We thought maybe you were having a fit or something."

"And did either of you three.. you know.. pass out?" Harry eyes us all.

"No." Ron replied. "It felt weird though. Like I'd never be cheerful again."

(Oh, that wasn't just me?) I looked away.

"But someone was screaming." Harry said. "A woman."

Mione shook her head. "No one was screaming, Harry."
