Chapter 6: Prison Investigation

THE NEXT DAY...

Auri: Ah... what a time to be alive...

When Auri arrived to the Police Station...

M&M: Good morning, Auri.

Auri: Oh, crap!

M&M: You are just the man who I'm looking for!

Auri: Um... hey, Commissioner M&M... what brings you here?!

M&M: I want a word with you, about something!

Auri: Um... what is it?

Auri: *MIND* Oh god... please don't kick my ass!

M&M: We've got an update on the Prison escape!

...

Auri: Wait... what?!

M&M: And, I believe it's something to do with one of your arrests.

Auri: My arrests?!

Chief: That's right... there was a time where you wanted to protect one of your best friends, back in September 2021.

Auri: Okay?

Chief: Can you remember what happened?

Auri: Well... I think I remember something that happened, back in September 2021... I first started here, and my very first case was... something to do with... a rape?

Chief: That's right! There was a victim called; Serena Zapfish... she was raped... and, you visited her in Hospital. Does that ring any bells?

Auri: Um... I think so...

M&M: Would you like to come with me, into the Interview room?

Auri: Okay?

In the Interview room...

Auri: So... what's all this about, Gov?

M&M: Back in September 2021, you joined the Mushroom Kingdom Police Department... am I correct?

Auri: Yeah?

M&M: And, your first investigation... was about a serial rapist.

Auri: I think so.

M&M: The serial rapist... turned out to be--

Auri: Yo... I know what you mean!

M&M: Go on.

Auri: There was a serial rapist called; Dylan Cumber... and, he turned out to be Meggy's Ex!

M&M: Correct! Dylan Cumber was a serial rapist... who raped and beaten up 11 innocent Inkling Girls... and, one of them was one of your best friends... when she was an Inkling. And, she was called; Meggy Spletzer.

Auri: I see... but, what is this gotta do with the Prison escape?

M&M: The Prison has announced on the News, last night... that they received a Mug-shot of the Inmate that is on the run.

Auri: Wait... last night?!

M&M: Did you watch the News?

Auri: Um... no... I was too busy congratulating TWO of my friends, last night... SMG4 and Tari are gonna have a Baby.

M&M: Congrats to them.

Auri: Anyways... who escaped Prison?

M&M: I've got bad news for you, I'm afriad... I got a photograph of the Mug-shot, in my pocket.

M&M pulled out a photograph from his pocket.

M&M: Have a look.

Auri looked at the Mug-shot.

M&M: Does he look familiar?

Auri: *gasp* I don't believe it!!!

M&M: I'm sorry... this Inmate that you put away, has escaped Prison.

Auri: 😨

Meanwhile...

Meggy: I can't believe that Tari is pregnant... and, we're gonna have another member of the SMG4 family!!!

Melony: OMG... it's so exciting!!!

Mario: It kinda reminds me of last year.

Meggy: Does it?

Mario: Do you remember when you were pregnant, Meggy?

Meggy: Ah, I remember indeed... I was stroking my Big Pregnant Belly, 24/7... and that was the best experience... in my life. 

Mario: I was hugging it.

Melony: I bet SMG4 will do the same!

Mario/Meggy: *wheezes*

Melony: I'm just saying.

...

Meggy: I wonder if Auri is feeling better after that surprise announcement.

Mario: I think he's probably forgotten about that lie, that he just told.

Meggy: Well, he's a good Copper... he just panicked when he was confronted by a group of Inklings. He was probably out-numbered... and, it was a 1 vs 3 situation.

Melony: Didn't he say that one of them was the Inkling that me and you saw, when we were in Manchester?

Meggy: Yeah... and, I kicked him in the face.

Mario: Why?

Meggy: He said that he used to be friends with a serial rapist...

Mario: Okay?

Melony: You were also saying that I was being sexually harassed!

Meggy: I know... I was trying to protect you, that's all...

Melony: What do you think is gonna happen to me?!

Meggy: I'm just worried that you're gonna experience the same things, that I had to put up with.

Melony: I doubt that.

Meggy: Listen... I don't want History to repeat... and, I'm just trying to keep everyone safe.

Mario: Am I safe?

Meggy: Of course, you are.

Mario: What about our kids?

Meggy: Everyone is safe!

Mario: Aww... Group Hug!

Melony: Yay!

THAT AFTERNOON...

Swag: Yo... what's up, Thicc Bois?!

Chief: How do you do? I'm the Chief Inspector of the Mushroom Kingdom Police Department... along side me is the Commissioner M&M, and Officer Auri. 

Auri: I'm the one who sent an Inkling to Prison.

Chris: Ah... we've been expecting you.

Chief: So... what's been happening, over the past few days?

Chris: Well, as you are all aware... there has been a Prison escape, and--

Auri: I know what has happened...

Swag: OI... NO TALKING WHILST THE TEACHER IS TALKING!!!

Chief: You were saying?

Chris: Anyways... we have an Inmate on the run, and we might need your help! Some of you may recognise him.

Auri: I might have recognised him.

