I didn't pay any attention to the teacher who explained the new materials that we were about to learn. I didn't hear her voice asking questions nor the students voices answering them. All my attention was focused on Kacchan, or rather, on the orange light that illuminated him again.
Why did it have to appear again? Just when I wanted to focus on class.
Well, at least now I know I didn't imagine it.
I rubbed my eyes and looked at him again.Yup, that's definitely not a dream.
I looked back on the board, trying to avoid looking at Kacchan. But then an extension of the light had started to fly around the class. When it got to the middle of the board it stopped then started to fly around the teacher in circles, making it looks like Kacchan had a long orange rope who captured the her.But she didn't seem to notice.Nobody seem to notice, not even Kacchan. Just me.
It felt as is the light had a life of it's own. He kept playing around, crawling on the students tables, filling the class with moving orange ropes. It felt as if it wanted me to look at him. It wanted to catch my attention. But why?
Maybe an evil spirit had taken over Kacchan?Or maybe it's something else and I'm just a paranoid who read to many fantasy books?
While I was thinking about all the possible explanations, the orange light had already come close to me. It stopped right in front of me, only few centimeters away.
But before I could figure out what exactly was going on, the sound of the bell filled the classroom and the teacher had ended the lesson. The orange light was gone.
I sighed, maybe It's nothing. Nobody else can see it, so maybe- just maybe, I'm imagining it all.
But no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't convince myself that it was the case. I have always liked the dreamy part of me, it was fun to sit down in a silent place and dream about things that will probably never happen. But this time... this time it was different. I wasn't dreaming, I couldn't control it. It felt... real. I could almost feel the orange-light-rope touching my skin. I-
"Come on! I'm hungry! Let's go to the cafeteria!" Uraraka's voice pulled me out of my thoughts. "Oh, yeah we should go" I said quickly as I stood up and we both waited for Iida to join us.The thought about food was enough to make me forget all about the orange light.
Well... at least for a short time.
Bakugo POV
Lunch time was about to end, but it didn't mattered to me. All I wanted was the last hours of school to end so I could go home. But that was exactly why the time had to move slowly. Really slowly.Like a turtle with broken legs. I sigh and closed my eyes, listening to the conversations that took place around me. They were boring.
But it's not like I had something better to do.
I decided to let my mind travel out of the school, to let him skip 13 days to the future and imagine how the sport festival will be. Imagine the exact moment when I will win there.
Oh man... I need to be training right now, not standing like an idiot in the middle of the school hallway.
That was what I said to myself as I opened my eyes slowly just in time to see Deku.
"What the fuck is wrong with him?" I asked suddenly. Kirishima who stood beside me, looked at the direction I was looking at and replied; "Hmm..? What are you talking about?""You don't see it?" "See what?" He asked again, narrowed his eyes and frowned, his face full of confusion."Deku"."I don't see anything wrong with him" he told me and looked at me as if I was crazy. But I wasn't. At least that was what I thought.
Deku was talking with his friends, I saw him smiling and laughing over something that Iida said, even though they were too far away from me so I couldn't hear them.
But even though his smiling face somehow made me mad, it wasn't what caught my attention.
Deku was green.Well, not exactly green, his skin was in his normal color and his clothes too.But he had a strange green light around him. The light enveloped him, and it was amazingly bright as if it was trying hard to make people notice his presence. But no one saw it, or at least didn't show the fact that he saw. Everyone acted normal, even the weird-green-glowing Deku himself didn't seem to notice.
I was lost deep in my thoughts when Deku looked around him and his eyes landed on me. He was probably surprised at the fact I was staring at him because he looked down immediately, his cheeks a little bit red.
Stupid nerd.
I turned around and started walking back to class, leaving a very confused Kirishima behind me.
Why do I care about him anyway?
