I'm Not Asgardian

07:56, 15 October 2022

You stare at the target in front of you, the knife having hit it directly. Loki stays in place, his head slowly moving from next to yours, to your shoulder and back, "You are MY mortal. Do you understand?"

The way Loki spoke that in your ear sends a chill down your entire body, but you try to fight your reaction, "....I don't belong to anyone."

Now you feel Loki smirk just under your ear, "You may speak those words, but your body's reaction right now says otherwise, darling."

You inhale a breath before spinning around to face Loki, not backing down, "No."

Loki's smirk doesn't fade, "Oh come now. Let us just kiss and make-up, yes? It would make this so much easier."

He leans in, but you pull and step back in realization, "I bet that line has worked on all of your...partners in the past?" You half ask, half state.

Loki's brows furrow, "What are you tal...?"

You cut him off, "Everyone just...what? Throws themselves at you? Does or agrees to whatever you say or ask?"

That causes Loki's grin to fade, and he stiffens at your tone.

"You...you know more about me than anyone, probably even Tony! Then..." you pause. "Then you kiss me," a sense of heat rushes through you, remembering that night on the balcony. "But then you go and shut me out! And now..." you motion between you with your hands.

"For your own protec...." Loki takes one step to you once more.

"If you say 'protection' one more time!" Instead of backing away, you advance on him as well, "And NOW, you come in here and what? Expect me to just...throw my arms around your neck and pretend like everything is fine?!"

Loki stays silent, not taking his eyes from you and your movement.

"If you expect that, followed by an 'I forgive you, my Asgardian', you've got another thing coming!" you finally conclude.

The air is thick for a few seconds, both of your breathing heavy.

"...and what if I am not Asgardian?" Loki speaks just as you're about to storm out of the training room.

You squint in thought, "I...Thor had said before that you were adopted, but...we just thought from another family in Asgard..."

Loki exhales a laugh, "I'm afraid it is a bit more complicated than that, Y/N."

"I can handle complicated, Loki," you now say in a calmer tone.

Loki sighs, "I know, it's just...." One of Loki's hands makes a fist, while the other runs through his hair.

You notice, "You don't have to tell me anything, Loki; it's ok."

Loki shakes his head, "I do, because..." He looks up at you, "I can no longer control myself around you."

"Would it be easier if I just leave? I do have an apartment away from the tower...." your heart sinks ever so slightly.

Loki starts walking to you, "You could go to the furthest realm from me, and a force much stronger than gravity, would pull me to find you."

You swallow, taken aback by Loki's words, "...and what force would that be?"

"A force...." Loki's jaw clenches, "I have never felt."

Both of you relax for a second, neither of you saying a word, until Loki continues, "Ever since that day in the tower years ago, you have not left my mind."

You look down and pick at your nail, "I am no one important, Loki."

Loki lifts your chin with his thumb and pointer finger, "As much as I have tried to tell myself that exact thing, you have infiltrated my entire being, just as water does a sponge."

When Loki's hand begins to trace your jaw, your hand finds its way to the back of Loki's neck, tracing his hair line in tandem, "If I do this," you give his hair a light tug, "Will it get me out of you, just like a sponge being wrung of water?"

You smirk as Loki backs you into one of the walls, "I do not wish to be rid of you, Y/N."

Your hand has moved to Loki's shoulder, and one of his arms rests on the wall next to your head.

"This form I am currently in, wants you," Loki's face moves next to your ear for the second time today.

As he does, your hand slides down to the middle of his chest.

"But my...natural form," Loki pauses, "Craves you." He leans back up and looks into your eyes, "Aches for you."

Your hands instinctively tighten in Loki's shirt at the growl in his voice, as your eyes slowly work their way up to meet Loki's.

Loki's other hand, moves from your waist, up to behind your head as he speaks, "I am losing all control over that form, and that has never been an issue."

One of Loki's legs goes between yours, which causes you to pull Loki down to where your lips hover over his, "...Show me." You whisper, as Loki's lips barely touch yours, "Lose control."

Loki's eyes dilate at your words, and just when you're about to give-in and kiss him completely, Loki steps back as his eyes turn a shade of red.
