Heimdall

08:49, 26 November 2022

Author's Note: I actually have time to update this 2 times in one week lol. Ironically, when I finished the last part, I turned on the TV and the first Thor movie was on lol. Genuine question: what is your favorite AND least favorite Marvel films? Favorite for me is Ragnarok, and least favorite is probably Winter Soldier (I know, judge away lol).

Loki freezes, turning to face Thor, "Must you have knowledge of my whereabouts at all times, brother?"

Thor studies Loki for a second, "Is there someone else you would wish to answer to?"

Loki rolls his eyes and turns back around to leave, "Goodbye, Thor."

"Stark, perhaps?" Thor questions with a knowing smirk.

Loki spins on his heel, walking up to Thor, "I do not answer to the Man of Iron! I may be staying in his tower, but he has NO..."

"Wrong Stark, Loki." Thor folds his arms, "Your interaction with his sibling however, is...unique."

Loki's tongue presses to the roof of his mouth, "...I have no idea what you are refer...."

"Oh hush, brother. It may have taken me a while to see it, but do not try to deny...whatever it is between you both," Thor waves his hand as he speaks. When Loki doesn't speak, Thor continues, "You do not have to tell me anything, but at least tell me where it is you are going."

"....Asgard," Loki mumbles.

"To see father?" Thor frowns in confusion.

"Yes. I miss him terribly and am in need of bonding time," he sarcastically replies. "I seek Heimdall's help."

"What about?" the pair starts walking.

"Gods, Thor. As much as I will regret this, simply accompany me," Loki presses the button for the elevator, destination: the roof.

Tony and Bruce were working on something already up there, "And where are you two off to?"

"I already explained that I will NOT be answering to...!" Loki scowls.

"To Asgard. Loki has something he needs to..." Thor tries to prevent Tony being thrown from another floor of his tower.

"Do shut up, brother. Not everyone needs to be aware of my business!" now Loki directs more of his frustration to Thor.

"Wow. Extra snarky today. Someone really needs to get la...." Tony says pressing buttons on one of his machines.

"Trust me when I say that you do not wish to complete that thought, Stark," Thor warns, eyeing Loki.

Suddenly the anger in Loki is replaced by mischief, "Oh, please do let me elaborate on that exact situation."

"No," Thor points and then looks up. "Heimdall!"

Both are beamed into the Bifrost and land on Asgard, "Must you take away all of my fun?" Loki pats down his armor.

"Your....'fun', would probably have Stark throw you in a cell. Again. He would not want to hear of your...escapades with Y/N," Thor's cheeks turn a slight pink.

All humor now drains from Loki's face.

"Actually, I do believe that is where Loki's questions reside," Heimdall's voice joins the conversation.

Thor switches his gaze from Heimdall to Loki, "What haven't you been telling me?"

"Nothing. Go see Odin. Heimdall will call for you when we have finished," Loki brushes Thor's question off.

"I am not leaving. Nice try," Thor walks behind Loki, closer to Heimdall.

"Not that you would ever admit it, but Prince Thor may be of some help," Heimdall's stern expression never falters.

"Take that back right now. I do not require the help of anyone," Loki spits.

"Alright then. I will just be sending you back to Midgard then," Heimdall begins to turn the sword.

"Wait!" Loki's fists clench at his sides in frustration. "Perhaps except...your help." He averts his eyes at his last sentence.

A small smirk grows on Heimdall's face, "Do go on then."

Loki licks his top lip and takes a deep breath, "My...Jotun form has been...activating."

"What? When? I have not seen it," Thor asks with concern.

"Well, I do make it a point to avoid you as often as possible," Loki squints with a grin.

Heimdall ignores the brothers, "How often does this happen?"

Loki turns back to Heimdall, "Only....around Y/N." He looks down and then back up, "Oddly enough...my Frost Giant self quite likes it when things get...heated."

"The arguments?" Thor recalls walking in on both you and Loki that night on the balcony.

"If Odin did not have that conversation with you, brother, I will not be the one explaining the meaning behind my words," Loki scoffs with a hidden laugh.

"When King Odin first brought you to Asgard, I continued my research on the Frost Giants. Give me a moment," Heimdall's eyes turn yellow as he searches his mind and memory.

"Loki," Thor says quietly.

"I am pretending you are not here," Loki stays facing away from Thor.

"Loki," Thor repeats.

Loki groans, "I am NOT having this discussion with you! It's just...I need to make some sense of this." His volume matches Thor's.

Thor slowly starts to approach Loki, "Y/N knows of your Jotun form."

"I knew I would regret you coming along," Loki runs his hand through his hair but then he sighs. "Yes. Y/N knows and has seen it already."

Thor nods, taking-in what Loki said, "You do know that you CAN talk with me, Loki."

"Or you will simply annoy me until I do so," a small smile curls on Loki's face.

Thor pushes Loki's head down, "You know me so well."

"Hm. Unfortunately," Loki and Thor share a laugh as Heimdall comes back.

"It appears your Jotun form....has claimed its mate," the gold/yellow disappears from Heimdall's eyes.

You can hear a pin drop in the Bifrost, "My....what?" Loki's throat is dry.

"You never had any....transformations prior, correct?" Heimdall raises his eyebrows.

"...Not once," Loki looks down at his hands.

"Then the Jotun part of you, has chosen the mate it wishes to have," Heimdall  continues.

Loki stands speechless, 100 different thoughts going through his mind.

"Your skin will also not harm Y/N either, as I'm sure you have realized," at the mention of your name, Loki looks up. "Your bond is already quite strong. I can sense it."

"But I am unable to control my Jotun form in certain...situations," Loki avoids eye contact with Heimdall and Thor.

"That is because your Jotun form yearns to be with Y/N as well. It is PART of you, Loki," Heimdall states as a fact, causing Loki to make a face of disgust. "Does Y/N display any sign of dislike or disapproval of your Frost Giant heritage?"

"No; not in the slightest," Loki folds his arms across his chest.

"Then neither should you," Heimdall pauses between each word. "You must, however, speak with Y/N once you both return from seeing your father."

Loki and Thor nod, "Wait....why Odin?"

"He is requesting your presence in the Throne Room. I believe he just wants a briefing on Loki's time on Midgard," Heimdall returns to his stance.

Loki looks at the opening that would bring them back to Midgard in seconds. Back to you.

"Loki," Thor calls, and they both start the walk to the palace.

Back at the tower, Nat is putting her second earring in, "Come on, Y/N. We need to leave for the party!"

You close your bag with a click, "Yea. Coming. I just thought they'd be back by now." You mentally roll your eyes at how clingy you sound.

"Me too. I would have LOVED to see Tony's reaction to Loki being your date!" Nat winks at you.

You both walk into the main room to meet everyone else, "I think you and Thor are the only ones who have any idea, so just...."

"Idea about what?" Tony's voice sounds, walking-up to you.

"Ideas about...how well Y/N has been doing in training," Nat saves the conversation.

Tony lifts his jacket from one of the couches, "Which I still do not like FYI."

"There's something he probably won't like even more," you say loud enough so only Nat to hear as you join the rest of the group in the elevator down to the limo.
