Chapter 20

After binge watching most of the show, Seungmin, IN and Changbin got bored. They all got a notification on their phones, from their schools. It said that school would be closed for the next two days due to heavy rain and story weather. All three of them cheered. IN's mom walked in, "What are you three cheering about?"

Changbin said, "Next two days no school!" IN's mom chuckled, "I guess you three will be having a long sleepover then?" IN's eyes sparkled, "We should invite the others too."

Seungmin said, "Han is supposed to be on bed rest." IN frowned and his mother said, "You all can have a sleepover at their place if they agree to it."

Changbin cheered as IN smiled. IN ran up to his mother, tackling her in a hug. His mother ruffled his hair and said, "But if I don't get at least five calls a day, I will go out in the bad weather to pull you back home. Am I clear?"

IN chuckled, nodding and rolling his eyes. Seungmin said, "So who's calling the Lees?"

Everyone looked at him.

Seungmin groaned, "Ok, I'll call Lee Know-ssi." Changbin said, "You can call him Hyung." Seungmin rolled his eyes.

Meanwhile,

Han, Felix, and Lee Know were all doing their homework, despite the message of two more holidays. Han asked a question about a math problem from Lee Know, while Felix groaned.

Felix wasn't feeling very well.

Felix said, "Can't we do the rest tomorrow? We have two holidays." Lee Know said sternly, "Finish it now, have the next two days free. No excuses."

Felix frowned, "I don't feel like doing anything." Lee Know said, "Then tell your brain to feel it. Or else no ice cream for you for the next week."

Felix gasped and immediately went back to his homework.

They worked in silence as Lee Know got a call. Lee Know glared at his phone and yeeted it across the room. Han gasped and hit his notebook on Lee Know's back.

Lee Know startled and got up to pick his phone. Lee Know said, "Do you want Jeongin, Chanbin, and Seungmin to come over for the next two days?"

Felix looked away, something bothering him, but nodded along as Han cheered with joy. "Finally, fun visitors!" Han yekled. Lee Know looked betrayed but immediately walked outside to ask their parents, as Han blew him a kiss with a wink.

Han snickered looking at Felix who was lost in thought. Han smile disappeared as he said, "Is something wrong?" Felix snapped out of his thoughts and stammered, "Huh? Oh no. Just... um... I think we should invite Bang Chan too, if mom and dad agree."

Han snickered and nodded. Lee Know came back in saying that their parents agreed. Felix sent a message to Bang Chan... peeking at the contact "Sunflower". Felix frowned seeing no message from Hyunjin, and kept his phone away.

Worry ate at him. Hyunjin would've left soon right? Seungmin, Jeongin, and Changbin arrived, but Felix's mind was somewhere else.

They all were in their big bedroom, talking and keeping their bags in the closet. All having fun. The doorbell rang and Felix almost sprinted to the door. Only to see a tired looking Bang Chan.

Why did he think it would be Hyunjin?

Felix gulped and let Bang Chan in, not hearing what the older said.

Felix leaned against the door, looking out at the dimly lit and misty street. Streetlights were still off, so the little light there was, made everything so peaceful.

Birds were flying to their nests, people were walking to their homes, and there was no vehicle far and wide other than a young boy on a bicycle. The young boy's father was trailing behind him, smiling and looking around.

He could hear hushed whispers behind him, calling his name, but he didn't pay them any attention. His ears were ringing.

Felix breathed in the cool air, feeling the atmosphere a tint of blue. Felix startled as he felt a hand on his shoulder. Felix looked around, again expecting Hyunjin, only to be met with Lee Know's worried eyes.

Lee Know pulled him inside and closed the door saying, "Snap out of your dreams, something happened with Bang Chan."

How Lee Know knew that Felix heard nothing, Felix didn't know. Maybe because Felix didn't say anything or react, but he was grateful Lee Know didn't ask any questions.

They walked inside hurriedly and saw Seungmin hugging Bang Chan like there's no forever.

Felix asked, "What happened?" Bang Chan looked at Felix.

Bang Chan said, "My dad left me, my mom, and my sister when I was five. He was an alcoholic so it was fine. But-" Seungmin stroked Bang Chan's back, supporting him to continue, "But he cane back. Today he was following me. Apparently he's in a black business or something. And... and he said I know someone who's father is in a shady business as well. He basically threatened me to tell him who it was or give him a clue. As far as I know, all of us are from good families... HE BASICALLY KIDNAPPED ME IN HIS CAR. If it wasn't for my sister's secret tracking app that she figured I was going somewhere secluded, I don't know what would have happened. Ma had to call the police. Thankfully dad got caught. I think he was going broke so he got desperate to find a sponsor or something."

By the end of it, Seungmin's eyes were filled with tears and Bang Chan was at the edge of hyperventilating. Felix went ahead and hugged Bang Chan. Slowly all of them joined the hug, except Lee Know.

Lee Know looked down. He knew who the 'shady' businessman was.
