Chapter 12

"Good morning Sir. Your breakfast is ready on the dining table"

One of the maids said as I walked down the stairs, fixing the coat of my uniform. I nod at her and smile before I walk towards the dining area to sit and start eating.

We don't have that many house helpers but at least there are still single people that can stay with me throughout the time, possibly every single day.

After my mom passed away a year ago, she left me with the helpers. She actually wants her sister to stay with me here while she's in the hospital, taking her therapies and medications but good thing we discover that her sister only wants her money. The helpers found out what happened to me every time I was left with that lady when I was young.

Don't worry, I'm not being abused or hurt physically by my aunt and her husband but I still experience those cold nights outside our own home, getting less food and coming to school with nothing inside my pocket, even my tummy is empty. They will just give me food less than I usually eat, it's actually like a few tiny bite size things and no more. Good thing I met Nunu back then and helped me a lot then Yim came too. Both of them make my worst days the best and I'm always thankful for meeting them and having them since then and now.

After my mom knew everything that I had been through, she cut her connections with her sister. My mom loves her so much but the odd one never saw her as her real sister, it's because my mom is adopted by her family and her life has become miserable because of that family ever since her sister came. But my mom just does things she can to raise herself and get everything we have now. She's the toughest person I have ever known. That's why I'm so proud of her and that's why I stand firm and tough before and after she left me.

You must be thinking why am i only talking about my mom and not my-

It's because-

*Kriiiing kriiiing*

The telephone ring and that made me look at it that was placed not so far from the side door of the dining area. One of our helpers walked towards it and picked up the call.

"Yes, Hello? Uareksit Residence, Who's this? OH- S- Okay. Yes sir, he's here. Okay sir. I'll give him the phone."

I look at her with a confused look.

"Sir, he wants to talk to you."

"Is it--"

The maid didn't answer anymore but just gave ne the phone and left.

I sigh deeply before answering.

"Hello?"

"Finally, Nat! You answered. I've been calling your phone but you never answer. How are you son?"

"I'm not-- I'm not your son anymore "

"Nat, do we need to argue about this again?"

"I don't want to. And i don't want to talk to you. Can you just leave me alone!"

"I can't after your mom died--"

"After she died what? What now? You never came. Even look for her inside the emergency room you never do. You never care-"

"That's not true."

"It is! Ever since you left us, we asked you to go back to us but you didn't, now that we never ask you to comeback you are coming back. Please just stay on where you are and forget about me!"

"Son, I can't just let you live alone-"

"I'm not alone, i have my friends, the helpers they are my family. They are more likely my own parent than you!"

"Nat---*tooot *toooot *toooot"

When i say may last words i immediately drop the call.

"Nat~"

A familiar soft voice from a woman called me from behind.

"Nana Mary"

I said in low voice tone. She walk towards me and held my chin before wrapping her arms around me and start stroking my hair.

"It's okay baby, you can take your time. We will always be here."

I hugged her back and i just found out that I've been crying since i ended the call.

Nana Mary is the head helper of our house, she has become my second mom ever since my mom passed away. She treats me like her real son but still puts boundaries as she still thinks about her position and I am as her young master.

But nevertheless, her family treat me nice and take care of me ever since and i really found comfort from them. That's why i don't need any other person except my friends, Yim and especially Nunew and the people here in our house to enter my life again.

It's not that I'm a loner or hopeless person. Since I've been the most quiet person in the three of us, you can tell I'm an introvert but just so you know i can still be friends with other people but not as close as I am with Yim and Nunew.

Anyway, moved on. I don't need that guy in my life, he never cared about me and my mom. He's a liar, a cheater, a bad guy, a bad father...

I can understand if only he just cheated on my mom but...

He cheated on someone,

his first and legal wife...

Using my mom, without her knowing.

And it breaks my heart every time i remember how his first wife slapped my mom in the face, how his first wife black mailing my mom and says it will ruin her reputation and our life.

**Flashback

"Take your hand out of my mom!" I said and the girl just shove my small hands around my mom and shoo me away.

"This is what a mistress like you deserves. A home wrecker!"  Her words while hitting my mom with her bag, looks like expensive.

"Noooo!! Stop hurting my mom!"  I said and about to protect her but one kid stood in front of me and held me,

"This is the old people's fight, we can't just interfere. Let them handle their problems. You'll get hurt if you interfere "

the kid said and wrapped his arms around me and try to cover my ears with his two buns of bread.

I looked at him with teary eyes and he smiled at me in return Then I couldn't remember what happened next, All I knew was that I cried nonstop until my mom came to hug me.

That's why my mom started living alone with me, far from the people who will hurt me, but it's too late...

She died because of cancer and we are too late to revive her, she was suffering all this time while protecting me and since i was just a little child, she did everything for me and set aside her needs. That's why i really love her.

She gave everything I needed and even now that she's far away from me, i can still feel the love surrounding me with such nice and lovely people.

**End of flashbacks

" Don't forget the food i prepare for you, i already made one each for Nunew and Yim." She said smiling at me.

"Thank you so much Nana, they really missed your cooking " i said, smiling widely.

"They missed the food i made but not me, hmp"Nana said and acted like she was sulking.

"Ofcourse they missed you too." I said pouting

"Hmmm really?"  She looks at me,

I nod.

"Then tell them i missed them too and visit here so i can cook for all of you."

"I will Nana. Then i have to go now, i might be late if i gossip with you here for more hours."

"Okay okay, take care okay. Don't forget to eat."

"Yes Nana!"

I said as i was picking up my bag and started leaving our house and driving to school.

A/N: Hi!! Sorry for the short update. It's been a while since i started writing again. And honestly i plan to discontinue this one cause I'm having burn outs, anxiety and writer's blocks and can't write for long months. Plus i didn't get a chance to meet cutipie casts fanmeeting here in my country cause of some reasons, so i really don't have the strength to continue and also i lost track in dmd family but I'm happy seeing them growing with new gens.
