Chapter 9✔

08:54, 6 October 2021

We ended up taking Tony's limo to the mall, it was rather uneventful going, other than Peter ranting about some comic book written about his super hero. Someone named Stan Lee had started making comic's out of the hero's of the Avengers and that excited Peter. I just stared out the window as we went.

Once we got to the mall, Peter ran off to his comic book store, and Wanda grabbed my hand and started to drag Nat and I off to some dressy store. It was awful. So much pink and glitter. I didn't take Wanda or Nat for this kind of stuff and apparently I was right since Nat was snickering at Wanda who was making fun of some ballgown covered in bows and such. It was dreadful looking. I laughed with her.

"Did Bucky give you a hint of how to dress?" Natasha asked, picking up a silky red dress that looked like it belong to Jessica Rabbit.

"Uh.. He said Cinderella like." I told her, Wanda squealed at my response.

"He's getting Tony to throw a ball!! So we need ballgowns. You need to make sure to stand out, Cinderella." She teased, looking through some glittery looking dresses. I watched as Wanda pulled a few white dresses which made Nat laugh at my scrunched up nose.

"I'm not wearing white on my wedding day, why would I wear white now?" I muttered. Nat raised an eyebrow at me.

"Been thinking about your wedding day?" She asked with a smirk of amusement. Wanda laughed and put the dresses back.

"No! I was more than happy just being fuck buddys with Bucky." I remarked. Nat and Wanda both snapped their gazes at me.

"You guys are having sex?!" Wanda exclaimed, rather loudly. I glanced around noticing the store cashier glaring at me.

"Shh!" I said, grabbing her and yanking her towards me. "Don't announce it to the world!" I snapped. Nat laughed.

"What about this, Cindy?" I rolled my eyes at her new nickname for me before looking at the ballgown she had pulled.

"No." I immediately vetoed. The dress was a mixture of shades of blue and sparkles. It was really pretty...If you cut the poufy sleeves off of it.

"This is soo pretty!" Wanda said, pulling a rose blush kind of pink dress out. It was gorgeous. But I am not wearing pink. I shook my head at her.

"Pink isn't my color." I told her which made her pout. Nat had a dress out that was lilac. I glared at her. "I'm not going to a 90's prom." I remarked.

Wanda snorted at my comment. The dress just looked like something that I would have worn to prom back in the 90s. The lace detail was childish and not made for a grown woman.

I heard Wanda laughing as I heard Peter enter the store with a bag of comics I'm guessing.

"No luck?" He questioned as he walked over to us. Nat rolled her eyes as I shook my head.

"I'm not a dress kind of girl." I explained and then turned to Nat and Wanda, "Can't I just wear like a nice suit? It's the modern age, a lot of women are wearing suits and looking like absolute goddess'." I tried. Nat shook her head at me with an unamused look.

"You're Cinderella, not Ellen DeGeneres." Wanda told me with an equally unamused tone. I sighed and rolled my eyes as I look over to Peter who was picking through dresses, skimming over what he could find. He picked up a dress, holding it up to me and we all giggled.

"Peter, I'm not a elven princess needing saved from the Great Warlock leader Garuk." I snorted. Peter blushed and Nat started to laugh.

"Oh my god, Bucky likes a nerd." She snorted. Wanda placed her hand to her mouth, hiding her giggles. I blushed and turned to glare at her.

"I am not a nerd." I snapped. That just made them laugh more.

"Why don't you just try some dresses on?" Peter piped up. I looked at him with a look of terror, shaking my head no. But it was too late. Nat had grabbed me and started to shove me into a changing room as Wanda squealed and started to grab some pretty and some awful looking dresses.

"Try on EVERYTHING" Nat ordered me. She had a glare that told me not to disobey. If I was gay, I would have totally pulled her into this room with me. But sadly, I'm straighter than a uncooked spaghetti noodle.

"Yes Ma'am" I remarked in a snippy tone. She laughed and winked at me as she closed the door and dresses started to fly over the top of the door. I grabbed one dress and laughed at the design. Yanking it on was a challenge but I did it so I didn't get killed by Natasha.

As I walked out of the changing room I twirled.

"Should I Bibbidi Boppidi Boo you for picking this?" I laughed as Wanda lost it.

"It does look like something Fairygod mother would wear. Just add some pink to it." Peter chipped in with his remark, small laughs leaving his mouth. I smiled at him and looked to see Natasha smirking.

"Wanted to make sure you listened to me." She told me. I rolled my eyes and went back into the changing room, taking the dress off as soon as the door shut.

"PETER!! I am seriously not an Elven Princess!" I yelled at him playfully as I came out in the next dress that was green tinted and covered in flowers. I twirled and played with the skirt a bit for them. Peter was blushing.

"I was just curious how it would look." He muttered, embarrassed.

"I like it." Wanda admitted.

"Well you get it then. I'm Cinderella, not a legit princess." I said sarcastically. Nat smirked.

