Part 34

-Rin's POV-

"Rin, Rin, are you listening? RIN!!!" Screamed a voice that most likely belonged to a certain giant forheaded banshee pinkette. "Shut up Sakura, I know the chuunin exams are important, and I was listening. Now can we hurry up and just go?" I replied, slightly annoyed. Sasuke nodded, giving Kakashi an "I agree" look. Sensei sighed. "Just go, good luck, don't die. I'm tired so I'm going home." He said lazily, walking away with a sleepy expression on his face. I snorted. "Aww muffin." I muttered, as I was promplty dragged in to the waiting room for the chuunin exams.

-Hinata's POV-

"RUFF RUFF RUFF!!!!!" Barked Akamaru, jumping on my face. "K-kiba! G-get Akamaru o-off!" I half yelled, half stuttered. He laughed, pulling the dog off my head. I was standing in a room, waiting for the chuunin exams to start. I was already nervous enough taking the exams in the first place, but the fact that we were surrounded by hostile looking ninja from other villages, was not helping to calm my nerves. "Something wrong Hinata?" Asked the quiet voice of my teammate, Shino. I shook my head. "I-It's n-no-nothing. J-just a bit n-nervous." I replied, playing with my fingers. Shino placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder. "You've got your team, and plus, I'm sure Rin's coming." He said. "Speaking of which, where is she? She's not one to be late." Kiba said, sticking his face over my shoulder. I shrugged, saying, "I dunno i-if she's t-t-taking the e-exam." Kiba opened his mouth to say something, but right on cue, the door slammed open, revealing an annoyed pink haired girl, dragging a guy with spiky black hair, and a girl with bored looking crystal blue eyes.

"Team 7, present." Said the girl, a small smirk coming to her face.

-Rin's POV-

The second I walked in, well, was dragged into the room, I spotted three of my friends. Detatching myself from Sakura, I went to go say hi to team 8. "Yo!" I grinned, hugging my indigo-haired hyuuga friend. "Hi Rin!" Hinata said with a small smile. I brofisted Kiba, and nodded politely at Shino. Hm, He really isn't one for words. "How's team 8 doing?" I asked Hinata. "We're great, thank you/" She said, giggling as we watched the staring contest between Sasuke and Kiba. Oh, looks like Ino-Shika-cho's here too. Ino was busy bickering with Sakura, and Choji was talking to Shino. Huh, so he does know how to talk. "Hello girls" Came a lazy voice from behind me. I turned around and stuck my toungue out. "Hey pineapple head." I answered. "That's not nice." He said, obviously not really caring. 

"Yeah yeah, what ever pineapple." I said, poking him playfully. He gave me a mischevious look. "If you don't stop calling me pineapple head, I'll tell Kiba you like him." " Stupid Shikamaru." I grumbled, cheeks flaming up a bit. "Rin, there seems to be a bit of tensity in the atmosphere." Aerius said, cocking his head. "Who's that?" Asked Shikamaru, pointing at my pet falcon. "My partner." I answered simply, not giving his name. Aerius had been right, though it wasn't around us, I could definetely feel an uncomfortable aura coming off of the other participants. They're probably scared. Or nervous. "You guys should really be quiet you know." Said a voice behind me. "And you are?" I asked, cocking an eyebrow at the guy standing behind me. He had mousy gray hair, and small beady pupils, and a pair of round spectacles. He pushed them up with his fingers, causing them to glint in the light. "I'm Kabuto Yakushi. And you guys shoyld really shut up."
