Always have a plan B

01:55, 27 September 2013

"You have got to be kidding me." The ex-producer complained.

"You're free to stay behind if you want." I replied making him shut up.

"So Chris, you said you know a way out?" I asked while Luther unlocked his cell.

Chris took some steps out of the cell and glanced at Bennett who flinched when he said,"Boo."

I giggled not caring at all when Bennett glared at me, my eyebrow rose as I dared he to do something.

Chris took his time observing our group when his eyes landed on Claire.

"Claire?" He gasped.

He took tentative steps towards her and she stood their staring confusingly at him.

"It's me Chris, your brother." He said hand reaching for her.

In one quick movement she grabbed his hand and held him in a chokehold.

"I don't know you." She spat out.

"Hey Claire let him go." I said softly.

She glanced at me and slowly let him go.

"Sorry about that, she lost her memories. If you're her brother, it will come back." Alice said the last part more the Claire than Chris.

"Now that the touching family reunion is over, can we get out of here?" Bennett exclaimed.

I whispered to Alice," Can I kill him now?"

She stiffled a laugh and said,"Unfortunately you can't."

I pouted at her and she smacked my arm.

Chris then began to explain his plan. Apparently his unit were using the basement as an armory and they had an assualt tatical vehicle in the garage that had enough fire power to blow a building into bits as well as run anything over.

We went to the entrance of the basement and unlocked the loading doors to find out the bottom half of the building was submerged in water. All of a sudden a huge noise rang out from the entrance of the prison.

"I seriously hate Umbrella." I said as an eight feet tall bio-weapon courtesy of Umbrella hammered at the gates.

"Alice, Chris you guys go get the weapons, we'll handle things here." I said.

I heard something about a swimming champion and tuned everything out.

I took out my twin guns and began shooting the monster in the head," No effect, crap."

Luther managed to secure the gate with a hatchet but that tiny thing wasn't going to stop the monster.

"We need to block the gate." I said spotting the police car.

We managed to push the car in front of the gate. While we were busy with the monster, Alice, Chris and Crystal were swimming towards the armory, unbeknownst to them there were swimming into zombie infested water.

Angel, Bennett and Kim were in the garage trying to get the vehicle to start.

"Oh no." Angel said staring at a two tonne engine hanging outside of the vehicle.

"Don't tell me that's suppose to go inside that thing." Bennett groaned.

"Can you fix it?" He asked.

"Maybe if I had two weeks." Angel responded.

"That's too bad." Before Angel could react Bennett shot him in the head.

We all heard an plane engine starting up and quickly ran up to the roof to see Bennett flying off. The plane quickly began to descend and looked like it would crash however at the last second he was able to pull it up.

"He'll get what's coming to him." I said.

We all heard a crash and looked down to see the gates completely destroyed. I whirled around to see Alice and Chris appear, both carrying a bag of weapons and explosives.

I could hear running footsteps and saw a hoard of zombies coming at us. Alice and I shared a glance and I shouted to everyone to get in the elevator.

"But it's broken." Luther yelled.

"Not anymore." I replied throwing an explosive charge at the cables. I could hear someone said," Hold on tight." Before the cable snapped and plunged them to the bottom.

I grabbed the bag of explosives as we ran towards the edge of the building. I threw the bag into the hoard of zombies and wrapped a cable around myself. I saw Alice doing the same, as soon as we were a safe distance away she activated the explosives. As we leapt off the building, time seem to slow down until it suddenly sped up as the ground met up with us. I couldn't help but grin as the air whipped around me, we landed on the ground in a perfectly executed roll and began shooting at anything coming at us. My head whirled around as I heard a shout," Over here!"

Alice and I made our way towards the yell, seeing Luther in the distance. It was like I was on autopilot, my body reacting to any danger in my viscinity, my shots hitting their targets with deadly accuracy. When I was like this I felt unstoppable. We were ten feet away from Luther with only a couple of zombies in the way. Alice took out her shotgun loaded full of quarters and shot it straight through the mob. I flipped over a falling zombie and slide underneath the closing door with a slightly panting Alice beside me.

"That was-", I said.

"Crazy?" Luther finished.

"Fun." I smirked.

We rejoined the others in the bathroom, Chris peered down the hole with a flashlight checking if the coast was clear.

"I'll go first." He said jumping into the hole.

We tried to convince Kim to go next but he refused, a huge axe sliced him in half and we jumped away.

We ducked as the monster swung again, it sliced through the pipes easily causing the place to flood.

I landed some kicks to it's head but it didn't even flinch. Alice aimed the shot gun at its chest but was knocked to the side and smacked into the tiled wall, the shotgun slide across the room out of reach.

I backflipped out of the way of the axe, missing it by and inch. Claire and I ran to the opposite side of the bathroom while the axeman swung wildly, slicing through anything in its way. The pipes were no match for its deadly force and a rush of water spurted out of the holes drenching the whole room in water.

There was nowhere else to run as the axeman cornered us. Claire flipped off of the wall and over the monster's head as the axe swung at us while I slid underneath its feet with the help of the slippery water. The axe embedded itself deep into the wall and the monster was trying to pull it free. At pointblank range I shot the back of its head, squirting thick red blood onto the tiles.

We waited to see if it was dead but it slowly turned around pulling the axe free. It swung the axe at our heads and at the last second Alice pushed us down, the axe embedded in the wall behind us. She turned around and the shot it in the head splattering the floor with quarters and blood.

The axeman collapsed on the ground and didn't get up. We quickly slide into the hole and made our way to the sewer. My hair was sticking to my face and I was drenched from head to toe in water. I glanced at the others and noticed the similar state they were in. I held in a giggle as I thought," I guess Alice finally got the shower she wanted."

I was almost scared out of my wits when Luther suddenly appeared out of nowhere, we followed him silently because the zombies were very close by. Alice and Claire dropped down into the sewer and Luther turned to help me down. Behind him a zombie appeared and as a last effort he pushed me into the sewers. I landed in a crouch and looked up as a landslide closed the opening of the hole.

"Luther!" Alice and I screamed.

'We have to go, we can't help him now." Claire said pulling us away from the hole.

The others began to walked away and with one last glance I hoped Luther would be okay.

We were able to find a boat without anything bad happening and set a course towards Arcadia. The boat ride was silent and grim as the thick fog surrounded us.

I leaned against Alice whispering ," He's not dead, I can feel it."

"I know." Alice replied.