"Try the next one then." She told me. I went back into the room and changed as quick as I could. I laughed at how much this dress looked like Cinderella. I came out and twirled around a bit.

"Cinderella enough for you?" Nat asked. I shrugged.

"It's pretty, but-"

"Not dramatic enough!" Wanda exclaimed dramatically. We all laughed at her as Peter reappeared.

"What about this one?" He asked, handing me a red and white dress. I looked at it for a second before going back into the changing room. Changing quickly, I looked down at it. It was White but looked like it was bleeding red. Off the shoulder sleeves. Red lace staining the white. It was beautiful. I smiled. Taking it off, I got redressed and left the room with it in my arms. Natasha was in front of me in seconds.

"We don't get to see it?" I shook my head at her.

"Nope. It'll be a secret." I told her. This made her smile, Wanda whined a little.

"I was having so much fun though! We never get to just go out like this." She complained.

"We don't have to go yet.." I trailed off, trying to think of what we could do. Peter put his phone away as he spoke up.

"Mr. Stark just txted saying use his card. We need to get you a mask, since they want to pull a Cinderella Story with you. You also need shoes and we can eat something. And Don't you two need a dress?" Peter asked. He was so serious.

"We already have dresses from the many Stark parties, but a mask will be fun to look for." Natasha spoke up. Wanda agreed. I sighed and walked over to check out which Peter intercepted by paying with his credit card from Tony Stark.

As we walked looking for a mask shop, if there was one, Nat brought up some funny thoughts.

"So you really are like a Cinderella in real life. Wicked step father, of course he died though, but Stark is like your Fairygod Mother and Bucky is your Prince Charming." Nat laughed. I rolled my eyes at her comment.

"You also have the step sisters!" Wanda added.

"Yeah, but Ginny and Lexi are not wicked or mean to me." I told them, which made Natasha scoff.

"Not to mention your name." Peter joined in, making me shoot him a glare. He kept quiet after that.

"Have you even seen the movies or read the story?" Wanda asked me. "I heard Bucky mention in his thoughts how he had to make you watch Twilight and Harry Potter soon."

"You haven't seen Twilight or Harry Potter?!" Peter yelped. His mind was clearly already making the plans. I sighed.

"I don't have a television, Bucky thought I was crazy. But I have seen Cinderella, all of them so far. The three Disney cartoons and the few live action movies. Lexi thought it was hilarious to make Ginny and I watch them since my crime name is Cinderella. She even got me a lighter-" I frowned. I forgot I had left my lighter behind to try and throw the people following me, but it clearly failed.

"How about we look for shoes first? I don't know if we'll find a mask store here." Wanda said, changing the subject for me. I'm sure she was reading my mind. I don't blame her, if I could, I probably would too. Think of the weird things she has probably seen. Probably has seen people thinking about the sex they had the other night or some weird shit. Wanda snorted. Yup, Hi Wanda. I thought and looked at her. She smiled at me innocently.

I went for some simple heels, although, Nat made me pick a pair that was a bit more since Tony was paying. So I got a pair of wine red heels with rose gold heel.

We did end up finding a place that sold masks. I chose one that was silver and went over the top half of my face. Showing only my upper lip and below along with my eyes.

Wanda whined saying I should have gone for more of a Vendetta like mask, but I didn't want to hide at this ball. I wanted to be seen. At least by Bucky. I wonder if he'll like my choices today. Guess I'll have to wait to see.

We moved on to the food court, Peter's stomach was rumbling which made his face go red.

"Are you guys bringing dates?" I asked. I knew these people only through their super hero alias. I had no idea who they actually were. Nat had a small frown, shaking her head.

"I'll probably just dance with Bruce or something. I'm more interested in the bar." She explained, I nodded, moving my gaze to Wanda.

"I'm going with Vision." She smiled. I smirked.

"The Android?" I questioned, she shot me a small glare.

"He's more than just an android. He's real." She spoke with a dreamy look in her eyes. Like she was imagining some sitcom with her and Vision having kids and going through some family with a white picket fence setting. I snorted.

"So if I'm Cinderella, do that make him Pinocchio? You can be the Blue Fairy!" Wanda laughed and bumped my shoulder. Nat was shaking her head with a laugh and Peter was nodding his head enthusiastically. "What about you, Peter? Any girls in school?" I questioned, he blushed hard.

"There is a girl.. but she is just a friend, probably not interested." He ranted. I placed my hand on his shoulder softly.

"You should try. The worse that can happen is if she says no, just add as friends. You can't be afraid of being turned down." I told him. He looked at me and smiled.

"Thanks Ella. I'll do that!" He said. We got to the food court and got our food. I got a cheese steak and fries from the Great Steak place. It looked so good. Peter got a few slices of pizza, which I stole a piece of pepperoni from. Nat and Wanda both got some Gurus which looked good.

These people were being so kind and opening to me, it almost felt like I belonged with them. Like a big family.
