Strange Encounters

Author's Note: Hi, all! I'm trying to update this as often as possible, same with the TikTok. As I've said, this is the longest story I've done, and honestly, I'm not even sure if I'd consider this halfway to completion. Maybe? Possibly? If you're sticking it out, thank you! Hope it's living up to whatever expectation(s) you might have x

As the movie finishes, the soundtrack plays behind the credits, with Loki slowly running his hands from your ankle to your knee, "I guess I should be thankful that you have chosen to call me 'Frosty' and not 'Olaf'."

"You do sometimes like to be cuddly like Olaf, so maybe I should change your nickname," you tease in an attempt to hide the immediate affect his hand is having on you.

But your sentence causes his hand to stop, "I do not...'cuddle'."

You swing your legs off of Loki, still in his Jonathan appearance, "Ah, you're right." And then you stand and slowly move to stand in front of Loki before kneeling on both sides of his legs, straddling him, "I usually cuddle with Loki, not Jonathan."

Loki's jaw clenches when he looks from your waist to your eyes, his hands also finding your hips.

Instead of playing into Loki's game, you take his hands and remove them, "Ah, ah, ah. Don't think so. My MATE wouldn't be to happy." You smirk, stand, and start walking backwards to your bedroom door, "Goodnight...Jonathan."

Loki watches you with a smirk the entire way.

Your smirk matches his, until you feel yourself back into something.

Hands lightly hold your elbows, "Jonathan says goodnight, but now it is my turn."

Goosebumps form at your ear, down to your fingers, and you turn around as Loki's arms then snake around your waist, "You're...you're staying, right?"

Loki's now back in his Asgardian look, "With you? Always."

"Good. Because..." you go and sit on your bed. "This bed really hasn't been slept in too much."

A new grin spreads across Loki's face, "Well, do allow me to aid you with...claiming it."

------------------------------------------------------

You try to turn over the following morning, but the weight of Loki's head on your stomach, and hand wrapped completely around the side of you, keeps you in place, "If I remember correctly, you don't like cuddling."

Loki flips his head over to look-up at you, tracing his finger down from your neck to your belly button, "I like YOU."

You laugh, a mixture from his hand movement and choice of words, "You're not so bad yourself."

Then his finger freezes at your hip, "Is that so?"

You lean-up on your elbows, switching your gaze between Loki's face and hand, "Don't stop your hand on my account."

Loki pouts, "My feelings are deeply offended. I can no longer continue."

You slide your legs out from under Loki and get out of bed, "Well then, this has been a grand ol' time, Frosty. I'll see you around."

Loki stands as well, but pulls you tight against him once more, "You are quite stuck with me now, Mate."

You give Loki a quick kiss before walking to the kitchen.

You threw on a shirt, and Loki a pair of sweatpants, but as you walk, Loki's practically glued to you, "If you would like tea, I will need more mobility than this, Loki."

He puts his head on your shoulder and waves his hand, then two steaming mugs appear, "Now we have some time."

As Loki starts kissing your neck, a low hum escapes you, "God, I love it when you do that. It's very handy."

"Mhm," Loki moves your hair to one side, allowing himself access to your ear.

You press your tongue to the roof of your mouth, "I said HANDY, not HANDSY!"

"While the tea cools," Loki spins you around and lifts you onto the island.

You run your hands through the back of Loki's hair, "You are insatiable."

He groans when you give his hair a slight tug, "Only for you, my love." And then his lips claim yours.

------------------------------------------------------

The next day, you and Loki are walking through Central Park, "Don't get me wrong, this look is...very easy to look at, but why are you Jonathan?"

"My...regular appearance is somewhat recognizable, especially here, and not in the best light," Loki's hand never leaves yours.

"Trust me, you look more than fine in any light," you say without any hesitation.

Loki raises an eyebrow at you, "As do you, darling."

You try and hide a blush, realizing you had said that out loud.

Both of you continue walking for a few more minutes, enjoying the nice weather, but more of each other's company and presence.

Central Park has a few people, but the area is not one that gets overly crowded with tourists.

A few feet ahead, you notice someone sitting on one of the benches. You don't pay them any mind, but when you look once more and their eyes meet yours, you feel a pressure start to build in your forehead.

You walking starts to slow, which gets Loki's attention, "Y/N."

You blink a few times, scrunching your eyes shut for a second, and when you look back over, the person is gone.

"Y/N," Loki stops walking and turns you to him. "What is it?"

You shake your head, the remains of the pain going away as well, "N-nothing. Just..." You look back once more to the bench. "There was a man..."

Loki's head whips around, following your gaze, "Where?"

"He's gone now, but there was this...pressure. In my head," you squint as you think. "Like a headache, but...not."

Loki stands in front of you, placing one hand on your head, "And you feel no such thing now?"

"No, but..." you're interrupted by 'Free Falling' playing as a ringtone, immediately indicating that it's Tony calling you.

When you take your phone from your pocket, Loki looks at the name, "You do not have to answer it."

You stare at Tony's name on the called ID, "He wouldn't call without a reason." You sigh, "Tony knows I don't want to speak to him."

"It is your call, Darling," Loki says calmly.

"Literally," your thumb hovers over the accept button before you press it. "What?"

"I know you don't want to talk to me right now, bu..." Tony starts.

"If you have a reason for calling, get to it," you say coldly.

Now Tony sighs, "There's someone at the tower who would like to meet you."

You and Loki exchange a look. You don't know what you expected Tony to say or want, but this was definitely not it, "Who?"

"This is more of an in-person introduction," Tony replies.

"Why do they want to meet me?" your frown deepens.

"It has to do with you being able to see people's memories. They think maybe..." there's a pause on Tony's end. "Look, can you come to the tower? They can explain further."

You're hesitant, but give in, "They get 10 minutes. After that, I'm leaving." You hang-up before Tony can say anything more.
