Chapter 39
04:45, 31 July 2024"Mr Hwang, so you are the infamous art dealer I was looking for. I'm sorry for not arriving sooner, I had expected Chan, my son to know something about you through your son." Bang Chan's father said from the lower bunk of their prison cell.
Mr Hwang sighed, "Stop waffling already. I don't care who you are." He propped himself up on his elbows and scowled saying, "Take care of that bitch since he was a baby and now his friends decide to expose me."
Bang Chan's dad, Jack, stood up and said seriously, "If you get me out of here, which I know you can, I would work for you."
Mr Hwang growled and got up, "Shut up. You are pathetic."
Jack bowed slightly, "Please listen to my plan sir. It's not like you have too many options left either way."
Mr Hwang huffed and nodded, he was a businessman after all.

Hyunjin styled his hair in the mirror, slightly excited by the grad party. It was the first party he was going to spend with someone he felt safe with. Hyunjin tried not to remember the last party he went to, where he was forced to stay quiet and Han almost died.
Nevermind, too late, he was already thinking about it. Hyunjin looked at the watch around his wrist, that Han had gifted him long ago. He could hear the chaos of talking and laughter from outside. The Lee's house was always so lively. Unlike his home, quiet, empty, white and cold. It felt like a maze, a prison where you could keep walking forever and never find your way out. Hyunjin came to get ready for the grad party at the Lee's house because why would he do it alone in his mansion?
Hyunjin sighed, looking at the tiled walls. Han almost died that day. And it was his fault. If he had been more obedient, more quiet, and more brave, his father wouldn't have gotten mad. "Dad wouldn't have punished me by hurting Han." Hyunjin thought.
Hyunjin forced himself not to cry. This was the last school gathering of their lives, he couldn't possibly imagine being gloomy tonight. Not when everyone was so happy. Not when Felix was so happy.
"Get out of your fucking guilt and listen." Hyunjin scolded himself, focusing on Felix's voice and laughter outside. Hyunjin smiled hearing how happy Felix sounded, and suddenly the dark cloud over his head was gone.ย
Hyunjin looked back into the mirror and smiled, deciding to put on some earing as well. He also loosened his tie a bit. He was going to a party, not a business meeting. He rolled up his black sleeves and and ruffled his hair a bit, slicked back hair looked weird.ย
In the end he ended up changing his whole outfit.
(A/N: The outfit reference... minus the microphone lol)
Hyunjin walked outside and sat in the living room, waiting for the others to get ready too. Lee Know walked out soon after and said, "Jisung is doing his hair and then he'll be ready too."ย
Hyunjin nodded and stood up, wondering if he should check up on Felix too. Lee Know said, "Whoa Jiniret! You look nice..." Hyunjin chuckled, "Thank you Minho. It's called being a rich kid."
Lee know rolled his eyes and went to say something but froze when Jisung walked out. Lee know just stared. Hyunjin huffed and walked to Felix's bedroom.
Felix was in the bathroom, the door was open and the light was on. Hyunjin sat on the bed, which was scattered with make-up, jewellery, and clothes. Hyunjin smiled looking at the stuff. Hyunjin yelled, "We're gonna be late princess!"
Felix said, "Nobody is going to mark our late arrival Hyunie. Tell me how do I look." Felix walked out of the bathroom and Hyunjin turned to look at Felix, raising his eyes and scanning over Felix's body. Hyunjin felt his throat go dry and his brain go blank.ย ย
(A/N: Took me an hour to find a picture that wasn't too pretty for grad... At least Hyunjin has an excuse because he's rich... Welp, enjoy!)
Felix blinked and snapped his fingers, "Hyunie? Is something wrong? Did i over-do it?"
Hyunjin snapped out of his thoughts and smirked, "You look very pretty love. Almost forgot to breathe for a moment."
Which was true, Hyunjin had forgotten to breathe for a moment. Felix smiled and sat next to Hyunjin. Hyunjin stood up, bowing slightly offering his hand, "When did you start calling me Hyunie? It's cute."
Felix took Hyunjin's hand, standing up, "You called me princess earlier too, where did that come from?" Hyunjin's cheeks flushed and he smiled, his eyes hiding into cresent shaped moons. Felix adored Hyunjin's smile so much.
"Come out you two love birds, I don't wanna get late!" Han yelled.

Changbin and IN were already drinking at the party, Seungmin had already warned them about the coming chaos. Chan and Seungmin were going to a University in America, quite close to where Hyunjin had applied for. Changbin and IN on the other hand, were going to continue their studies in Korea.
Felix frowned and sat in a chair near a food counter. He sipped on a glass of orange juice deep in thought. he hated the fact that they were going to different countries, to different universities to study. Why did time go by so fast? He wanted to be with his friends longer. he wanted more... More time. He didn't want to grow up yet.ย Felix wanted this party to be one of his best memories, but he couldn't even muster up the courage to smile. Felix sniffled, looking up at the ceiling so his tears won't fall.
Felix flinched feeling a small touchon his back. He looked to his left to see Hyunjin looking at him with a small smile. Hyunjin leaned closer and said, "Wanna tell me what's bothering that pretty little head of yours?"
Felix tried to smile, but ended up grimacing. He sighed and looked away. Hyunjin looked in the direction Felix looked and held his hand. Hyunjin said, "I love listening to your voice, more than anything in the world. You know that, right?"ย
Felix chuckled and looked at Hyunjin, "My voice will become annoying sometime, when I don't know when to stop talking."
Hyunjin smiled and looked back at Felix, "What if i don't want to listen to anything else for the rest of my life? What if I want to record your voice just to listen to you when you don't want to talk. What if I wanna be here for you for eternity."
Felix blinked. Felix cleared his throat, "Romantic dumpling." Hyunjin laughed and Felix immediately looked at him, it was rare to see Hyunjin laugh. Felix gulped and said, "No more school, yay."
Hyunjin looked at Felix again, "Oh so that's what's up." Felix looked away. Felix mumbled, "I don't want my childhood to end... I've heard it enough from grown-ups, adult life sucks."
Hyunjin hums, listening intently. Felix says, "I just wanted to enjoy the party." Hyunjin spins Felix's chair to look Felix in the eyes. Hyunjin said, "It's going to be scary, and yes, things are going to be hard, but that doesn't mean it'll be completely worthless. If you try hard enough, and know what you want deep inside, you'll get it. And after all that, it'll be worth it. For now," Hyunjin paused standing up, reaching for Felix's hand like he did at home, "Worrying about this is not going to slow down time. Let's spend it, and make memories to keep when we're far apart."
Felix took Hyunjin's hand and Hyunjin pulled Felix to the dance floor. "Not that I'd ever want to be apart from you sunshine." Hyunjin whispered in Felix's ear as they swayed softly to the music. Hand in hand, Hyunjin holding Felix close by his waist, Felix's head on Hyunjin's shoulder. Felix smiled, relaxing onto Hyunjin, forgetting about everything and anything that might go wrong as he took in Hyunjin's cool scent. The noise around them white sound. The mess of people around them a black void. Just a small sound of music to which Hyunjin and Felix swayed side by side, as if a soft breeze moving through green grass.
Flowers, Hyunjin and Felix, blooming under the sun, their love. Who knew about the dark clouds, yet to come, like a dead dove.
