A few days later, Nalla dematerialized back at her Uncle Rehv’s camp.

She had said goodbye to John and Jhade at Wrath’s old mansion as they would be driving back to the brotherhood mansion.

No more dematerializing for Jhade anymore. Not in her condition.

Which meant that Nalla would probably not see her friend anymore for quite a while…

She felt the need to weep.

If only she hadn’t sent Darius away during her needing. If only she had let him service her completely, throughout her whole needing… maybe she’d be pregnant too. She would have a little piece of him to treasure always.

No one would even need to know.

She touched her belly. They had only been together once. It would take a miracle for her to be carrying his young inside her.

A tear fell from her eye and she whimpered. She felt so incomplete it seemed she was literally falling apart.

- Nalla? Honey, are you alright?

Bella hugged her tight and Nalla let go of everything she had been holding inside for so long.

Nalla smiled though her tears as her father hugged her a few minutes later.

When she finally calmed down a bit, they all sat down and she could tell her father was sniffing the air. Uhm... okay…

Bella ached for her daughter. She must be suffering so much. She could still remember when she thought she had lost Zsadist all those years ago. To love someone and know he had to get mated to someone else… she couldn’t even begin to imagine the pain.

- Nalla honey, how do you feel?

- Good, yeah. I think I’ll need to feed soon, but other than that, I’m great.

Bella bit her lip.

Nalla looked confused.

- About you and Darius.

Her father looked away as he said that last bit.
