«15» RESCUING NARUTO!

Boruto woke up from his sleep. He was laying down on a hospital bed. "Dad?..."

"Boruto, you're awake!" Sarada exclaimed as Mitsuki turned to his direction.

The Uzumaki stayed silent, he turned to his side seeing a slumbering Yamanaka.

"She's just sleeping." Sarada mentioned. Boruto wasn't convinced enough as he saw scratched and bruises on Inomi's face.

Even Sarada noticed the scars on their Former Sensei's cheeks. "She was there to protect us from the Explosion, but eventually she almost failed and got hit by it..."

"Everyone's been transported here, Nanadaime has protected us all..." Mitsuki stated. The Uzumaki immediately got out of his bed when he heard his sister's voice.

"Himawari?!" He ran to the other side. There, he saw Himawari, Sakura, and Hinata who was lying down slightly unconscious.

"Hang in there Hinata!"

"It's me, Mama! Can you tell?"

The Uzumaki approached them in worry. Sakura turned to him with a determined look. "Don't worry Boruto, she'll be okay.."

"What happened to you mom?!" Boruto asked desperately. The Haruno-Uchiha kept her lips sealed before speaking up.

"She faced off against them.."

"What?!"

"... To try to stop them from taking Naruto.." Sakura frowned as she ended her explanation. Boruto looked horrified, trying to remember the events that happened.

"DAD!"

"Stupid Otsutsukis..." Inomi woke up, followed by a headache. She grunted in pain as Sarada went to her aid. "Inomi! You're already awake!"

She slowly stood up from her seat and turned to an empty bed. "He left... Didn't he?"

"He left just then.. he's probably upset." Mitsuki stated, Sarada nodded in agreement. Inomi sighed and started to walk towards the exit.

"You're still bruised Inomi, are you sure you'll go after him?" The Uchiha asked thoughtfully. Inomi nodded with a serious face.

"I don't want a student of mine to be a burden..." She said but Sarada protested.

"Dad would be mad at you for hurting yourself more, didn't he tell you to stay back?" She asked her with teary eyes. The Yamanaka wasn't going to fall for her words.

"I'm doing what I need to do Sarada, just let me do what I want to do." The Half-and-half girl pulled her arm away from Sarada's hand.

The door closed shut as Inomi venture to find the Uzumaki.

"When I was child Inomi, you were sort of like me." Naruto stated as he grinned. The young Yamanaka grew a horn from her forehead and tilted her head. "Are you for real Naruto-San?"

"Mhm, I was an outcast.. everyone hated me because I was some sort of monster but the good thing is I didn't know about Kurama yet!" He awkwardly grin while the Yamanaka just blinked at him. "Well you aren't an outcast at all but everyone hated how Toneri tried to destroyed our village right?"

"I don't think that's a good thing Naruto-San..?" She stated slowly with a frown on her face. He deadpanned at her response.

"Maybe I just made it worse..." He thought while scratching his neck.

"Hm?"

"A-Anyways! I've become stronger and better as I grew. I learned how to fight with Kurama's powers and... People loved me when I defended Konoha towards a Villain!" He continued his story with his own life. Inomi pouted and looked at her side while swinging legs.

"Does that mean... People only liked you because of what you did? Not even bothering that... They hated you at the first place?" She quietly asked, fiddling her fingers in embarrassment.

"That's not what I mea--"

"Do they... Only care about Titles? My Papa said that he was called as a Bad Shinobi just because he was part of ROOT. While would anyone judge you before not knowing you in the first place?"

Naruto was too shock to hear her. He patted her head before smiling at her. "Well, you're right Inomi. I didn't even realized that in the first place."

"....But I'm just reminding you that... Get close with someone people hates if you know what I mean? Spend time with him, learn a lot from him... The Otsutsuki controlling you will help you reach your goal. You'll never know when he'll leave you... Y'know?" He lifted her in his big arms with a smile on his face.

She giggled and touched his cheeks with whisker marks. "Got it, Future Hokage!"

"Naruto..." She whispered under her breathe. Stopping near the Hallway towards the Hokage's office.

"You're worried about him, huh? Didn't expect that coming from you." Sasuke smirked and used Inomi to balance himself. She nodded with a sad smile on her face.

"It's just.... I learned a lot of things from him as much as I learned from you. He was always there.. and I miss him.." She muttered while sobbing. Naruto was a great father figure, she didn't want him to be gone, just yet.

"The Others are here, we have to find Boruto." Sasuke and Inomi turned to see all the Leaders of each Nation behind them. She smiled and nodded at Sasuke. "Let's go."

"... I'm totally lame..." The Uzumaki chuckled by himself, looking at the Mirror. He was wearing Naruto's old Jacket when he was still a kid.

"You've got that right." The Uchiha responded, leaning at the entrance. Boruto turned to him in shock. "Sasuke!"

"That's not nice of you Sasuke-San." Inomi playfully slapped his shoulder and flickered near the Hokage's table.

"Inomi-Sensei!"

"Hmm? You've got some explaining to do.. I believe Sasuke is right though, you're pretty lame." She blandly responded while sitting at the desk behind her.

"Your fraud was exposed, you were scorned even stripped off your headband.. you can't call yourself a Shinobi anymore." Sasuke stated while approaching him, but not even glancing at the Uzumaki.

