Chapter 46

JAYJAY POV

I hate this. This whole week, after I thought we could be somewhat normal, Keifer has been distancing himself. Not from the kids but from me. 

Every day is the same, we take turns looking after the kids; I got to the office some days and he goes to his. We would then see ech other at dinner and eat together but other than with kids, we didn't talk to each other. We even slept in same bed with the kids but still nothing. Not a look, not word, nothing.

I don't even know what I did. Was I cooking badly? Did I spend too much time at work? What was I doing wrong?

I was slowly getting fed up about this. It felt like living with a stranger or a roomate.

Today, it was my day to go to work but I decided to take work from home, under the excuse that I was feeling unwell (in a way because of the nonsense of the king, I felt sick.)

The kids were running around while I pretended to check my work emails, and glanced at Keifer who seemed busy on his phone.

I continued to refresh the page, hoping it would refresh my mind when he finally spoke, directly to me.

"Quit staring."Keifer said, not taking his eyes of his phone. Go have kids with it, instead!

"I'm bored."I said.

"Why are you bored on a sick day? Aren't you sick?"Keifer asked, finally looking at me.

"Yes, I'm sick of you."I said and immediately, his eye brows furrowed. A response!

"Why would you be sick of me?"He said, with a confused look.

"What you're doing to me, that's what I'm sick of. Plus, your face isn't exactly good for sickness."I explained, trying to hold back my laughter. His jaw dropped and his eyes looked like they were going to burst out of their sockets. It was ridiculous.

"What are you-"Keifer was cut off when Gab jumped on him. Kiara ran and sat next to me, judging her brother.

"Mummy!Daddy! Why are you looking at your phones so much?"Gab asked, his eyes wide.

"We have work, baby."I explained.

"But you can talk to each other? When we were at Uncle Angelo's house, Auntie Ion took him to their room and scolded him until he would play with us."Gab said.

"Why would Auntie Ion take Uncle Angelo to a room and scold him? Did she hit Uncle?"Kiara asked.

"I wonder where she hit Uncle Angelo."Keifer said, trying not to chuckle and I glared at him. Not now, idiot.

"We're bored. Play with us."Gab asked, with his pleading eyes. Too bad, child. You got that from me so I won't do everything you say. Hehe.

"What do you want us to do?"Excuse me! So this asshole could understand the look a child gave to him, but not a woman? Were men really this stupid?

 "Hide and seek. Adults vs Kids."Kiara answered.

Hide and seek. One of my favourite games.

"Baby, you choose Mummy's favourite game. Who's mummy good girl?"I cooed over Kiara who looked very proud. 

You're done, Watson. You're going have to tell me everything before you find me.
