*19 months later*

"Liv come on Jack's waiting!" I yelled into her bedroom of our shared flat. We'd moved in together, finally, in a decent sized flat in, still in London. It was a beautiful flat. The walls were all white and the furniture was all white too. The kitchen was white along with the bathroom and our bedrooms.

"Coming!" she yelled and rushed out her room in a white body suit with a leather jacket over the top, blue jeans with huge amounts of rips in them and cargo boots. She looked amazing. I, on the other hand, was wearing an outfit that I'd barely put any thought into at all. It was just a dark blue, short skirt and a matching dark blue, cropped tank top. I had black ankle boots with a slight heel on and grey trench coat to keep me warm.

I locked the flat before Liv and I walked excitidly down the smelly stairs and out into the street where Jack was stood next to his red porche that he loved with his entire life.

"Hey baby, you look hot this evening," he said to me when I gave him a quick kiss and I giggled. He tasted like cigarettes but after 7 months I'd gotten used to it. I'd met him in the corner store when my card had declined the machine. The cashier had been about to take the loaf of bread out my hands when Jack had swooped in and told the woman he would buy it for me, along with a bottle of alcohol for himself. The first thing I noticed about him was the large tattoo on his shoulder. It was a huge lion head in black and white showing its huge teeth. It scared me a little but at the same time I found it interesting.

"Come on there is no time for this you guys! Alex is already there," Liv said, already opening Jack's car and climbing into the back seat. Jack slapped my bum as I got into the car and I screamed but he just laughed.

We arrived at the pub just after 7. Alex, Liv's boyfriend who she was getting quite serious with, was stood outside on his phone waiting for us.

"Hey beautiful, I've missed you," he said to her when she went up and kissed him. I saw her smile and it made me happy that she'd finally found someone that she really liked. Alex was a good guy, he had a job in computing and had his own flat close to mine and Liv's. His parents were also wealthy like Liv's although Liv's were definitely richer. He was handsome aswell which was always a bonus. Him and Liv met in Costa and according to Liv they'd had an "immediate connection" even before they'd said one word to each other

"Let's go!" I said loudly, taking Jack's hand. I pulled him behind me as I walked inside and went to the bar. I got a sex on the beach and Jack got his usual pint of beer. Liv got a glass of wine and Alex got a gin and tonic. We found a table near a window and the 4 of us sat down, me next to Jack and Liv next to Alex. I hung my coat on the back of my chair before sitting down.

Jack finished his beer quickly and went to get a refill. When he came back he put his arm around me, allowing me to take in the smoky scent that I'd gotten so used to.

"Let's go outside to my car," he whispered it to my ear through my hair.

"We can't, we've only just got here," I said but a smile was already creeping onto my face and I knew he could see it.

"C'mon baby, you know you want to," he continued to whisper and I felt his fingers run along my collar bone, giving me goosebumps.

"Baby stop, Liv and Alex are right there," I said and shook my body a little to get his hand off. We'd been together for 7 months but whenever he tried to go any further than making out it just didn't feel right for me.

"Fine," he said with a huff and pulled his hand away from my skin but he kept his arm around me which didn't bother me that much.

"I'm going to piss," I said after a few minutes of talking. Everyone nodded so I got up without saying anything else and walked to the toilets. They were surprisingly nice toilets for a pub and I took my time washing my hands and staring at myself in the mirror above the sink.

Just have sex with Jack already. It's not that hard.

I shook the thoughts from my head quickly though before drying my hands with a blue paper towel and stepping back out into the pub and straight into someone who dropped a kitkat and a pack of salt and vinegar crisps.

"Oh god I'm so sorry," I said hurriedly as I bent down and retrieved the kitkat off the disgusting pub carpet, "Here."

My eyes went wide when I saw who I was stood in front of. A man taller than me wearing a plain black t-shirt and black skinny jeans. The blond from his hair had almost completely disappeared except from a small bit at the tips, leaving him brunette. And his eyes. Such enchanting, piecing blue eyes that made my heart skip at least 3 beats. The eyes that made me feel something no one else ever could. Eyes that made me forget who I was and what I was doing.

