Doctor Mischief

11:56, 18 December 2022

Author's Note: It's 3am here, so feel free to call me out on any spelling or grammar mistakes lol.

"Thor doesn't take orders from you!" Tony almost laughs.

"Nor do I from you," Thor places the bracelet down, and exchanges a look with you before smashing it into pieces with Mjolnir.

You look down and pick-up a few of the shattered pieces with a satisfied smirk, "Ok, Doctor Mischief. Your turn."

It takes Loki a second to recover from realization of what you've just done, but then he focuses on your stomach, then eye, and finally your nose, "The nose will be the most painful, as it involves the healing of a bone."

You nod, seeing the gears turning in Loki's mind, "Then start there. Worst first."

Loki shifts closer, placing his palm to cover your nose, "My brave, impossible mortal."

Your mouth forms a grin and you move back on the couch to get comfortable, "Ready."

Loki licks his top lip in concentration, "If it becomes too much at any time, let me know immediately. Understood?"

You tilt your head to look at Loki, "Yes."

He takes a deep breath, "Here." Loki takes your hand in his other hand, "Squeeze however tight you need to."

Your fingers mold themselves around Loki's, "Your rating will have 5 stars for bedside manner, Doctor Mischief."

Loki's lip curves into a smile, "At least your attempts at humor have not been affected."

You roll your eyes.

"Alright, starting now," Loki says, and right away, you begin to feel pressure.

Your nose turns cold, more than if you would have put an icepack on it. It's not too bad, until you feel your bones start to mend back together.

"Shit," you grind your teeth together and squeeze Loki's hand.

Loki moves and sits next to you on the couch, "I know, darling. I'm nearly finished." He says so only you hear.

You close your eyes, and within 10 seconds, Loki's done.

When Loki's hand goes to under your eye, your grip loosens, "This one is easier; I promise."

"Good. So now you can let go of Loki's hand," Tony says from about 10 feet away.

You don't even look in his direction, but manage to lift your hand with Loki's and hold your middle finger up.

"See! Y/N does not dislike you! They are saying that you are #1, Stark!" Thor chimes in.

Loki sighs, "How is it that even I know what the meaning is behind that gesture?"

"I do believe that I have given you that gesture once or twice," you wink at Loki. "Plus, you're the God of Mischief, and Thor's...." You pause and think for a second, "Well, more of a Golden Retriever honestly."

That causes a laugh from many around you.

"Did I miss the part where they became friends?" Tony questions to Nat.

"You're getting old, Tony. You're the one who sent them on that mission in the first place," Nat tries to hold back her sarcasm, but fails.

Tony's eyes widen, "They...this started then?!"

"What did you think would happen?" Clint frowns but half-laughs.

"Complete hatred for each other," Tony folds his arms. "Hatred of no return."

Pepper pats Tony on the back, "Yea...I don't think hatred is what came from it."

Finally Tony catches on, "Absolutely not! NO! Y/N is not..." Anyone observing Tony right now, would think that he's solving the hardest Math problem. "They can be friends with ANYONE, but not Lo....!"

"Y/N trusts him," Nat nods to the couch, cutting Tony's rant off.

"Well...I don't!" Tony seethes in defeat.

Meanwhile, Loki healed your eye as well, "Done." He uses his magic to make a mirror appear, "Now you can properly see your favorite person once again."

"Sparker's here?!" you sarcastically reply and look around the room, but the second you turn, your ribs get a sharp pain all throughout.

"Hm. That is what you get," Loki turns you slowly back to how you were. "Now, be a good little mortal and cooperate."

Once again you roll your eyes, as Loki places his hand on your stomach.

"Cooperation included no eye-rolling, Y/N," Loki adjusts his hand.

You do a fake salute, "Yes, my prince. So sorry, your highness." At the conclusion of your words, you notice Loki tense, and when he looks-up from your stomach, back to your gaze, his eyes have dilated ever so slightly.

Loki moves his hand once more, and then his brows furrow.

"What?" you hate that look. It's the expression someone makes when something is wrong.

"I need to..." Loki side-eyes the room. "See...what I am doing."

Your confusion is cleared up when Loki's hand lifts the end of your shirt just a tad. "Hang on," you start rolling it up about 4 inches. "This ok?"

Loki nods sheepishly, lightly putting his hand back in place.

The healing of your bruised ribs takes close to a minute.

Loki's close to finished, when the cold of his healing magic causes a tingle to travel throughout your body to the tips of your fingers, almost feeling like static.

Most of the team has gathered around, intrigued by Loki's powers.

"Why is Loki's hand blue?" Clint leans over.

That brings your attention back from the feeling in your hands, "Oh, that's....just the color of Loki's magic."

A few people nod in satisfaction of your response, and a few seconds later, Loki's hand fades back to normal color, "Alright. Bruce, make sure?"

Banner is almost shocked by Loki asking him to check, but he takes a tablet and holds it over to x-ray your stomach and then nose, "Healed. Completely."

You could literally almost cackle at the look on Banner's face as he stares at the tablet.

Loki stands and holds his hand out to you, "Now stand. Slowly. Just in case."

Because of how much pain you were in before, you actually follow Loki's direction this time.

One of his hands holds your elbow, and the other around your back, but as you stand, there is no pain in your abdomen whatsoever.

"Well? Does Loki have the magic touch?" Nat stands behind Tony, and when you look over his shoulder, a huge grin is plastered on her face.

Loki still faces you, back to Tony, "Yes, Y/N. Do I possess such a touch?"

You wish you could slap the matching look both Nat and Loki share right now.

"Only one way to answer that question," you instead fling yourself onto Loki the rest of the way and hug him.

Loki grips onto you so you don't fall, but then realizes it's a hug.

"Y/N, Loki is not really one for embraces," Thor stifles a laugh of his own.

But then you feel Loki wrap his arms around you, "I can make an exception. YOU, tend to crush the most, you oaf."

Thor gets a smug grin, "Strongest Avenger."

"Uhm, wait a minute. I'm not so sure about that," Banner rejoins the team.

You release from Loki as Thor and Banner start debating, "They're almost as tough to endure as that pain. I'm going to bed!" You call as you start walking, but no one pays too much mind other than a wave.

"Allow me to escort you," Loki sneaks away quickly to your side.
