"What the fսck, Julia?" Conrad yelled.

"I'm sorry. This must be such a shock. I spoke to your father this afternoon, and he and I decided that it would be best not to drag this out any longer than necessary." She tries to defend herself. As she goes on I look at Skye, they seem so disappointed in their Mother.

"I don't give a shit what the two of you decided on. You had no right to touch anything in this house." Conrad snapped back.

Quietly Jere says, "Those were her things," I see the pain and shock enter his eyes, I intertwine our fingers together, I'm not leaving him alone this time.

"Everything's in storage. I made sure that everyone was very careful with every single thing. I'm just doing what I have to do to sell this house." This time, a much softer approach from Julia.

It got me thinking about how maybe Julia was hurting too, this house doesn't seem to give her the same magical memories as it does for us. It makes me feel lucky that how I can remember this place as such a mystical wonderland.

I start to listen again when I hear Connie say, "I'm so sorry that she was too busy dying to make your life a little easier."

That was a low blow, even for Conrad.

I wasn't aware he could go even lower, "...You know, it sucks that our grandfather loved her more than you, but I'm not surprised." He stormed off to the living room. We all just stood there with our jaws hanging wide open.

We all follow him to the living room and he is aggressively dialing someone on his phone.

"This asshоlе won't even pick up my calls!" He yells, then walks over to Skye, "Did you know about this?"

"Easy Connie!" I yell.

At this point, Taylor and Cam went outside. It was just the Cousin's gang plus Skye in the room.

"I'm serious. Did you know about this?" He does not know when to stop.

"I didn't know anything, okay? I swear I would have told you." Skye defends themself.

I know I haven't known them long but for some reason, I believe them.

"We can't just leave," Belly says. I'm happy Belly is always so optimistic, she really can help when everything turns to shit.

"I mean, full disclosure, Mom's realtor is expecting multiple cash offers."

"Shit," I whisper.

Finally, Steven puts his big brain to work, "Wait, where are we going to sleep?"

Seriously, Steven, that is what he's worried about. My god, why did he have to be my twin out of all people?

"I think there are some sleeping bags in the garage..." Belly says.

Conrad quickly defends, "I'm not sleeping in this house."

"I know a place we can crash for the night," Jeremiah says.

~

The last time I was at the Country Club was the Deb ball, the night I finally got to be with Jere, but also the night where I found out I was losing Susanah.

"You sure about this, bro?" Steven asks.

"Perks of not cleaning out your wallet," Jere answers. When he pulls his wallet out I see that there is a picture of me in it, still.

"Cute!" I say while pinching his cheek. I lean my head on his shoulder as he keeps trying his old employee key card.

It doesn't work.

"Just great," Steven Complains.

"Let's not give up yet,'" Belly starts, "There must be another way in."

"We could use my Mom's code," Cam says.

"Would she get in trouble?" I ask.

"No, she's the manager and she works the most random hours."

"Well, that could work." Connie finishes.

Cam punches the code in and vala, it works.

"Thank you for not being on the whaling boat Cam Cameron," Jere says to him while patting him on the back.

We all walk in and take in the club, this place is a lot fancier than I remember.

We all divide ourselves into groups: Steven and Taylor on blanket duty, Cam and Skye on snack duty, Jere and I on finding a place to sleep duty, and Belly and Conrad sneak off somewhere.

As Jere and I walk down the halls we start to run, I don't know why, it's not like someone is chasing us. We just start laughing.

"I have an idea!" Jere yells at me. As we run, we head in the direction of the movie theater.

"Ooh, our own private screening," I say as we enter the dark and lonesome theater.

"You know, we are alone..." he suggests.

I just laugh and pull him to a chair. We both start to grab one another, hungry for more. Our lips connect and I never want to let him go. With that I find myself straddling him. He puts his hands on my hips and we just grind against one another.

"Do you think we have time?" He asked me.

"I don't know Jere... But, we have time for one thing." I unbutton his pants and kneel in front of him while putting my hair up.

He easily leans back with pleasure.

I've come to realize that I couldn't see myself doing any sexual activities with anyone besides Jeremiah. He is the only person I will ever let touch me. I'm only comfortable giving oral sex to him. In all honesty, he's the only person I'm comfortable having any sex with.

Once he groans to the finish line, we make out again. That was the nice thing about Jeremiah, some guys would be disgusted about kissing after giving them head, but not Jere. He simply just wanted more and more.

I straddle him once more and we are practically down each other's throats. He caresses my back and finds my way to my boobs, he touches and squeezes them. I giggle at this. If you can't laugh during sex then what's the point?

He's about to unclasp my bra when we hear Belly and Conrad enter. I throw myself off of him and find my way to the ground, causing a loud thump.

"Ouch," I say while rubbing my butt and standing up.

"Did you just throw yourself on the ground?" Belly asks.

"Uhh... no...'' I said awkwardly.

Jeremiah and I just laugh and Belly and Conrad roll their eyes, "Okay then, what movie should we watch?

~

Our group catches up and we decide to watch a classic, The Apartment. Sussanah loves... loved this movie.

I'm cuddling with Jeremiah as we watch, he and I share a Dr.Pepper, with Twizzler straws of course.

"Please be careful," Cam says to Taylor.

"What are you making?" I ask curiously.

"An apple bong," Taylor says while staying focused on her craft.

"Okay, can you just be a little more neat, please? Also, you can't smoke in here." Cam says, he is practically hanging off of the edge of his seat.

"All right, uh, well, why don't we take this outside before Cam Cameron has a stroke?" Jeremiah suggests.

~

We walk around the golf course as the boys are slowly breaking a golf cart.

"I think I loved Conrad longer and truer than anyone in my whole life," Belly says.

"I mean, probably, he was your first love," I say to answer her statement.

"And I'll probably never love anyone like that again." She finishes.

I stop and look at her, "What do you mean?"

"It's kind of a relief," She stops, "' I don't know if I could survive that again."

Taylor and I both go, "Hm."

"Hm?" Belly asks.

"I saw you two flirting at the boardwalk," I say.

"Yeah, there's a vibe," Taylor adds.

"Agreed, there also is a vibe with you and Steven," I say back to her.

"What! No!" Taylor defends.

"I don't know man, you and my twin seem to be close all of a sudden."

"No, I save all of my vibing for Milo."

We stop and notice the boys hop off the golf cart.

"This thing is officially dead," Cam says and laughs.

"Why don't we crash here?'' Conrad suggests.

We all agree and set up camp.

"Well, that would be perfect timing, because I have discovered the secret of the apple bong," Skye says.

I will say that they truly did make a good apple bong.

"We have to make this like actual camping, truth or dare?'' Steven suggests.

"Hell yeah!" I answer back.

We all gather in a circle and start to play.

"I dare you to eat the apple bong," Taylor tells Steven, and just like that he does.

Steven spits it out immediately.

"Ew, gross!" Belly shrieks.

Jeremiah goes next, "Where do you see yourself in ten years, Connie?"

"Here probably..."

We played a few rounds more. Jeremiah had to lick Stevens's toes, I had to eat grass, Taylor had to text an ex-boyfriend and all of the usual party shenanigans.

"Belly," Skye starts, "I dare you to kiss Conrad."

We all go silent.

Belly looks up at him and he looks at her.

"Okay," Connie says.

They gave each other a quick peck, I could tell they both wanted more though.

We all lay the blankets down and crash for the night. Jeremiah and I cuddle until we both eventually fall asleep.

When Summer started, I never would have predicted this is where I would be, in Cousins, in Jeremiah's arms, but I am happy because this almost feels like it's meant to be.
