I fumbled with the keys in my hand as I tried to open the front door to the apartment in a hurry, cursing under my breath. My stupid co-worker that had been supposed to take the night shift never showed up. So, my boss had ended up making me stay a couple extra hours at the coffee shop to cover for her, ruining my perfect plan to be on time for Brooke's birthday.

I finally managed to open the door and slammed it shut behind me, running my hands through my hair as I walked to my room. When I opened the door, I was not surprised to see Sam sitting on my bed with Lou on his side, his open textbooks scattered around them as he typed furiously on his laptop.

He had been working extra hard for his classes on the previous days, which had actually surprised me at the beginning. He had always seemed at ease with the amount of work his classes had demanded, never dedicating too much time of his day to study but still being one of the top students in his class. But all of a sudden, he seemed to be overwhelmed with stuff to do and exams to study for, thus spending the past week buried deep down in his books.

As I was hardly home during the day, between the coffee shop, my classes and the art lessons I still gave to the Winters' kids, he had taken a like to working in my room, saying it was "cosier". So now, all kind of astrophysics books could be found between my piles of clothes, papers and essays all over my shelves and drawers. But I really didn't mind it.

-          Hey there – I greeted as I took my sweater off, throwing it over the chair in front of my desk.

-          Hey – Sam smiled, lifting his eyes from his screen for just a second before going back to typing. Lou didn't even move from his side, almost falling asleep as she snuggled closer to his side – Rough day?

-          Yeah, my boss made me stay for two and a half extra hours – I told him, taking my shoes and socks off – I texted you I was coming home late, actually.

-          Sorry, I haven't checked my phone – he replied, his eyes still focused on the screen in front of him – I've got to turn this in by tomorrow night and I'm nowhere near finishing it – he sighed after some seconds, letting his head fall back on the wall and closing his eyes briefly.

-          It's alright – I chuckled, too focused on my closet as I looked for possible outfits for the night – You are still coming tonight, right? – I asked.

-          Yes – he exhaled, rubbing his face with his palms before finally shutting his laptop down and sitting up straighter on my bed – I'll finish this in my room and leave you to get ready – he added, standing up with his computer in hand and placing a kiss on my cheek before exiting the room. Lou followed right behind him, making me chuckle at how obsessed she was with him.

I took two dresses from their respective hangers and laid them on my bed. Checking the time, and realising I had little, I thanked the higher powers above for having showered before my shift and still being decent enough not to shower again. Brooke had invited me, Mackenzie and some of her friends to her apartment for dinner before we left for a nightclub she had picked to celebrate her birthday in. Sam and Danny, as well as the twins and all of her other friends would join us by then.

But if I didn't hurry, I would be joining her at the club as well, as I wouldn't be able to make it on time for the dinner.

Deciding to do my makeup first, I quickly grabbed everything I would need and moved Sam's uni stuff on my vanity to my bed, turning its lights on. Even though I wasn't a fan of makeup, we were going to a nightclub, so I decided to put a little extra effort to what I would normally do on my face.

Just as I applied my mascara, my hand weirdly shook and left a black spot under my eye. I cursed under my breath, not findign any make-up wipes or tissue around to clean it up.

Sighing, I checked the time again and stood up, storming to the bathroom and opening the door without even knocking first.

-          Hey, I'm taking a piss here! – Sam exclaimed, standing right in front the toilet with his back to me and an amused look on his face.

-          I'm sorry, I just can't find my make-up wipes – I explained, completely dismissing his presence and crouching next to the drawers below the sink, hoping to find them there – Keep on going, I don't mind – I added, rummaging through the different bags and boxes we kept there.

He didn't comment anything else as he finished his business, and after just a couple seconds, I finally found the damn packet. And luckily, it still had fresh wipes.

-          Um, babe, I need to wash my hands now – Sam awkwardly said from behind me, as I was blocking his way to the sink.

-          The bathroom's all yours, I found them – I smiled as I stood up, pecking his lips quickly and chuckling at his dumbfounded face before I walked back into my room.

I finished my makeup in record time, and removed my clothes hurriedly when I saw I only had ten minutes. Not having much time to deliberate, I picked the black bodycon dress and threw it on, adjusting the thin straps on my shoulders while I looked around for a pair of heels.

I could see Sam leaning on my doorway from the corner of my eye, who silently moved to sit on my bed as he watched me buckling my shoes on. I stood up straight once I was done, and grabbed  my favourite perfume to splash it all over my neck and chest.