"And you lost your father on top of that." He harshly ended his conclusions which hit Boruto hard like someone just threw a rock at him.

"Such circumstances to Naruto's long ago... Except you still have your mother and sister." Inomi sarcastically giggled while pressing her fingers on her lips.

"My dad..." Boruto started. Sasuke looked at him with furrowed eyebrows. "So what did he do... At times like this?.."

"Seems you finally want to learn more than just his weaknesses." Sasuke responded blankly. "Well you should just ask him yourself, after we rescued him."

Boruto sweatdropped before gasping in realization. "Dad... Is okay?!"

"Of course idiot, Sasuke can sense his chakra as far as possible. Well, he isn't in a good state.." Inomi shrugged, magically eating a lollipop out of nowhere. Boruto raised his eyebrows at her. "How do you know that he's alive.... But not fine?!"

"She can feel his pain whenever she sends a spirit inside the Nine-tails. You can't really blame her on why she's worried." Sasuke explained, much more about Inomi's abilities.

The Uzumaki was amazed to hear that from Sasuke, he knows his students very well.

"Why are you... Bothering me so much?" Boruto asked all of a sudden, after a long minute of silence. Sasuke and Inomi turned to each other before nodding together.

"Well aren't you his number one student? As well as mine, of course." She giggled while nudging the Uchiha on his hip.

"Boruto, you're really a strong Shinobi.. if you put your heart and mind into it.." She held his hands tight with a warm gentle smile, that Boruto liked so much.

"Someday you'll surpass Naruto, even Sasuke.. believe in yourself!" She exclaimed. Sasuke glared at her before huffing in annoyance.

"Thanks for the pep talk but... That's laying it on a bit thick." Boruto stated while chuckling.

"But you will." Sasuke agreed to Inomi's statement. "You're his son, and I'll be training you."

"And besides, you're an even bigger buffoon than him."

"Huh? Buffoon?" Boruto asked in confusion. Inomi rubbed her head before shaking it once again. "What Sasuke means is that, you hate failure."

"If you're gonna go rescue the Hokage then.. let us lend a hand woulja?" The Raikage joked, joining their conversation together with the others.

"The Five Kage?!--" Boruto mumbled in shock as he turned to them.

"Our sworn friend's been kidnapped, standing around would disgrace the Five Kage's name." Chojuro stated, showing his sharp teeth with a smirk.

Kurotsuchi stepped in with a grin on her face. "Let's make this guys regret turning us into enemies!"

"Now that's more like it.. I like her!" Inomi stated while looking at the Tsuchikage. Gaara geniunely smiled due to Inomi's admiration.

"LET'S SAVE THE HOKAGE!"

All of them were standing on top of the Hokage tower. Sasuke began to activate his Rinnegan, summoning a big portal that leads them towards the Dimension where Naruto is.

"We'll use this to get there, but I can only take a limited number with me." Sasuke explained towards the Nara behind him.

"Given our current battle strength, I think this is still the best crew." Shikamaru suggested as they entered the portal one by one. "Bring Naruto back!"

Mitsuki, Sarada, Sakura and Hinata approached them. The Hyuga was still in a weakened state, thankfully Sakura was carrying her side.

"Mom!"

"Boruto..."

The Uzumaki took a headband from his jacket and slowly tied it on his forehead. Hinata was stunned to see.... Naruto in Boruto's image.

"I'm going with them!" He told his mother who nodded at him with a warm smile. "I'll leave your father in your hands Boruto!"

"Yup!"

It was Inomi's turn to enter the portal, but she was interrupted by Sasuke tapping her shoulder.

"Look behind you."

She turned to see Inojin and Shikadai with worried looks. Mostly Her Twin, he was about to burst in tears seeing his own sister go somewhere far again.

"There's still time, go after them." Sasuke stated as Inomi brightened up while whispering 'thank you' to him.

The Yamanaka immediately ran to hug her twin. Inojin was frowning while holding her tight. "Stay safe please, I don't wanna lose you again!..."

"...I will Ji-nii, for the sake of our Hokage." She replied as she pulled away from him. She turned to the Nara who was staring at her in awe.

"Well?"

"Oh I...." He hesitated to respond. He looked at his father who just smirked at him.

As much as I love you dad, you're just making this look like a drag.

"Just come back alive okay? I don't want to here your brother cry.."He joked while scratching the back of his neck. She giggled before punching his shoulder.

"I will, but I'm leaving now--"

"Wait..." He gripped in her wrist gently before turning flustered at the thought of holding her arm. "Please come back for us... For me.."

"Oh?" She blurted out as her face tinted pink. Well, the Nara's situation was even worse, he was turning bright pink.

When no one was looking, she turned to him with a smirk and pulled him closer to her face.

"I will, don't worry Pineapple." With that, she gave him a sweet kiss on his left cheek. His ears turned red as he softly hummed in amusement, for a girl who's hardworking as her, she really has tender lips.

I can't believe... The girl I like is kissing me! What a drag...

"I'll be going now, bye bye!" She waved them goodbye as Inojin widened his eyes and fainted from the scene. Shikadai sighed and carried him in his arms.

She approached Sasuke with a smile on her face. He furrowed his eyebrows, suspicious about her behaviour earlier. "What was that about?"

"Nothing~Let's go now, Sensei!" She cooed while walking towards the portal.

"Hmph." The Uchiha smirked before following her behind.
