Chapter 32

3 weeks later

Jesy POV

“Perrie can not see this,” Leigh-Anne says as we are scrolling through Perez Hilton’s blog. We never read about ourselves and this is an American blog so we didn’t think we would be in it. But Perrie is. And it isn’t good.

The title reads: ‘One Direction’s Zayn Malik Invites Fans To His Room For Some Hook-Ups’.

Regardless of whether or not it is true Perrie will be devastated. We’ve never been in the magazines as much as Perrie has in the last few weeks and now it is starting to turn negative.

I see Jade’s face start to turn red with anger as she reads the article. Her and Zayn aren’t exactly the best of friends and reading stuff like this just makes her angry.

“Can we watch the video?” Jade asks, pointing to the icon of the video of Zayn supposedly inviting girls up to his hotel room.

“I don’t want to,” Leigh-Anne says and walks to the other side of the room to sit on the sofa.

I nod at Jade and she presses the play button on the video. Perrie is still in the bathroom so she definitely can’t hear us. As the video starts to play you can’t even see anything but you can definitely hear Zayn’s voice and some American girls.

“This is not good,” I say. The evidence is strong against him. It does sound like him and he is definitely inviting a girl to his room. He sounds drunk as well.

Out of the corner of my eye I see Perrie’s phone ringing on the table and the words ‘Hubby <3’ appear with a picture of Zayn.

“Should I answer it?” Leigh-Anne asks, moving over to the phone.

“No, I will,” I say and grab the phone, putting it next to my ear.

“Zayn, it’s Jesy,” I say as I answer the phone.

“Well this is Liam,” a voice says back through the phone.

“Oh right.”

“Have you seen the video?” he asks.

“Yep. How come you’re calling?”

“Well Zayn’s seen it. And he is really angry at the moment and I’m trying to calm him down. I was going to see if Perrie could calm him,” Liam says and I hear the sound of something breaking in the background.

“Well she hasn’t seen the video yet.”

“She hasn’t?”

“No but we’re going to tell her about it,” I say.

“Do you think she could talk to Zayn first? He needs to be able to defend himself,” Liam says.

“Ok,” I say. I walk down the corridor to the bathroom and knock on the door. “Perrie, Zayn is on the phone.”

Perrie POV

I quickly open the door and grab the phone of Jesy. I haven’t spoken to him in ages because we keep missing each other’s time zones so this is super exciting.

“Hi,” I say excitedly.

“Perrie, it’s Liam. Hang on, I’ll put Zayn on,” Liam says to me. Then he says to Zayn, “Zayn dude. Calm down, Perrie is on the phone.”

“Perrie?” Zayn says.

“Hi Zayn,” I say, confused as to what is going on and why the girls are all staring at me.

“Perrie I swear to god it is all lies. None of it is true. They make up bullshit. It isn’t me. I swear it isn’t. I’d never ever do that,” Zayn says. He says it all very quickly and I’ve got know idea what he is talking about.

“What?”

“What do you mean ‘what’?”

“What are you talking about? What didn’t you do?” I ask, starting to get scared as I can hear the panic in his voice.

“You don’t know?”

“Know what? Will someone please tell me what is going on!”

“Well there is this guy, Perez Hilton. And some fans have posted a video through a peep hole in a hotel room –“

“Oh jesus. It isn’t a sex tape is it?”

“No. Let me finish,” he orders. “They say the video is of me inviting girls to my hotel room in America.”

“From when?”

“A couple of weeks ago.”

“And? What are you gonna tell me? That you didn’t mean to? That you’re really sorry?” I say, starting to get angry, but not upset, just confused. “So what happened then? Did they go to your room?”

“Perrie stop. Let me explain.”

“I don’t want to hear it Zayn. I have an interview in 30 minutes and what if they ask me about it. Why would you embarrass me?”

“Perrie! IT ISN’T ME!” he shouts down the phone.

“Then why are you telling me? Why are you angry?” I ask, confused as to why he is making such a big deal out of something if it isn’t even true.

“Because they are lying about me. The video is Anthony, not me. Why would they lie about me if they are supposed to be fans?”

“It doesn’t matter, Zayn. It doesn’t matter what other people think you are because we all know that isn’t who you are.”

“But you believed it.”

“I thought you were telling me. I thought you were apologizing to me. I believed it because you told me it. If you tell me it isn’t you then I believe you. You don’t need to explain.”

“I’m sorry. I’m really sorry.”

“Don’t worry, Zayn. I expected rumours like this. I’m prepared for them. I’ll be fine.”

“I love you.”

“I love you too. Speak to you later.”

“Bye,” he says and I hang up the phone.

“You alright?” Jade asks as I slip my phone into my pocket.

“Yeah, I’m fine,” I say smiling brightly.

“Aren’t you annoyed or angry or something?” Jesy asks.

“I’m honestly fine,” I say. The girls look at each other with concerned looks on their faces. “There’s gonna be rumours. He’s away most of the time and I need to trust him. I need to be fine. I need to block it all out.”

“That isn’t healthy. You should tell him how you feel,” Leigh-Anne advises.

“He knows how I feel. He knows I love him and he knows I trust him,” I say, getting defensive.

“But do you really trust him? How can you completely trust him when he spends so much time away? You can’t know what he is doing 24/7,” Jesy says.

“I need to trust him. He’s my boyfriend. How would I cope with him being away if I didn’t trust him?”

“Ok, ok. But seriously Perrie, he’d want to know how you’re feeling. He’d want to know if you have any doubts,” Jesy tells me, placing her hand on my shoulder.

“Get off my back. I don’t tell you what to do in your relationships all the time. Why is everyone always telling me what to do and how to feel? It’s my relationship. Just leave me alone,” I say and I storm out of the house.

Hi guys. Sorry the chapters today have been rubbish.

This is just one I had to include because it was a big deal at the time. This is just another interperation of it, I'm not saying that this actually happened or even that I believe it happened like this. The next one will be MUCH better I promise.

I'll update tomorrow :)