Two arms snaked around my waist from behind as I checked myself on the full mirror in front of me. Sam rested his chin on my shoulder, eyeing me carefully with a small smile as I adjusted the necklace he had given to me for Christmas over my collarbone. I had never taken it off ever since that day.

-          You look amazing - he smiled, tightening the grip of his arms around me as he looked at our reflections in the mirror - As always - he added, placing a small kiss to my bare shoulder.

-          Thank you - I smiled back, running my fingers delicately over his forearms as I let my back rest against his chest - I put this one on in a hurry, but I was actually wondering if I should take the red dress instead - I commented, eyeing said dress on my bed.

-          You look really hot in this one, keep it on - Sam replied, burying his nose into the crook of my neck.

I turned around in his arms, placing my hands on his chest as I looked at him. I kissed his lips lightly, nudging his nose with mine afterwards in content. But scanning his features, my smile dropped a little.

-          You look tired - I commented, sliding my arms up to wrap them around his neck.

-          I am - he chuckled, letting his forehead rest on mine and closing his eyes.

-          Why don't you take a nap before leaving? - I suggested, seeing he still had time before having to leave for the club.

-          I need to finish that essay - he sighed, leaning onto the touch of my fingers with his eyes still closed as I brushed some strands of hair away from his face.

-          You can finish it tomorrow - I argued, softly massaging his temples to ease his frown away.

-          I can't - he sighed, finally opening his eyes and looking down at me. I sighed as well, running my hands down his upper arms slowly.

-          Alright, but don't overwork yourself - I pouted, meeting his eyes with mine as I bit down on my lip - We can leave the club early if you want to; I won't stand the whole night there anyways - I added, making him smile a bit.

-          Okay - he agreed, dropping a kiss to the top of my head before letting go of my body - But now leave, you are going to be late.

-          Let me grab my purse - I said, walking around me to grab the little black pouch from my hanger and stuffing it with my phone and keys.

-          You are forgetting the present - Sam chuckled, picking said box from the floor and handing it over to me.

-          Right, well, see you later - I smiled at him, stretching my neck to peck his lips as I struggled not to drop the box in my hands in the process.

-          I love you - he smiled when he pulled away, cupping the side of my face to place one last kiss on my lips.

-          I love you too - I smirked back, taking a step back to readjust the purse's strap on my shoulder - Don't forget to walk Lou before you leave - I added, crouching to pet our puppy that had just walked into my room before standing up again, turning to leave. He smacked my ass before I made it to the doorway, making me turn around to shoot him a playful look before I finally left.

-          Text me when you get there! - I heard him yell as I opened the front door, smiling to myself at his overprotective behaviour.

I let it close shut behind me as I skipped my way up the stairs to my friend's apartment, knocking on her door eagerly once I made it there.

-          HAPPY BIRTHDAY! - I exclaimed as soon as she opened, hugging her with my free arm as she squealed in my ear, trying not to mess her makeup or dress as she jumped.

-          Aw, you are here, I missed you today! - Brooke whined before she pulled away, letting me into her flat. We had indeed not seen each other all day, which was rare when it came to us. But we had both been way too busy with work and classes, and our schedules hadn't really allowed us to see each other earlier.

-          I missed you too - I pouted, walking around her living room and placing my purse on her couch. I looked around, realising nobody else had arrived yet - But I'm here now, so now, open your present - I said excitedly, giving her the box in my hands.

She narrowed her eyes mischievously at me as she opened it, taking her time to undo the ribbon on top of it and opening the lid. She gasped when she looked at the box's content, lifting her hand up to cover her opem mouth.

-          You didn't - she whispered, letting her hands down to pick the dress from the box.

-          I did - I chuckled, watching as she stared at the piece of clothing made by one of her all time favourite designers in her hands.

-          Gwen, this is amazing, thank you! - she squealed again, throwing herself into my arms as she hugged the life out of me. I smiled as I hugged her back, rubbing her back affectionately.

-          You can change it for another one if you don't like it - I said as I pulled away, seeing her excited face as she eyed the dress.

-          Of course not, it's the most beautiful design I have ever seen - she replied, running her fingers through the fabric - I have studied her designs for years now but wow, having one in my hands is something else - she whispered, making my smile grow wider.

-          I'm glad you like it - I side-hugged her again, just as a knock was heard from her door.

