Song: Cold - Aqualung

'How are you really honestly doing?' Loki asks Sydney as they're laying in bed.

'I'm doing alright...I still have some scars and bruises but I'm healing...'

'You know that's not what I meant...'

'I'm doing Fine Loki...' She says as she completely lays down.

'I can sense when you're lying...' he says and she lays on her side, her back facing him.

'I'm fine, now can we go to sleep...' she says a bit annoyed.

'Sydney....' Loki says laying down too.

'Not now...I'm tired...we'll discuss this in the morning..'

'This is not something you need to discuss...you need to tell me...' he says looking at her back.

She can feel his eyes burning and she tries to ignore it.

She hasn't been fine, she knows what will happen and she's afraid they might both end up dead.

'You're afraid...' he says and she sighs.

'So I'm right...'

'I didn't even say anything...' she says and turns to Loki.

'I know when I'm right...'

'And still you ask if you were...can you just let it be until tomorrow...' she says and turns around again.

Loki kisses her neck and she shivers.

'If you're scared just tell me, and I'll take that fear away from you...'

'You sound like a poet...'

'I wasn't trying but thank you anyway...but I'm serious..'

'So am I...'

'Don't make me do it Sydney...'

'I'm not making you do anything...not now anyway...' Sydney says turning her head back to Loki.

He puts his finger on her forehead and he finally sees everything she saw.

'Syd...why didn't you tell me...' he says sitting up straight.

'Maybe because I can't get it out of my throat...'

'You can tell me everything you know that...'

'I know, I just...I can't lose you again, I can't keep doing this over and over again...I'm tired...'

'Well maybe I should help you sleep...' he says and gives her a kiss on her cheek.

She closes her eyes as he does and she sighs and turns her back to him.

He kisses her neck and her arm.

She smirks and she turns back to him and kisses him.

'Let's make this night one to remember...' Sydney says.

-

The sunlight enters Loki and Sydney's room and Loki is still sleeping.

Sydney takes one last look at her husband laying in bed.

She sees the sun rays getting into the room, slowly crawling up to the bed.

She wipes away a tear and breathes in. She nods and walks away.

Loki slowly wakes up from the sun shining into his eyes and he looks around the room.

'Sydney?' He slowly says.

'Are you there?' He says and he sees a handwritten letter on the bed.

It's laying on the place where Sydney should be laying.

Loki,

You know I love you very much and I also know that you're going to come after me.

But don't, please.

Last night I realised something, and that is that I can't live in a world where you might be harmed in any way possible.

I can't imagine what he will do to this world, I saw what he's capable of and I don't want anyone to get hurt.

So I decided I will give you a head start, it will probably be the last thing I do, but if it helps, then so be it.

He's here, before I go after Thanos, I'll leave the coordinates on Fury's desk.

I love you, you know that right?, And I always will,

Sydney.

Ps, Good luck fighting him, I know you can do it. Don't let him harm those people.

And as he reads the words "I love you, you know that right?" , he hears a loud bang and he rushes to the window.

A wave of fire blasts against the windows and he feels something dying inside of him, like a part of him is missing.

'NOOOO!' Loki screams in agony.

He gets angry and the furniture in the room moves.

One of the table's legs stands on top of the letter, ripping it apart.

The only sentence remaining unripped,

"I love you, you know that right?"
