Ch 21

It's interesting. 

The Hokage is the most important person in the leaf. But anyone can just walk up into his office. It's especially convenient for me. 

"Lord 3rd" I softly said as I walked in, I didn't want a repeat of last time. 

I could see a white haired Anbu member and I knew it was Kakashi, I giggled and left him alone. 

"What is it this time, child?" I gave a dumbfounded look, this time? What does he mean this time? It was two weeks ago that that prick Shiro, whatever his name is, was fired. And I witnessed it too, it was beautiful. 

"I want a little favour?" I smiled sheepishly, lord 3rd sighed with a smile before he nodded, asking me to tell him. "I want someone to teach me about hand seals" I needed a little more practice and the books only go so far with it. 

The higher in rank it is, the more hidden and hard to find. 

Lord 3rd nodded, "and what good would this do? If I allow just anyone to take a teacher, it would be unfair." I grunted, this guy wants a give and take? 

Fine. 

"I did some experiments and found something out, if you give me someone competent I will show you what I found." There's his give and take. Lord 3rd chuckled "that's not how this works" he smirked, "but I'll allow it, just this once." 

I hummed, holding back a smirk. I knew it would work. Konohamaru was born a little while ago, at the moment the guy has a soft spot for kids. If I wanted to be taken seriously I would have come here looking like an adult. 

"Come back here in two days, I'll give you someone you could have for the week" I couldn't hold back an evil smirk this time, "and please don't hurt him" lord 3rd added. "They'll come back in one piece" I chuckled darkly. 

//Time//skip//two//days// 

I come back and find this shinobi with lord 3rd already. But I didn't remember his name but I recognized him. "Hello" I politely said, I felt like I should act prim and proper. But on the inside I was screaming. 

They both turned to me and the shinobi softly nodded in confirmation, "an Uchiha? I've never taught one." I tilt my head and put on a soft and polite voice "I'm not that special, please treat me like any other of your students." 

Lord 3rd gave me a dumbfounded look, he too was surprised by my attitude. 

"So polite and humble" he clapped his hands in praise. He turned around to quickly finish his conversation with lord 3rd as I smiled evilly. I was ready to learn and he was going to learn about me too. 

I could see Kakashi's Anbu mask raise a little, was he smiling? 

The shinobi turned back to me and I smiled politely again. "What's your name kid?" I softly giggled "I am Ishi Uchiha, pleasure to meet you." He nodded "I'm Ebisu, nice to meet you too." 

Ohhhhh, I remember this guy. He was Konohamaru's teacher. No wonder I wanted to act polite, this guy is annoying when things aren't by the book. So, let's see how long I can keep up this sweet girl act. 

We headed outside and he started telling me about hand seals. "First things first, I'm a Tokubetsu Jonin. That means I excel in a specific area. Which would be hand seals" I nodded, listening. 

"Hand seals are used to perform many ninjutsu, genjutsu, and other secret arts other than taijutsu. They are designed to aid people in properly summoning and moulding chakra necessary to perform a technique. There are different sequences of hand seals for every technique, requiring memorization." 

I loudly groaned in my head, I hate memorization. 

"By reading the hand seals of the opponent, a ninja can predict the nature of the technique to be performed, which is virtually unavoidable if read by the Sharingan. Your lucky kid" I smiled and continued listening as we made it to the training grounds.

"The 12 basic hand seals are Rat, Ox, Tiger, Hare, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Ram, Monkey, Dog, Bird, Boar." He showed me what they looked like.

"Kid, I have to go. But just remember those hand seals, alright" I nodded and watched him leave. 

Why did he bring me to a training ground if he was just going to leave. 

I walk home with a scowl on my face and ignore everyone giving me weird looks. I didn't make it a few minutes into the Uchiha clan before I heard my name. I snapped my head back, ready to kill someone but I saw it's Fugaku. 

"Ishi, come with me" I nodded a little confused but I followed him. We walked in silence as Fugaku brought me to where he taught Itachi and later Sasuke fireball jutsu. 

I looked at him in shock as I realized he was going to teach me. 

He showed me his fireball jutsu before he then showed me the hand seals for it. Snake, Ram, Monkey, Boar, Horse and Tiger. "Now, try it" Fugaku was seriously comparing me to Itachi, and while I am honestly honoured. 

I know he is stronger. 

"Fire style, fireball jutsu" I felt the chakra flow through me and out of my mouth in a controlled blaze. 

Fugkau nodded, "decent, but still not good enough." I frowned, he was right. It was decent, it was maybe a little more than half of what he did. "Let me try one more time" I did the hand seals and once again felt the chakra flow through me and out my mouth in a burning inferno. 

Fugaku hummed "noticeably bigger, but not by much" . I frowned at his words, "come back tomorrow." I was gonna master this even if I stayed here all night. 

Fugaku left shortly after, but I didn't. I stayed till late at night, when the moon was at its peak. 

I walked around the Uchiha grounds to clear my head after trying the jutsu for hours, but found myself thinking more on what's to come instead. I walked out of the Uchiha grounds and started walking around the village. There were almost no people out, but I could feel a little stare. 

Someone was watching me. 

I knew that there were Shinobi that patrolled the village at night, but I knew it wasn't that. On my way back home, right before I entered the Uchiha clan grounds I heard an old voice call out to me "Ishi Uchiha." 

I turned around and I didn't see anyone, I then chuckled softly and took a step back. 

He is in front of me. 

I turn back around and there he is, Danzo Shimura. While I hate this guy, he is still a high rank Konoha official. I don't want to stir unnecessary trouble. I bowed my head slightly as a respectful greet, "Hello Danzo Shimura." 

It honestly might be a little threat on my part, I know his rank. 

I know who he is. 

Danzo opened his eye. Its deep and gloomy darkness was so wide that I was almost drawn into it. Enough that it repulsed me. 

"If there were 10 men locked in a room, one of which was deadly sick, what is the best course of action to save the other 9 men?" I sighed, and looked away. 

"Is it too hard for you, child?" I clicked my tongue, annoyed at his little stunt to get a rise out of me. 

"The question isn't hard, there's just no information you get from that" I snapped. Danzo hummed and stared at me with narrowed eyes, "that's the idea." 

I groaned, "I know that's the idea, but what do you want me to say?" I hissed. "The guy is deadly sick and might infect the others. But if we kill him, it might infect them anyway" this question is stupid. 

"If they-" 

"I'm not done" I interrupted. 

I'm going to finish this question no matter what. "Now we have to know what's making him sick. How do we know the others aren't already infected? How do we know that they aren't already dead? Shouldn't we just kill them all?" I pointed at him, "Shouldn't we give a chance to the poor guy as well?" I insisted. 

 "Why would we?" he asked. 

I frowned, "Maybe he knows what caused his sickness. Maybe he knows how to cure it. Maybe we could make a vaccine so that no one gets sick from it again." 

I crossed my arms, "killing isn't always the best answer." Danzo, his face, half concealed by bandages, nodded firmly. 

"Your answer is the opposite of Itachi Uchiha" I hummed, "he said to kill the guy, didn't he." Danzo nodded, "he did." 

I scoffed, who would have thought. 

Danzo's hand touched my shoulders, his hand was so cold it made me shiver, "I see what Hiruzen Sarutobi sees in you." His grip is strong and threatening, it left a bad taste in my mouth. 

"You'll see more of me child, and next time. Be respectful" I was so close to saying some sassy provokation, but I thought against it. I watched as Danzo walked off, and that was then I knew. 

I screwed up.