One by one, the rest of the girls arrived and so did the food, as Brooke had ordered sushi for all of us. We ate chatting excitedly and laughing about everything. Her sister joined us too, and I was happy about having a just-girls time after so long. Living with a guy, who happened to be my boyfriend, and being friends with mostly guys could get tiring sometimes.

Once we were done and the time to leave for the club had arrived, we called for a couple of Ubers, splitting in groups of four to catch our rides there. I ended up in the same car as Mackenzie and Brooke, as well as one of her classmates, and I stuck with them as we entered the club, not wanting to get lost.

I texted Sam as soon as we were inside to let him know everything was good, and put my phone back inside my purse as we made our way to the table Brooke had got us for the night.

- Ladies, tonight the drinks are on me - she announced as we got there, where four bottles of champagne and all types of different drinks where already waiting for us.

There weren't enough couches for all of us to settle there, so after grabbing a drink, some of us drifted to the dance floor, ready to dance the night away. There was a waiter next to our table, making sure no alcohol was missing whenever we went back there to get a refill.

I was already four drinks in, tipsily dancing to some shitty trap song with Brooke pressed to my back when I spotted Sam, his brothers and Danny in the dense crowd of people.

- Hey, look who's here - I said as I turned around, raising my voice a little so that she would hear me over the loud music, looking over their way while we kept on dancing. It took her a couple of seconds to spot them scanning the mass of grinding bodies as they looked for us, and a smirk formed on her face right away.

- Dick time - she simply replied, way more drunk than I was, and gave me a mischievous look - But first, let's give them a show.

With that, she threw her arms loosely around my neck, almost dropping her drink, and started to dance to the beat of the song, our bodies pressed as there was not much room to move around. She was dancing in a slightly provocative way, and not understanding what was going on but not wanting to let her down, I followed her movements, swaying in synch after I had downed the remains of my fifth glass. We were catching the attention of some of the guys around us, which actually boosted my confidence in my dancing skills a bit. But most importantly, I could see Jake biting down hard on his lip as he approached us, his eyes not being able to leave my best friends' body.

I quickly caught onto what Brooke was doing when I saw the hunger in his eyes, chuckling to myself as I turned around, pressing my back against my best friend's, still dancing to the deep beat. But soon enough, her head that had been resting back on my shoulder as we danced left its place, and my back was met with cold air.

I turned around, seeing Jake's hands firmly grasping her waist as he leaned to whisper something into her ear with a smile. My own smile widened when she threw her arms around his neck and kissed him, feeling happy for my best friend.

That night when she had confessed to him that she had been starting to catch some feelings, he had admitted he had been feeling the same way too, even when he had set his mind not to. As they were both still a bit confused about everything, and he had yet to figure out what he wanted, they had ended up deciding not to date for the time being, but still see each other exclusively.

My thoughts were interrupted when Danny, Josh and Sam appeared behind them, walking over to where I stood.

- Have you seen Mackenzie? - Danny asked over the music after they had all greeted me, Sam being particularly quiet.

- She was at our table the last time I saw her - I explained, pointing that way.

He thanked me, offering to take my empty glass with him before turning in said direction and going to look for his girlfriend. Josh had already managed to charm a girl to dance with him, and soon disappeared from our sight, leaving me alone with Sam in the middle of the crowd of sweaty bodies. With a soft smirk, I extended my hand to him in a silent invitation.

He took it without hesitating, and I pulled his body as close to mine as I could, sliding my hands up his chest. His own hands fell on my hips, accompanying their swaying to the rhythm of the hip-hop/R&B song playing. His face leaned down to my own as my arms wrapped around his neck, his lips brushing against my ear slowly.

- This music sucks - he mumbled against my skin while his arms slid around my waist, still moving his body to the beat.

- I don't know, it's sexy - I admitted, nudging the shell of his ear with my nose and smiling to myself.

It had been a while since the last time I had danced with Sam, and we had never gone clubbing together before. Even though it wasn't our typical scenario, and he clearly didn't enjoy the music, it was interesting to change things up from time to time.

- You make it sexy, which is different - he argued as I slid my hands down his shoulders. He spun me around carefully, bringing my back close to his chest - Are you drunk?

- Just a bit tipsy - I replied, enjoying the feeling of his hands slowly tracing the curves of my body while we sensually danced against each other.

No words were spoken, but none were needed, getting lost in the feeling of each other's bodies. My ass was dangerously hovering over his crotch as I swayed my hips from side to side, lifting one hand up to grab the back of his neck and pulling his head closer. We kept on dancing, his hot breathe fanning my neck and his hands tightening their grip on my hips, telling me he was enjoying it. I continued to grind against him to the song, the heavy bass beat vibrating through my body as I let myself loose.

