One Great George Street

6 months later

"If you don't get those calla lilies out to the tables in ten minutes then I swear to Merlin I will change the name of our son!" Ginny shouted to Harry while grabbing a bunch of ribbons.

Ginny was Hermione's Matron of Honour (instead of a Maid of Honour since she was married) and took the job extremely seriously. Something else to be known was that she was also six months pregnant with her first born and not to be messed with.

"Where are you going, Ginny? Maybe you should-" Harry started to say before he earned a death glare from his wife. "No, no! Don't worry, loving husband here to do your bidding."

Ginny ran off to the Dress Room where she found Lavender working with the bridesmaids' dresses.

"How're they coming along? Do they all still fit okay?" She asked, her eyes slightly bulging.

Lavender looked up at Ginny. "Yes, everyone is all fitted." Ginny was checking all of the dresses to make sure they were up to her standards.

"What about yours, Lav?" Ginny asked, calming down a little, now that it all seemed to be in order. She took a seat on the red velvet bench against the wall.

Lavender smiled and pointed to the dark red dress that was behind her in the corner. "Yes, I had to fix a couple of spots, but it fits perfectly now."

Ginny sighed, laying back against the wall. "Oh, good...." She looked exhausted.

Lavender walked over to her, a little concerned. "Are you alright?"

Ginny looked up, glaring.

"I know, I know, you're fine. But," Lavender scooted next to her on the bench, "you're also six months pregnant. It's okay if people worry."

Ginny sighed again. "You're right. I need to calm myself and not freak out so much." She leaned forward again and looked at Lavender. "It's just this wedding! It has to be perfect. It's for Hermione and Malfoy!"

"And it is perfect already!" Lavender laughed, getting up. "Just take deep breaths, and remember that everyone is here to help."

Ginny stood up as well, hands on her back for balance. "Alright, I'll go out and check on the others. Where's Hermione?"

Lavender looked away from the dress she was now playing with. "She's in the Bridal Room, I believe. But she may have gone out to the kitchens to eat something."

"Thanks, Lavender!" Ginny yelled and waddled her way out of the room. Before turning the corner she went back to her friend. "I'm sorry about Ron, Lav. How are the kids doing?"

Shortly after Hermione and Draco got engaged, Ron decided he was tired of his wife never "standing up for him." He also decided that Hermione wasn't a true friend if she went out with "the enemy." He divorced Lavender and didn't bother asking for any sort of custody of his children. He quit the Ministry, too.

Lavender laughed. "You know, at first I was furious with him, yes. But it was already getting rocky, and he didn't see anything wrong with his actions. I guess it just took seeing that Hermione was with a man who had matured from his school days when Ron hadn't. In case you hadn't noticed, everyone else had as well," she sighed. "But," she folded her arms and walked to Ginny, "the kids seem to be doing fine. They wanted to know where their father was for the first month but stopped asking when I told them I didn't know. I only just recently heard from someone that he's been staying with your parents."

Ginny's jaw dropped. "My brother's staying with my parents? Are you serious? After leaving everything he had, he just plops down on the couch at The Burrow?" She always knew her brother was an idiot, but she never thought he would do something like this in a million years.

Lavender nodded. "That's what I heard from someone I work with. Apparently, she knows your brother, George."

"Ron sucks," Ginny said, looking at Lavender seriously. They burst out laughing. "I gotta get back to work, okay?"

Lavender nodded, still laughing.

Ginny half ran-half waddled to the kitchen. She figured if Hermione were anywhere right then it would be there. She wasn't much of a dress woman and wouldn't be spending a lot of time in the Bridal Room. At the kitchen door, Ginny almost ran into several venue workers.

"Watch it! I'm pregnant!" She yelled after them as they walked away with trays. She scoffed. In the kitchen she found Hermione sitting on the counter, scarfing away on a brownie.

"Hermione Granger!" Ginny waddled around the kitchen island to where Hermione was sitting. "Why are you here? Stop eating the food!" She pulled her off the counter. "Let's go to your room and get you in your dress!"

