One Final Time(rs)

09:57, 2 September 2023

"Please do not be cross with me, Darling," Loki closes the door behind him. "I know I need to watch my tongue around the tiny mortal."

You feel Loki wrap his arms around your waist as you look over the railing of the balcony.

"I ensure my word to you and you alone, and I promise to be more careful," he delicately kisses your cheek, down to your shoulder.

You're listening to every word Loki is saying, but you're also lost in the feeling of his touch surrounding you.

Loki sighs and releases you, "Your silence speaks volumes, so I will wait for you back insi..."

You spin around at the loss of contact, "Wait! That's not..." You shake your head, "Tony's Morgan's father, Loki. She's heard WAY worse than anything you've said."

You watch Loki visibly relax.

"And...please stay. I..." Now you sigh. "I just...need to feel you."

"Of course," Loki pulls you against him in an embrace.

You both hold one another for a few minutes, "I would wake-up whenever I was actually able to find some sleep, still feeling your arms around me."

Loki starts running his hand up and down your back, slightly tightening his hold on you.

"Just when I would get a slight bit of hope that I would turn and see you lying next to me, thinking everything may have been a nightmare, the feeling of you would become phantom and fade away again," now it's your turn to hold Loki closer.

"Then I will hold you just like this for the remainder of our days," Loki kisses the top of your head.

------------------------------------------------------

Shortly after, Loki teleported you to your room.

"Why didn't you tell me?" you ask, sitting against Loki's front, as he leans against the headboard of your bed.

"Tell you...?" he traces your arm with his hand.

You dig into your pocket and hold up the paper Bruce gave you.

"Is this a list of the many things you love about me?" you can hear the smirk on Loki's face as he takes the paper from you.

You poke his ribs, "Your modesty is at the very top of course."

You feel him laugh against your back, and then he opens to read it.

"You know you could have told me, right?" you shift and turn to sit facing Loki now.

He folds the paper back up, "To be fair, Bruce is the only one who knew."

"You didn't tell Pepper?"

Loki shakes his head, "If I was unsuccessful, I did not wish to have given anyone false hope."

You stay silent, but still hold Loki's hand in yours, "Bruce says that he will recover. You saved his arm, Loki."

"I would do anything and everything for you," Loki pauses. "You are everything to me." He pulls you back against him, both of you staying just like that for the rest of the day.

-----------------------------------------------------

A week later, everyone is sitting in the main room having breakfast.

"Someone better explain why Loki's voice was the first I heard every. Single. Morning," a voice comes from the hall doorway.

Everyone whips around to a slow-walking Tony.

"DADDY!" Morgan runs over to him.

Tony holds her against his leg in a hug, while also hugging Pepper over her.

You make eye contact with Tony a few seconds later and walk over to him.

"I thought I was in hell, having to listen to Loki ramble on and on," a smile plays behind Tony's expression.

"Don't worry, I reserved the room next to you down there so I can annoy you for all of eternity," you give Tony a hug as well.

"You know, I'm in recovery; you should be nicer to me," Tony pretends to be hurt.

"Hey! I'm helping! Treating you as I normally would," you nudge his good arm.

Bruce comes over to check Tony out, while you make your way back to Loki.

"Do I get to share your chambers in Hel, my love?" Loki leans to your ear.

"Maybe. I'll send you the application form," you knew you'd get a reaction from Loki.

He hums against your neck, "We both know that I can persuade you with...actions and visual demonstrations instead."

--------------------------------------------

Loki pulls you onto his lap as he sits on the couch, "Hello, Darling."

You laugh as you almost spill your tea, "Maybe you should just use magic to permanently attach us together like this."

His eyebrows raise, as does his hand.

"I WAS JOKING!" you push his arm down.

"And yet, I do not believe that either of us would mind that scenario, Mate," one of his hands finds your hip.

You laugh, swatting it away, as you watch Tony put a custom made Iron Man mask on Morgan. It's been just over a month, and the tower finally feels back to normal. Well, the normal for the Avengers.

"I think the tiny mortal needs more friends," Loki rests his chin on your shoulder.

"Morgan actually has quite a lot, from camp and pre-school," you take a sip of your tea.

"Maybe some new ones then," Loki's voice moves closer to your ear.

"I could ask around. Maybe some employees in the tower have kids that ar..."

"Maybe you and I...could make some new friends for her," he kisses just behind your ear.

The growl in Loki's voice causes you to spin and face him, now seeing the shade of red in his eyes, "....Frosty."

Loki hadn't noticed the change, but when he looks down at his arm, his hand up to his wrist has started turning blue, so he quickly pockets it, "I...apologize. I will try and better control this for..."

You kiss Loki, stopping his sentence and thoughts, "Never apologize for this. Understood?" You remove his hand and move it to your lips.

Loki exhales before returning the kiss to you.

"Good, Frosty," you kiss his cheek, and then an idea hits you. "A while back, you said that you would make me yours in every realm?"

His eyes squint a little, wondering what you're thinking, "I did. What are you...?"

You move to his ear, so your lips brush it as you speak, "Want to make good on that promise?"

When you pull back to his gaze, Loki's eyes have dilated, "Whenever you wish to begin."

You lick your lips, never breaking eye contact, "...10 minutes?"

Loki's eyes soften, resting his forehead to yours, "I finally get to keep you forever." His finger traces your mark, "I'll start the timer this time."