- Gwen... - he warned next to my ear after some time, nibbling with my earlobe as I pressed my butt completely against him. I chuckled to myself but kept on moving, knowing exactly what I was doing while his fingers buried deeper into my hips, accompanied by a low grunt.

He brought my arm down from his neck, sliding his hands all the way down both of my shoulders to my hands. He entwined our fingers before he brought our arms around me, hugging me tightly to his body as he rested his chin in my shoulder.

- You are killing me here - he said into my neck so that I could hear him over all the noise.

- I'm sorry - I laughed, feeling slightly guilty for purposely turning him on. He mumbled something similar to "It's alright" but kept on dancing all the same, with the sides of our faces pressed together.

Still a bit carried away by all the drinks I had taken, I kept on swaying in our embrace, humming to myself whenever he placed a kiss to the skin of my shoulders or neck. I leaned my head back on his shoulder, basking in how intimate this felt even though we were surrounded by hundreds of people.

-         He's so whipped - he suddenly said, motioning with his head to the left, where Brooke and Jake could be seen dancing in each other's arms, teasing smiles on their faces - I couldn't even say happy birthday to her because he was already all over her.

-          Let them be - I chuckled, tightening the grip of our arms around me as I closed my eyes - They look happy together.

Sam spun me around carefully, bringing my arms up around his neck again and his hands down to my waist. He leaned his face closer to mine, resting his forehead against my own.

-          I'm happy with you - he mumbled in a still audible tone, looking into my eyes with a soft smile.

I bit my lip as a grin spread across my face. We had been dating for some time now, but his words never failed to make my heart beat faster.

I pressed my lips against his, not needing much effort to reach his face with my high heels. He kissed me back, tightening his hold around me before I pulled away.

-          Well, I'm relieved, who would have said my boyfriend actually enjoys being with me? - I joked, making him roll his eyes as he chuckled - I'm happy with you too, dork - I added when my small laugh died down, giving his lips the sweetest of kisses as we kept on dancing.

It looked like he had ended up forgetting about his dislike for the music and the people bumping into us every couple of minutes, as we swayed in our little bubble, stealing kisses every now and then and simply enjoying being in each other's arms.

But some time later, I started to feel really thirsty, consequence of all the alcohol I had taken earlier and all the dancing and sweating. I tugged from Sam's arm to catch his attention, letting him know I was in need of something to drink.

-          C'mon, let's go to the table - he replied, taking my hand in his and walking over to the couches where Josh, Matt, Layla and one of Brooke's friends were sitting.

-          Hi, I'd like to have some water, please, if it's possible - I smiled to the waiter that had been bringing our drinks all night.

-          Sure, I'll bring it to you in a second - he replied before walking away to the bar.

-          Look who decided to show up - Matt teased when I turned to face the table, as I hadn't seen him all night. I hugged him, rolling my eyes playfully, before I slid onto the couch next to Sam.

-          I've seen more of her than the birthday girl - Layla, who was sitting across from us, chuckled.

-          C'mon guys, leave her alone - I said for the second time that night, knowing that it had been a while since my best friend showed interest in a decent guy. And Jake was more than decent.

-          Yeah, I know, but do you know what having my room across from hers feels like now? - Layla laughed, taking a sip from her drink.

-          Hey, he shares a room with me, there's no way I'm allowing them to do it back home all week - Josh argued, making her roll her eyes - At least you've got a door and some walls for protection.

Just then the waiter arrived with my bottle of water, and I thanked him before he left. Opening it, I chugged the fresh liquid down my dry throat, feeling my body cooling instantly. I passed it over to Sam once I was done, leaving less than half of it for him to drink.

-          You are all being mean, they can't be that bad - I said as I leaned back on the sofa, earning a death glare from both Layla and Josh.

-          He's even hornier than me, so...- Sam commented, making me nudge his side with my elbow - What? I'm just saying.

-          Who feels like dancing? - I asked, chuckling as I changed topics abruptly. Matt shook his head no, as well Brooke's friend whose name I didn't know, while Josh and Layla agreed to come with me instantly. I turned to look at Sam, as he hadn't said anything - Are you coming?

-          I'm kind of tired - he  admitted with lopsided smile, making me pout and run my hand down the side of his face as I looked at him tenderly.