Hermione crossed her arms and frowned at Ginny. "I just wanted a brownie. Besides, I already know what I look like in the dress. Why would I need to try it on again?"

Ginny scowled."Because you have to get ready! You still need your makeup done and everything!" She pulled Hermione in the direction of the door but turned around to smirk at her. "And, because I said so. That reason enough?"

Hermione rolled her eyes, and Ginny started pulling her arm again.

"Fine." She tried pulling her hand out of Ginny's grasp, but it was surprisingly strong.

They both made their way to the Bridal Room but stopped when they passed the Groomsmens' Room. Ginny stuck her head in. "You all decent?"

"Well, if we weren't," came Seamus's voice, "it would be too late now, wouldn't it?" You could almost hear him rolling his eyes.

Ginny ignored the comment and dragged Hermione in with her. The room was decorated with dark green: One of the Slytherin colours, of course. Draco's idea. He and Hermione agreed to have both Slytherin and Gryffindor colours for their wedding, which is why Lavender and the other two Bridesmaids had dark red dresses, and Ginny had a dark green one, with her being the Matron of Honour. Her dress was simpler. It had sleeves and was extremely flowy. She needed more room since she was pregnant.

Seamus was one of the Groomsmen, and he was wearing a dark green suit. He looked quite handsome. Dean was sitting next to him on the window sill, wearing the same. The other Groomsmen were Neville and Harry, and they were chatting on a bench against the far wall. The only one missing was Theo, and he was Draco's Best Man. He was the one who would be wearing a dark red suit, which he originally disliked being that it was a Gryffindor colour. Now, however, he thought he looked incredible in it.

Ginny looked around at everyone. "So, is Theo with Malfoy? He must be..." She tapped her index finger on her chin. "Alright, everything looks great! You all look fantastic." She gave a thumbs up and turned to leave but quickly turned around to face Harry. "Harry, you need to fix your tie." And with that, she turned around, Hermione still being dragged, and left.

Walking down the hall again, Hermione glanced down at their hands, which Ginny seemed to be squeezing harder and harder by the second.

"Um, Ginny? My hand is going numb." She nodded her head down to show her.

"Oh, sorry," Ginny apologised. "Just...a little nervous!" She took a deep breath, while her eyes scanned the hall around them.

"Ginny," Hermione laughed, "this is my wedding. Why are you nervous?" She watched Ginny's face, which was still turning this way and that, like a squirrel that couldn't sit still.

"It has to be perfect, Hermione!" Ginny exclaimed. "Perfect!"

Hermione pulled her to the side, and some venue workers passed. "Ginny," she steadied her, "it is already perfect. You know I don't care how fancy this wedding is. It's all Draco and Narcissa's idea, this place." She looked around at all of the marble carvings, the shiny wooden walls, the paintings and portraits on the walls, and the extravagant red carpet.

Ginny took a deep breath again. "You're right," she agreed. "You're right! Let's head over to your room."

Around the corner, they quite literally almost ran into Luna. She was wearing a dark red, off-the-shoulder dress, just like Lavender and the one other Bridesmaid, and she looked stunning. The third Bridesmaid was Theo's wife, Amber, and she didn't seem to want to be around anyone except her husband.

"Oh, hello!" Luna greeted Ginny and Hermione in her dream-like voice. "Where are you off to? You aren't ready yet, Hermione."

Hermione laughed at Luna and her ways of pointing out the obvious.

"No, I'm not. Ginny's making me get ready now, though." She nudged Ginny, who scowled.

Luna's face lit up, and she hopped up and down with excitement. "Oh! Can I come? I'd love to help!" Her eyes were bigger than normal. "I've been wandering around and am becoming quite bored, you see."

Ginny and Hermione looked at each other and laughed. "Of course you can, Luna," Hermione said. "I'll need all the help I can get!" Hermione wrapped her arm around Luna's shoulders as the three of them walked.
