Author's note: The Final Tip

Hi everyone!

I opened Wattpad after ages, just to see that people are still reading what I wrote years ago. That's flattering, of course, and I thank you all for your time.

I wrote these tips when I thought I knew a lot about writing and a lot about fanfiction. It turns out I don't know too much about anything at all, but I'll keep these up for anyone who wants to avoid cliches and understand of my frustration with One Direction fanfiction. 

That is to say, please take these tips with a pinch of salt. There are no perfect rules which must be followed while writing. So here is my final tip: keep writing, because that's the only thing that's actually going to make you a good writer.

I cannot stress this enough.

Keep. Writing.

There will come times when you need to take time off and work on exams or school work or other pesky things in life which get in the way, but do your best to come back to writing. Set a time for yourself within which you will come back (a month, two months, three months, maybe?) and stick to it. Time slips away and before you know it, your writing's all rusty and everything you've written sounds wrong.

So keep writing! I believe in you! And all your fanfiction!