"Hi," Niall said.

I didn't say anything because I knew if I opened my mouth I would find it basically impossible to stop yelling at him so I just rushed past him to the door of the pub and stormed out, hoping Jack wouldn't see me leave.

"Lily wait!" Niall shouted from behind me.

"Fuck off Niall, I mean it!" I yelled but I didn't turn around.

"No, I won't fuck off. I have to talk to you!"

I spun round on my heel and he nearly walked straight into me, "I am not going to listen to you make up some bullshit excuse about why you said what you said last time I saw you. You can not pretend to love someone and then drop a bomb on them on Christmas Day saying that, actually, you don't care about them. If you really expect me to just stand here and listen to whatever your going to say then you better think again. Everything that comes out of your mouth is shit so you can take your lying arse back inside and never try and talk to me again!"

"You don't understand, just give me a minute to explain and I promise then I'll go," Niall begged but I just shook my head.

"STOP FUCKING PROMISING THINGS!" I shouted at the top of my voice. Our argument had gotten very heated very fast.

"Lily what's going on?" I heard Jack's voice and looked away from Niall to see him running up to me.

"Nothing. Just he's pissing me off that's all," I said in a calmer voice.

"You better watch it mate cause if your trying to hit on my Lily then you got something coming for you," Jack threatened Niall, taking a step forward and looking very scary doing it. Niall didn't move a muscle though, he stayed dead still, not scared of Jack at all.

"Jack just go back inside, I can deal with this," I said to Jack before Niall could respond with something stupid that would make Jack angry.

He glared at Niall but listened to me and went back inside the pub.

"Were did you go after you walked out my house that Christmas?" Niall said in a voice that was slightly muffled because he was looking down.

"None of your business."

He looked back up at me with tears in his eyes and for a second I thought about hugging him but I quickly threw the thought away. It didn't matter how mad I was at him, I hated seeing him upset. It broke my heart however I'd promised myself I would never be nice to him again so I tried my hardest not to let him get to me.

"I'm really sorry," he said and tears broke out from his eyes and ran down his soft cheeks. I didn't feel them but I knew they were soft.

"Yeah?" I said quietly and he nodded, "Well you should've thought about that before ripping my heart out."

I turned away from him and began walking away from the pub along the pavement that had no one else on. I was freezing and I wanted my coat but it was back in the pub and I didn't want to go back. I seemed to have a habit of leaving my coats in pubs and it wasn't a good habit.

"Niall you better quit following me otherwise I'm gonna smack you!" I shouted when I heard footsteps behind me. I didn't have to turn around because I knew it was Niall.

"Be my guest, I have nothing to lose," he said back and his footsteps didn't stop.

"Right, look here Mr 'I love you so much but I actually don't cause I was tricking you this entire time' " I used my hands to make speech marks as I attempted to do an Irish accent on the surname I'd given him, "It's been over a year since we last saw each other and I must admit, my life is all golden and sunny right now. I'm living with Liv, I have a job as a waitress 4 evenings a week and I have moved on from you and now have a lovely boyfriend called Jack who actually does like me and isn't just messing with my feelings for fun. So, you need to turn around right now, walk back to your car, drive away and never speak to me, look at me or even think of me again. Ok?"

"No," he said and grabbed my shoulders with both his hands making my body crave his touch more than ever.

"Get your hands off me!" I struggled but he held on tight.

"You can't make me leave," he said sternly.

"Fine, then I'll leave," I said sharply and lifted up my legs. I kicked him right where it hurts and he bent over in pain, making his hands come off my shoulders. I heard him let out a groan as I walked away, flipping him off as I did, and I couldn't help but smile that I'd actually just done that.

I walked all the way back to my flat even though it was quiet far and was relieved when I discovered that the spare key was still under the entrance mat outside the door.

I ended up going to sleep on the sofa that night. Liv arrived home around 11 and threw my coat onto me which woke me up but I didn't bother moving to my bedroom so I just pushed my coat onto the floor and told myself I'd put it away in the morning.