Swag: Who wants to visit his cell, and look for some clues?

Auri: Get me in that cell!!!

In the Prison cell...

Auri: Good... Lord!!!

Chris: This is one of our Solitary Confinement cells.

Swag: The poster is pretty hot.

Auri: Um... have you got a name for this Prisoner that escaped?!

Chris: Um... let's have a look at my files.

Chris searched through his files.

Chris: A-ha! The Solitary Confinement cell belongs to... Dylan Cumber!

*GASP*

M&M: Dylan Cumber, you say?!

Swag: The first 3 letters of his surname are pretty sus!

Auri: 😡

Chief: You okay, Auri?

Auri: I want him found! Not tomorrow... not after Breakfast... Now!!!

Swag: Um... we just had Lunch.

...

Auri: I JUST WANT HIM FOUND, NOW!!!

Chief: Auri, relax! We'll do everything that we can!!!

Auri: I'M SO ANGRY... I CAN TEAR OFF THIS RANDOM BIKINI POSTER, OFF THIS WALL!!!

Swag: Eh?!

Auri: GRRR!!! 😡😡😡

*RIP*

Auri tore off the Poster.

Auri: W- What the hell?!

He then spotted something.

Auri: I can't believe this is happening!!!

Auri rushed away.

Mario: Did they turn me into an Elephant?!

Meggy: Looks like it.

Mario: They literally turned me into... SML Cody's Mom!

Meggy: Oh come on... stop complaining!

Meggy: Well, at least... there's a HD Remake of Super Mario RPG.

SMG4 arrived.

SMG4: How's everyone doing?

Mario: They turned me into an wild animal!

SMG4: P E A K

Mario: What do you want, SMG4?

SMG4: Listen, since Tari is pregnant with my Baby... we're having a Party to celebrate this special occasion, on Saturday night!

Melony: That sounds like fun.

SMG4: Everybody is gonna prepare for the Party... some are preparing decorations, some are preparing Games, and some are preparing food.

Mario: I was just gonna say; will there be food?

SMG4: Yes... there will be Pizza and Cake.

Mario: HELL YEAH!!!

SMG4: The only problem is... we don't have Champagne.

Meggy: I see...

SMG4: Can any of you, go down to the store and get some... Champagne?

Mario: Me, Meggy and my kids are just on our way home... anyway.

Meggy: Well, we can help get some Champagne...

Melony: I'll tell you what... how about, after we bought the Champagne... I'll just bring them back... while Mario, Meggy and the kids will walk back home?

Meggy: OK, that sounds like a plan!

SMG4: Right... I'll guess I'll see you, tomorrow... Mario and Meggy.

SMG4 left.

Mario: I still can't believe they turned me into Cody's Mom!

Back with Auri...

Auri: *sigh*

Auri drank a shot of Whiskey.

Auri: What am I gonna do? How am I gonna tell my friends that Dylan has escaped from Prison?

Auri got his phone out.

Auri: *deep breath*

Auri dialled Meggy's number.

Auri: ...

*SLAM*

Auri slammed his phone to the table.

Auri: *sigh* I can't do it...

He then drank another shot of Whiskey.

Back with the others...

Mario: Well... at least, we got the Champagne.

Meggy: Yeah... and, I'm defiantly looking forward to this new Baby to arrive.

Melony: Agreed... it's gonna be great!

Mario: I can't wait for SMG4 to suffer with crying and screaming in his ears.

Meggy: Right... we better get home.

Melony: Shall I take that Champagne bottle, back to the Castle?

Mario: Actually... I was about to drink this bottle.

Melony: That's fair enough.

Meggy: Um... Melony? Are you sure you're gonna be alright, walking back on your own?

Melony: Yeah?

Meggy: I just think a woman walking alone at night, is a bit dangerous...

Melony: Meggy... I'm fine! Stop worrying!

Mario: Come on, Meggy... let the Water-melon do what she wants.

Melony: Also, I do need to pee.

Mario: Well, go pee behind a bush or something.

Meggy: *sigh* Alright, then.

Melony: See you later!

Meggy: Stay safe!

Melony went away.

Mario: Have you thought about getting inked, yet?

Meggy: Um... not yet.

Mario: Fair enough.

Meggy: I hope you're not gonna drink too much of that Champagne!

Mario: Of course, I won't... I do not wanna be un-conscious in the morning.

Meggy: *wheezes*

Meanwhile...

Chief: So... Dylan Cumber has escaped from Prison! First thing, tomorrow morning... I want all units to begin searching all the way around the Mushroom Kingdom, Inkopolis and Splatsville.

C. Inkling: Well, he could be anywhere in the country by now, Chief Mushroom...

Chief: But, the question is... where the hell is he?

M&M: I feel like we need to find him, as quickly as possible... a serial rapist is on the loose!

C. Inkling: Agreed! He has raped and beaten up, 11 innocent Inkling Girls... if we get a call about a rape, the next morning... all hell will break loose.

Chief: So, at this moment in time... we have absolutely no idea where Dylan Cumber is...
