The Fight

The feeling of Loki's lips on yours is soft but hungry, on both of your parts, and ends way too soon. Even though it was quick, you now rest your forehead on Loki's, your hands running from his cheeks to his shoulders, "You're really here."

Loki applies pressure to your lower back to pull you closer to him, "Do allow me to take you away from here and prove it to your further."

God you've missed his smirk, "Tempting, but I'm staying to fight." You lightly kiss Loki before turning around.

"Y/N..." Loki doesn't release your arm.

You freeze your movements, "I'm not going to sit back with some popcorn and pompoms rooting for them like a sporting event, Loki!"

Loki licks his lips before a shimmer of green waves over him, his horned helmet now adorned on his head.

You've been looking at the destruction all around, "This is our fight too; my mind was made up a long ti...what are you doing?" You've finally looked back and notice Loki's attire change.

"We may also need these," Loki uses his magic, allowing two daggers to form in between your hands.

"LOKI!!" Thor interrupts the moment and pulls Loki into a hug.

Loki pats Thor on the back with one of his hands, "Yes, thrilled beyond belief to see you as well, brother."

Thor releases him, "I know you are." He pushes down Loki's helmet.

"You had one job, Mischief. Just the one. And yet..." Tony waves at the scene.

"It is so honorable how appreciative you are of help from others," Loki rolls his eyes. "Gods, are you truly that pompous."

"Yes," you say immediately.

Tony shoots a glare your way, "You annoy the hell out of me."

You smirk, "Aww, love you too, brother."

"Great," Clint makes his way over holding the gauntlet. "Can we focus now?"

Not a second later, an explosion not too far sends debris, sand and dirt into the air around all of you, and the battle with Thanos has started. 

Everything becomes a blur. 

Everyone is moving and acting fast.

Everywhere is smoke, more dust, along with objects, Avengers, and countless others now fighting all around.

Your focus is depleting faster than usual, causing you to miss a blast and get knocked over.

Loki of course wasn't far. He wouldn't leave your side, and runs to you, "Are you alright?"

You use Loki to re-steady yourself, "Dandy."

Loki cups your face, searching for anything, "You look exhausted, love."

"Thanks for the confidence boost," you roll your eyes. One of the many habits of Loki's that you've picked up, "I'm...just a little tired."

Loki doesn't move, "Have you not been sleeping well?"

You take a deep breath in and mumble, "Something like that." 

Before Loki can say more, Thanos punches Carol across the scene of debris, causing silence.

Somehow, Thanos had gotten the gauntlet on his arm, and the energy starts to flow back through him. 

You watch a small smile forms on his face as he's about to snap his fingers, but Tony stops him.

Your heart sinks to your feet and you lunge forward, but Loki holds you back.

Tony's flung off of Thanos, who lifts his hand once more, "I....am...inevitable."

Everyone has stopped fighting, watching with breaths held as Thanos snaps.

But nothing happens.

And then Tony's arm lighting up gets everyone's attention.

"And I..." Tony's breathing very heavy. "Am..." He pauses. "Iron Man."

Tony snaps and the energy starts up his arm.

Your mind flashes to what happened to Bruce, "No!" You break free from Loki and take off to Tony.

Tony's eyes widen when you appear next to him, "What...are you doing?!" He's straining from the energy.

"Offering a hand," you grab Tony's elbow and start absorbing some of the power.

"You're insane," Tony smiles a little through the pain.

"Says the one who snapped in the first place by himself," you match Tony's smile, until your eyes start to get fuzzy.

"Y/N?" Tony's own eyes have started becoming blood shot.

"I'm...fine," you blink to try and clear your vision.

"I've told you my feelings about that word," Loki's voice sounds from your side.

You turn to him, "What are you...?"

"What? And let you two have all of the fun?" Loki takes hold of your elbow now too.

Within seconds, your vision clears and you're able to look around, "Look."

Tony and Loki do as well, "It worked." Tony sighs.

You all watch as Thanos and all of his ships dissolve into sand.

"It's over," you whisper before everything goes dark.

Author's Note: This is the 2nd or 3rd day of being #1 in the 'superhero' category! AND we're less than 700 reads from 100k! One more part (I think) and then an Epilogue!
