Chapter 16

Hyunjin smiled, taking Felix's hands in his and pulling him closer, their noses almost touching. Felix could feel Hyunjin's warm breath on his face and he shuddered. Hyunjin whispered in a husky voice, "Really?"

Felix gulped as he felt himself blush more. He let out a soft breath. Hyunjin smirked. Felix slowly blinked his eyes as he stared into Hyunjin's eyes through his lashes.

Hyunjin leaned in closer as his eyes fluttered close. Felix breathed in Hyunjin's intoxicating scent. Felix could feel his cheeks burning up as blood rushed to his face. Felix tried to say something but all that came out was a breathy whisper of Hyunjin's name. Hyunjin's tongue subconciously licked over his lips and Felix felt his heart stop at the sight.

Felix quickly pushed himself back and said, "Come on, you need to eat something." Hyunjin blinked coming back to reality and nodded looking slightly embarrased.

Hyunjin stood up and helped Felix up to his feet as well. Felix walked out of the closet as Hyunjin followed, only to trip over his own feet and fall. Felix quickly helped Hyunjin up as Hyunjin apologized. Felix said, "You really need to eat."

"Tch, I'll be fine, let's go." Hyunjin said. Felix held Hyunjin's arm to make sure he doesn't fall again.  Both of them sneaked out of school to the cafeteria nearby.

Hyunjin frowned, "If this is a cafeteria, why does it also sell fast food?" Felix shrugged, "I dunno."

Meanwhile,

Lee Know reached home, his face drenched in tears that he didn't know he had shed. He walked inside quietly and knocked Han's door. A voice from inside said, "Who?" Lee Know blinked and wiped his face trying to look normal. He knocked again, "Jisung?" Han said, "Minho? Come in." 

Lee Know walked inside. Han looked at him concerned as Lee Know threw his bag on the floor and climbed in bed with Han. Lee Know said, "How long do I have to hurt my Jinnie until your father puts down his gun?"

Realisation flashed in Han's eyes. Han pulled lee Know up, "Jagiya?" Lee Know looked at Han with a mix of curiosity and surprise. Han smiled and said, "Just wait this month, I promise we'll figure it out together. Ok?" Lee Know sat up, still not convinced.

Han sighed and said, "You know what really hurts me though?" Lee Know looked at Han like a curious cat. Han said, "Since my accident, Hyunjin never once came to visit me." Han's eyes glossed over with unshed, and unknown tears.

Lee Know's heart dropped. He had lied about Hyunjin not making any efforts to contact Han. Hyunjin had always tried while Lee Know effectively covered his tracks. Han looked sad. Lee Know said suddenly, "I guess I thought by not telling you about your brother I was sparing you, but I can see now that I was really sparing myself."

Han looked at Lee Know confused and asked, "Not telling me what about Hyun?"

Lee Know took a deep breath and said, "When you came to live with us, Hyunjin had tried contacting you, several times. he called, and texted, and tried reaching out to you at school... The day of your accident, when your father hit you with the car, Hyunjin had jumped out of the moving car and ran to you. He was there Han, and he tired his best to talk to you. But I pushed him away thinking that I was protecting you from him."

Lee Know's eyes watered and he didn't dare look at Han. Han's low and controlled voice asked, "Then why'd he stop trying?"

Lee Know closed his eyes and said, "I... we had a fight and I... said some things and... I scared him away."

Han took a shuddery breath and Lee Know looked up at him. Lee Know immediately regretted it as he saw tears in Han's eyes. Han's looked into Lee Know's eyes with an angry and sad expression, "One whole year."

Lee Know choked on a sob, "I'm sorry."

Han closed his eyes, "I need a minute."

Lee Know nodded walking outside and giving him his space. After closing the door, Lee Know sat down on the floor leaning against the wall next to the door. He closed his eyes.

Meanwhile,

Felix's next class was going to start, so they were walking back to school.There was a small break going on so the halls were already flooded. Hyunjin sighed looking at Felix. How did Felix make everything hurt less, Hyunjin never knew. Every moment spent with him felt like he could only focus on Felix. He didn't recognize this new feeling, but oh God he loved it.

"Felix!!" came a yell from behind them. Both of them turned around together only for IN to tackle Felix in a hug while Hyunjin watched amused. Changbin was also there who was staring at Hyunjin.

Changbin said, "Hwang is way taller than the three of us. Do you drink milk everyday?" Hyunjin choked on air and Felix cackled. IN said, "What are you doing with him, doesn't your brother..." Hyunjin frowned and Felix said, "I don't need to listen to Hyung if he isn't right."

Hyunjin smiled a little and Binnie said, "Oh Felix, Hyunjin's smile is so pretty. Where did you find him?" All three of them laughed and IN said, "Stop simping, next class is goin to start, we need to go. Oh and Felix, where were you last class?"

Felix said, "I was with Hyunjin, we went to eat out." Changbin smirked and said, "Oooh, was your meal tasty Felix?" Felix nodded confusedly and Changbin said, "I mean, who wouldn't when Hyunjin was there right?" Felix raised a brow, "Duh." Hyunjin choked again but this time it was on his own spit. He really wasn't used to hanging out with real people.

IN rolled his eyes and took Changbin from his ear, pulling him with him saying, "If you get late for class I'm not covering for you Ron Weasley!" Hyunjin and Felix laughed at the duo.

Felix said, "I love them." Hyunjin chuckled and said, "I love you."

Both of them froze, smiles gone from both of their faces and silent.