-          Do you want to leave? - I asked genuinely, running my thumb over his cheek as I remembered my offer from earlier. He had indeed been tired even before coming, so maybe he just wanted to go back home to sleep.

-          No, you go and have fun, I'll be right here - he smiled, taking my hand in his and bringing it to his lips to kiss it.

-          Alright - I smiled back, standing up to join Layla and Josh, who were waiting for me to go with them.

Taking Josh's hand in order not to get lost amidst the crowd of people, I followed them to the middle of the dance floor, where we found Danny, Chase, and a very drunk Mackenzie.

Still not letting go of Josh's hand, I started to dance, feeling the effect of the booze slowly subsiding but the high of the moment taking over my body. Surprisingly, they stopped playing those trap songs after a while, changing them for pop hits that even Danny and the Kiszka twin admitted they knew.

-          Hey, has Sam told you yet? - Josh said leaning down to my ear, just as the song playing ended.

-          Told me what? - I asked him back with a frown, trying to be heard over the new music.

-          Nevermind - he simply replied, taking my hands in his again as a new song started.

His question kept on bugging my head, not understanding what he had been talking about, but I eventually let it go, dancing, laughing and singing to the few songs we knew the lyrics to. After a while, Brooke and Jake showed up, with reddened plump lips and flustered looks on their faces, smiling widely. We welcomed  them to our group, and soon enough, I found myself dancing between my best friend, Chase and Josh, moving to the beat of Wannabe's remix by the Spice Girls.

-          I need another drink, care to come back with me to the table? - Brooke asked me over the music once the song was over, and I immediately nodded. We had already lost Jake, Danny, Layla and Mackenzie, and Josh and Chase had captured the attention of a couple of ladies around us, so we left them there and headed towards our spot.

Sam was still sitting on the same place, drinking what looked like coke as he chatted with Danny, who was sitting across from him, hugging a tipsy Mackenzie.

-          And the birthday girl finally appears - my boyfriend teased when he saw Brooke, standing up to hug her when we got closer - You've got to divide your attention between the both long-haired Kiszkas now - he added jokingly, taking another sip from his drink as he sat back down.

-          Is this my birthday present? You saying you want my attention? - Brooke joked, taking a seat next to Danny and calling the waiter afterwards.

-          Enjoy it; won't happen again - Sam chuckled as I stood next to him, running my hand down his hair - Are you ready to go? - he asked looking up at me. I looked at Brooke, who nodded in approval with a smile, letting me know I was off the hook for the rest of her birthday night.

-         Alright - I smiled, checking the time on my phone - Oh my god it's already 3AM - I exlaimed, my eyes widening. I hadn't realised it was that late, and even though I didn't have to work in the morning the following day, I had a long shift in the afternoon - We've got to go.

-         We have to drive these two a back home too - he announced, pointing towards Danny and Mackenzie as he stood up - I would offer you a ride too but I assume you are leaving with my brother - he added, looking at Brooke.

-          You are right - she chuckled, just as the twins approached our table.

-          Okay, let's go then - Sam said, chugging the remains of his soda and taking my hand.

Danny managed to make Mackenzie stand up and, after saying goodbye to the rest, the four of us made our way outside. I took the passenger's seat as Sam took his spot behind the wheel in his car, our other two friends taking the backseat.

We didn't talk much in the ride back home, as we were all tired, and in fifteen minutes we had already dropped Danny and Mackenzie at his apartment. I had almost fallen asleep on my seat for the rest of the drive, with the effect of the alcohol completely wearing off, but Sam eventually woke me up, indicating we were home.

Once we were inside, we told him to take the shower first, as I still needed to remove my makeup. As soon as he was finished, I followed, wanting to remove all the sweat and stink from spilled drinks from my body.

I walked back into my room when I was done, with my body wrapped in a towel and my damp hair falling over my shoulders. Sam was just putting a pair of boxers on, his cute little ass facing my way, and his loose hair just as wet as mine.

-          Nice bum - I teased as he adjusted the waistband of his underwear, making him turn to smirk at me as I walked over to my closet.

-          Not as nice as yours - he simply replied, plopping down on my bed as he watched me rummage through my drawers - I need to tell you something - he blurted after some minutes of staring at me, sitting up and resting his elbows on his knees.

-          Alright? - I chuckled, not knowing if he was playing or being actually serious. I stood up from my crouching position with a pair of panties, cotton shorts and a t-shirt in hand, placing them at the end of my bed to get changed - What is it?

