Lover Sacrificed - Chapter 23

22:16, 30 June 2014

Zsadist was furious as he entered the tomb with all the brothers. He wanted to rip Darius to shreds. Just stab the dagger though his heart and end him. To hell with the consequences, to hell with the king and to hell with the brotherhood.

Of course he did like the kid, after all, they all had helped raise him. And Nalla loved the boy. She would never forgive him if he actually hurt the love of her life.

The little fucker.

He was of half a mind to cut D’s cock off but again, his Nalla would not appreciate that.

So he would make sure to inflict as much pain as he possibly could.

He snarled when they entered the open space. The Scribe Virgin was here to oversee the ritual and make sure no real harm befell the heir of their race.

Soon, Darius was standing with his back against the wall, holding on to the kegs. He looked him right in the eye, with no fear, just pure determination, and he couldn’t help but respect him for it.

He had three blows.

Three chances to cut, stab or slice.

He knew exactly what he was going to do.

He faced Darius and started his cut on the top right part of his chest, and carved. He carved and carved and carved, the dagger never leaving his skin until he got to the top left side of his chest. As long as the dagger was touching skin, it counted as one strike so he had two more to go. Repeating the process, he saw a tear fall from Darius’s eyes and he knew it wasn’t because of the physical pain. Darius knew exactly what Zsadist was carving into his skin.

Darius looked at Zsadist when he was finished.

The cuts had hurt him deeply, but only on the inside. He knew when he looked in the mirror for the next couple of days, he would see Nalla’s name carved into his skin.

He wanted to rub salt into the cuts, so the scars would stay with him forever.

An eerie silence decended over all of them in the tomb as if there was an impending sense of doom in the air.

All the brothers were looking at him with respect. All of them held their fists out to him to bump their knuckles with his, and he smiled though the lump in his throat.

One day, he would lead these males, or males just like these. He had earned their loyalty and respect. Now he just needed to keep it.

His head pounded as he got to his father, expecting the usual pat on the back. He was shocked when he was pulled into his father’s arms for an embrace.

- I am so, so sorry, my son.

He could hear the raw emotion in his father’s voice. His father, who never apologized for anything.

The brothers pretended to be very interested in the Tomb’s walls and he had to grin despite himself.

- How about we all go back to the mansion. I could really use a drink.
