chapter three

Oh my godsss someone read this!!!!!! Shout out to whoever you are, thank you so much!! I thought that after no one had read the first chapter, I should just give up. Thank you so much; this means a great deal to me. This might only have one read, but that means the world to me

      "GET-- OVER-- HERE!" wheezed the police man chasing me. "nah im good," I retorted. "Why you little--------" he got quieter as I ran farther from him. I turned my head around, checking to make sure he was gone. "Stop in the name of the law!" a police lady yelled. She was standing in front of me with a gun aimed at my head. Behind me the police man from before had caught up to me, and he too had his gun trained on me. "now just stand stillno need in amking this harder than it has too be ok?" the man said pulling out handcuffs "we are just gonna take you back to the foster care center".  "how bout, hmmm, lets see. no" i finished dashing into the nearest alley. Shoot, a dead end. Looked around, trying to find a clever escape. My eye caught the manhole presumably leading into the sewer system. "Well, we meet again, old friend," I said, lowering myself into the sewer, closing the cover above me. i sat in darkness as i heard footsteps running into the alley way from above me. "where'd he go!?" yelled the police woman, i held my breath fearing it might alet my location. "its like he just disappeared" sighed the male police. "we're gonna have too report this" the first police oficer said with a sigh " and, cheif is not gonna like this". When she finished, I heard the footsteps receding. "Pjew," I sighed. "That was close," I inwardly thanked my angel custodio. I had successfully evaded demigods, sayters, and policemen for two eons. Little did they know would not be staying for long; in three days, I'm catching a train bound for Jackson, Georgia. I've always liked Jackson, GA it's a small town with nice old country folk. It's just south of Atlanta, but the real reason I'm going is to find my little cousin, Izzie. She was five years old when I went into the system, but before that, we were inseparable. "LEOOOO!!!" someone screamed."Come on, Miss O'Leary, you can sniff him out!" Wait, wait, that's Percy!. No n o, no, no, noo, no, he's got his hellhound on my scent, you deserved to be found freak. Ahh, there is that voice, thought he went away, NOPE! You're pathetic; you can't even keep a girlfriend. Calipso left you for an Apollo kid. I heard the dog bark directly above me, " miss o'leary". Percy sighed, "This is no time to look for alley cats." Then I can feel him seeing the manhole. "Ohh, you're saying you think he's in there?" she replied with a scarily adorable woof. "Alright, Leoo, just come out. We know you're in there," Percy said. Ohh, I'll come out alright, I whispered to myself. "WATCH OUT," I yelled, giving Percy just enough time to back away before I blasted fire, sending the manhole cover soaring. By the time Percy got ahold of himself, self leo had disappeared

           when that was close, I thought, too close . I can't stay here much longer," I said to myself. "Looks like I'm leaving sooner than I thought."