-          I'll wait till you are ready - he replied, motioning to my pyjamas with his hand as he scratched the back of his neck with the other one. I suddenly remembered Josh's question back in the club, increasing my uneasiness.

-          You are scaring me - I admitted, letting my towel fall to the floor and putting my clothes on. He was acting all serious, and it was slightly freaking me out.

Instead of easing my nerves he stayed silent, making me more anxious as I took my towel to the bathroom and made my way back to the room. He was still sitting there, his face looking down as he focused on his fingers.

I broke his trance as I pushed him a little to straddle him, placing my hands on his shoulders as I sat on his lap.

-          What is it? - I repeated, bitting down on my lip. He simply looked at me for some seconds, not saying anything - You know you can tell me anything, right? No matter what.

-          I know - he smiled, squeezing my hips lightly- Okay, promise you won't get mad because I didn't tell you before - he started, fixing his eyes on mine.

-          Okay - I rolled my eyes playfully, eager to know what all of this was about. His mood had lightened a bit, which calmed my nerves, but not knowing was still making me anxious.

-          Well, alright... the band's going on tour - he finally said, making my eyes widen as I looked at him in surprise.

-          Sam, are you being serious? - I managed to say through my astonishment, searching his face for any hint of a joke.

-          Yes, we are leaving just for two weeks though, it's something small - he explained, running his hands up and down my sides - But if it goes well, this guy we hired as our manager may get us another tour, maybe for a month or..- I didn't let him finish, as I threw my arms around his neck and hugged him tightly.

-          Oh my god, I'm so happy for you- I genuinely smiled, tightening my grip around him as I processed everything.

They were finally starting to grow, and I couldn't be prouder.

-          Thanks, babe - he chuckled, pulling away to peck my lips quickly.

-          Hold on, when are you leaving? And what about school? And the piano lessons? - I started to blurt, resting my hands on his sides as I eagerly waited for answers.

-          I have talked with my professors and they've agreed to let me turn in everything for those two weeks earlier - he began explaining - I guess you noticed I have actually started doing something for my studies - he added with a chuckle, looking around my room to all of his books - They recommended me enrolling online, though, if I plan on doing this again. So I have already started the paperwork.

-          And the Winters'? - I asked again, referring to his "job".

-          I have talked to Mrs. Winters and she's cool about it. She's been bragging to her friends about her kids' piano teacher going on tour - he said with a soft laugh - She really doesn't know they'll be shitty bars. And about your other question, we are leaving next week.

-          Next week?! - I said, stopping the caresses of my fingers on his bare torso - Sam, why didn't you tell me before? - I asked, pulling away a little.

-          We wanted to be 100% sure this was happening before telling, and that happened today - he replied, pulling me closer to his body - I'm sorry, babe; don't be mad.

-          I'm not mad, I'm just surprised; it's so soon - I said, sliding my hands up his chest - I'm really proud of all of you - I added after some seconds with a tiny smile.

-          I'm surprised Josh didn't spill this earlier to you; Danny told me he almost blurted everything to Mackenzie yesterday - he commented, moving our bodies so that we now laid on the bed.

-          He almost did - I chuckled, remembering what had happened at the club, and Sam rolled his eyes - He must be really excited.

-          He is - Sam smiled, brushing a piece of hair off my face.

I leaned in to kiss him, wrapping one of my arms tightly around his neck as he cupped my cheek with one of his hands to deepen it. We rolled over, so that now I was laying underneath him, and I pulled him closer, tangling my hands in his hair as I got lost in his tongue and lips.

He finally pulled away, placing a couple soft kisses on my neck before he rolled off my body. He lifted the covers, and we both got under them before we turned on our sides to face each other.

-          We've never been apart for that long - I commented with a smile, tucking a piece of hair behind his ear - Lou and I will have the whole place to ourselves, it will be ladies' time - I joked, making him chuckle.

-          You both better miss me - he teased back, scooting a little bit closer after turning the lights off.

-          You know we will - I chuckled, letting my eyes close as tiredness started to take over my body.

Some minutes went by, but I was pulled back into focus when Sam's nose rubbed softly against mine, the sweet gesture of our lips brushing making us both quirk a smile.

-          I love you - he whispered.

-          I love you too - I smiled back, turning on my side so that he could spoon me.

He immediately did, pulling my body closer to his before he placed a small kiss to my temple.

Two weeks couldn't be that long.
