Ch 71

It was night and we were on our way to find Tsunade. 

Apparently it would take like 12 hours walking nonstop to get there, but Kabuto gave a few extra hours because he knew Orochimaru would be edgy. 

Like right now. 

The pain got too much so he started screaming into the night. Thank God we are in a forest. He was screaming at the sky before dropping down to his knees. 

"Curse you Sarutobi!" 

I was unamused by his display, it wasn't funny anymore. It was fun at first, but then it got sad. If Orochimaru was screaming like this, then that pain must be excruciating. 

But even at his lowest, he still manages to be violent and cut down a tree. And without his arms too. He has my respect, but his personality makes me take that statement right back. 

Orochimaru was still breathing heavily, but in the quiet of the night it was even louder. It's like the ringing in your ears that you just can't see to get rid of. 

Kabuto was also here, but he was so quiet and unbothered that it seemed like he wasn't. 

This journey was two young adults accompanying a grown ass man child trying to get his arms back that was taken away by his former master because he's a creep and a psychopath and basically demanding his former teammate to heal his arms when he's wanted through all the seven seas for every crime in the book. 

A mouthful. 

After another tantrum Orochimaru got up and we started walking again. It was an uncomfortable silence. And an even more uncomfortable situation. 

Two crazy men and one semi crazy me in a forest. Horror movie material. I don't know if for the others it was uncomfortable, but for me I was dying. It took one thought and I was never the same. 

That was until Orochimaru opened his slimy mouth. "At least, these arms can be restored." 

That was random. Maybe he was also feeling awkward and started talking to ease the air. But because it's him, he made it worse. 

"She may be good Medicine, but she'll leave you with a bitter taste in your mouth." Kabuto, I thought I taught you better. Don't humour this guy. If he says weird stuff, ignore him. But instead he made it even worse again! 

"Not to worry." We should worry, you don't even like your actual bitter medicine and would kill others who even said to take it. 

What the hell! Kabuto doesn't take the hint though. 

"I have a little knowledge of Lady Tsunade myself. I was a member of the medical court after all. She was the first to propose what is now a very common practice. For each squad to have a medical specialist included, simple but brilliant." 

And kinda stupid it took them this long to do that. I'm guessing enough people died for them to be like 'how do we fix this?' Boi! Bring them doctors with you! 

"It was a landmark idea. What becomes of a squad on the battlefield with no one to administer emergency medical equipment. The answer is clearer than a fire in the night." 

Kabuto, you didn't need to continue. We got what you meant the first time you graced us with your opinion. Also, don't get philosophical with Orochimaru in the room. 

This man will twist your words... badly. 

"Counting the years on the battlefield have simply taught them how to cope with the ravages of war. All those who were sacrificed led to the Method you speak of. And one only truly grasps the value of something once it has been taken away from you." 

Now here he goes. Look what you did, now Orochimaru wants to talk. 

"This revolutionary idea, enacted by one of the legendary sannin. Hailed for her medical prowess, spawned in that sacrifice." 

Help me. 

Kill me. 

Save me. 

They both glanced at me, almost asking for my input. But seriously, I don't want to speak to you weirdos! Piss off!

"I didn't experience war much, not from the battlefield or anything. Remember when you met me Orochimaru, I was 3." 

A horrible age to meet him, and an even more horrible way to get on his radar. 

"Yes, you were a brat. But a smart one, I could tell." 

Well ya, but does he seriously think I would be nice to him? Even if I didn't know who he was he still gives off creepy vibes. Any child would go running. It was morning by the time we got to a clearing, we could see the town surrounded by walls. 

"It is only a matter of time now." 

I hummed in thought, "you both know I won't fight, right?" 

Orochimaru gave a dismissive nod, "you would only hold me down." 

I gave a quiet snort before scoffing out loud, "rude. Have fun, I'm going gambling then." 

I jumped from where I was and ran to the town at full speed. I wasn't actually insulted, why should I mind the words of a man who's been screaming all week. 

My real goal is to see Tsunade. 

I needed Orochimaru to lead us to the town because I actually didn't really know where it was. And when we were close, I ditched them. But I don't have much time, I have to find her before they come and make a fool of themselves. 

I managed to get past the guards at the front and was running down the street. I went to a few gambling spots, and when I saw she wasn't there and went straight to another one. 

When I finally saw her in the streets, I slowed my full speed running into a light jog. There was no non-weird way to have this conversation. 

"Lady Tsunade," I walked right in front of her, "may I have some of your time?" 

She raised her brow at me, "huh?" 

This is already not looking good, "I have a favor I would like you to ask." 

Tsunade sighed, "look, I'm kinda busy right now. Maybe ask this later." Shizune also looked confused at my request. Before Tsunade could move I moved in front of her again. 

"I'm sorry Lady Tsunade, but I don't have that luxury." She sighed in annoyance, "fine, what is it?" 

I took a deep breath before speaking, "I would like you to perform a surgery. Eye surgery specifically." 

This definitely caught them both off guard. Shizune spoke up, "why do you want Tsunade to do it?" 

I shook my head, "because I don't trust anyone else. This is very serious to me and I don't want anything to be messed up." 

Tsunade definitely looked at me pitifully, but she didn't waver, "I think you're overthinking it. There are many good doctors." 

I again shook my head, "but they aren't you." 

Tsunade crossed her arms, "Fine then, Why should I help you?" 

Yep, you definitely don't have a reason to help me. This was the one question where it would be do or die. So I took a different approach. 

"You don't want to? We could play a game and gamble to see what happens then?" She sucks at gambling and would lose. 

She frowned at the idea, "since you know me you know my reputation." 

She didn't say yes? 

"No." 

Ok, that idea is out the window. I didn't think it would work, but I had to try. I don't want to use all my good cards upfront, she'll think I have more than I do. And my Resources are limited. Heavy on the limited. 

"Fine, what if I just give you the money?" 

This one better work. 

"How much we speaking?" 

Good, I planted the bait and she's interested. 

"How much are you in debt?" 

If I know the full extent on how much she lost, I can bs it more. 

"Too much for a young lady like you to have." 

Not good, I'm working on nothing, no information at all. 

I sighed, "how about 15 million ryo?" 

Start off big, and she will fall all over herself. I still have some money left so this is how much I'll give her. 

She stopped to consider it, "15, not bad." I sighed in relief, "great then-" 

"50 million ryo." 

Honestly, no sympathy. If she got that much into debt then that's her fault. Plus I don't have that much, "20 million ryo." 

She smirked, "40 million." I frowned, this motherf- 

My eye twitched, "30 million. Take it or leave it." 

She smirked, raising her hand to shake mine, "deal." 

Did she just haggle all my money? Oh my God, she took all my damn money, I'm broke. 

She chuckled like a little girl who got the christmas present she wanted. Well she was spoiled rotten by the first Hokage. 

Oh, are you curious about why I had so much money? 

How do you think I got all this shit people, I stole it? Ok, fine. Maybe a few things, but I still had money. Especially since I knew this was going to happen. 

She Ain't cheap. 

A/n You guys got this an hour early! Incase your wondering, Ishi didn't use her mother's eyes is because she didn't trust anyone to preform the surgery. If anything went wrong, she's blind.
