The One with Information

Author's Note: Hi! Trying to currently process how there are over 730 of you who follow me. It continually blows my mind. I can only hope these stories have/are living up to your expectations. As always, continue to comment your thoughts during and after the chapter :) I LOVE reading them x

Days later, you and Pepper are sitting in the main room when Happy comes running in.

"Well, that's not a good sign," Pepper says shifting on the couch a bit.

Happy picks up the remote and turns the news on, "Neither is this."

The feed switches to Tony fighting the Hulk, destroying much of the town of Johannesburg.

"This is far from good. I don't know how this will..." Happy taps the remote on his palm.

"The Avengers that are supposed to be defending the world, are now starting to destroy it, as you just saw in that footage from a few moments ago," the reporter explains.

An incoming call from Tony appears on the screen, replacing the news feed, "This looks bad, I know."

Happy walks closer to the hologram of Tony, "I just held a press conference, Tony! I can't keep doing this!"

"I know," Tony repeats and sighs. "The team and I are going to lay low a bit. We should be back in a week or so."

"Everyone is ok?" You ask, now standing next to Pepper.

"As much as we can be. This isn't over though unfortunately. I'll be in touch," Tony says before hanging up.

You, Pepper, and Happy keep in touch with Tony for nearly two weeks, but you do not physically see any of the team until they arrive back from Seoul, carrying a giant case, which Tony and Bruce call the Regeneration Cradle.

Meanwhile, Thor had gone to visit Loki back on Asgard, who currently resides in a cell.

"Have you come to gloat?" Loki asks without looking at Thor, as he sits against one of the walls.

"I will have ample time to do just that; I've struck a deal with father," Thor says with his hands folded behind his back, approaching Loki's cell.

"Congratulations, brother. Of what interest is that to me?" the sarcasm is like honey rolling off of Loki's tongue.

"The deal involves your freedom, Loki."

That earns a laugh from Loki, "Odin would never agree to that, but do enlighten me. I'm listening."

Thor takes the final step, so he's standing at the magical, gold-wall of the cell, "My friends on Midgard are in possession of the Mind Stone."

Loki's head now tilts with more intrigue, but it is accompanied by a shiver that goes unnoticed by Thor.

"You have they key information in regards to it, so I have bargained for your aid. You will join me in helping the Avengers," Thor explains, ensuring to add that Loki has no say in the matter.

Now Loki laughs even harder, "Yes, and the Man of Iron is planning a welcoming party in my honor as we speak."

"Would you rather rot in this cell for the remainder of your days?!" there's anger in Thor's voice.

Loki's jaw clenches, "Both options are equally despicable."

Thor turns to leave Loki in the cells, "Then so be it."

"Wait!" Loki calls out, grinding his teeth. Thor slowly turns around, and Loki sighs, "Fine. When do we leave?"

A smile grows on Thor's face as he begins to unlock Loki's cell.

Thor and Loki are in the elevator of Stark Tower, "Power-limiters? Do you truly think so little of me?" 

"At least they are gold; you like gold," Thor's lips curl into a smirk.

"Right now I do NOT like you," Loki mumbles, flexing his fingers on the hand with the bracelet attached to his wrist.

Thor pats Loki on the back, "Which implies that you liked me prior to this, so thank you, brother."

The elevator dings to a stop, "Correction. Right now, I DESPISE you."

"I love you as well. Now come," Thor drags Loki out of the elevator by his wrist.

Discussion amongst the team in the main room stops immediately when they enter.

"See? Their excitement has left them speechless," Thor smiles at Loki.

"Yes. Unfortunately though, the confetti blasters for your entrance were on backorder," Tony says walking from the bar with a drink.

Loki tries to step towards Tony, but Thor stands in between, "Stark." Thor warns.

Tony waves his arm, "I'm just poking fun. Can I get you a drink? Lord knows I will need more than one."

You walk by and take Tony's newly poured drink so you can have a sip, "Nat still has you beat." You look and swish the liquid around in the glass, "How do you even drink this?" You make a disgusted face.

"Give me that!" Tony snatches the drink back. "Do you mind?"

"Not at all; thanks for the sip," you wink at Tony.

"Y/N!" Thor's voice booms to you, and he suddenly takes your arm, dragging you along. "Come meet my brother!"

Your eyes meet before you even get there, recognition of one another flooding through both of you.

Loki watches you approach with Thor, but drops his gaze when you're right in front of him.

"Loki," Thor taps Loki's arm. "We are of Asgard; show your manners."

Loki slowly lifts his head, meeting your eyes.

"Nice to meet you, Loki," you reach out your hand.

Loki squints down at you in confusion for a second, but then holds his hand out as well and shakes yours.

Thor sighs, "Do not mind Loki, Y/N. He will speak to everyone eventually."

You shrug, "Maybe he just needs someone to hold him against a wall."

That causes Loki's eyes to dart back to yours, with a glare that almost has a 'try me' look to it. 

"Ok, that's enough here," Tony comes up to you, Thor, and Loki. "Go meet Wanda and Pietro," Tony instructs. 

You roll your eyes, "I'll see you both later. Hammerhead." You turn to Thor and then Loki, "Smiley." And you head off.

"You two will get along just fine. You do need to work on your first impressions though, brother," Thor says once you're out of earshot.

"You are quite lucky that my powers are limited right now," Loki scowls.

Tony turns back to Thor, "Alright. Not that I don't trust your Asgard...tech, if you could even call it that, I have a power-limiter of my own that I need Reindeer Games to wear." Tony takes one from his pocket.

"Fine," Thor says before unlocking the one around Loki's wrist, allowing him a moment of freedom before Tony locks the new one in place less than 10 seconds later.
